The mainstream media has reported the fact that VA Tech killer had “Ismail Ax” written on his arm in red ink, however I don’t see any of those same MSM outlets following up on this interesting story. “Ismail” is clearly an Arabic reference, so is the hands-off treatment due to fear of what they’ll find? Will further digging show us the killer was an Islamic convert?

First it was Johnny Muhammad, now it was Cho Sueng Hui aka Ismail Ax. Precisely how many mass shooters have to turn out to have adopted Muslim names before we get it? Islam has become the tribe of choice of those who hate American society. I’m not talking about people who grew up as Muslims, confident and secure in their faith, good fathers, sons and neighbors. I’m talking about the angry, malignant, narcissist loners who want to reject their community utterly, to throw off their ’slave name’ and represent the downtrodden of the earth by shooting their friends and neighbors.
This morning I read that the Virginia Tech shooter died with the name Ismail Ax written in red ink on his arm. The mainstream press doesn’t seem to have a clue as to what this might mean. To quote Indiana Jones, “Didn’t any of you guys go to Sunday School?”
Obviously the killer didn’t write the name on his arm as one big coincidence, there’s a reason. Will we ever really find out what it is?
NBC news is now reporting that the killer mailed them a package with “disturbing ramblings”, that included pictures and video. From MSNBC:
Among the materials are 23 QuickTime video files showing Cho talking directly to the camera, Capus said. He does not name anyone specifically, but he talks at length about religion and his hatred of the wealthy
Which religion? Why don’t they specify? The killer has made statements (in writing) about various grievances about America and Americans. This is sounding all too familiar…

*Update* I’m watching NBC Nightly News (probably a first) and I missed the first 15 min. The teaser as they just went to commercial was “more video from the killer himself”…
*Update* According to Allah, I missed Brian Williams say the return address was signed “Ismail”, pronounced Ishmael by Williams.
*Update* I saw the video, you can go here if you want to see it too (although, its all over the tv news, which is kind of gross), and the killer makes weird references to Jesus. Some people blogging believe he’s a wacko Christian. I’m not convinced, since “Ismail” is decidedly Arabic, but I guess its possible he wasn’t really any “religion”, just his own evil version of a combination of things. Brian Williams says they haven’t shown everything, “don’t want to make more martyrs”, but more will air tomorrow.
