Despicable Far Left Fascism

Do you like this story?

You can say despicable things as a Professor, and it won’t get you fired. Just look at this guy still with his job:

Ward Churchill -

- Questioned the innocence of some of the 9/11 victims, and compared their role in what he describes as ongoing genocidal American imperialism the role played by Adolf Eichmann in organizing the Holocaust; led to both condemnations of Churchill and counter-accusations of McCarthyism from Churchill and his supporters.

- The Standing Committee on Research Misconduct, agreed unanimously that Churchill had engaged in “serious research misconduct,” including four counts of falsifying information, two counts of fabricating information, two counts of plagiarizing the works of others, improperly reporting the results of studies, and failing to “comply with established standards regarding author names on publications.”

I know, it’s amazing how this despicable individual still has his job considering not only the controversial statements he’s made, but also his ties to plagiarism, to ethics issues regarding research misconduct. They actually came close to firing him, but never did.

But….

Don’t dare talk about gun control. It will get you fired:

Professor Fired Over Va. Tech Discussion

BOSTON Apr 23, 2007 (AP)— An adjunct professor was fired after leading a classroom discussion about the Virginia Tech shootings in which he pointed a marker at some students and said “pow.” The five-minute demonstration at Emmanuel College on Wednesday, two days after a student killed 32 people on the Virginia Tech campus, included a discussion of gun control, whether to respond to violence with violence, and the public’s “celebration of victimhood,” said the professor, Nicholas Winset.During the demonstration, Winset pretended to shoot some students. Then one student pretended to shoot Winset to illustrate his point that the gunman might have been stopped had another student or faculty member been armed.“A classroom is supposed to be a place for academic exploration,” Winset, who taught financial accounting, told the Boston Herald. He said administrators had asked the faculty to engage students on the issue. But on Friday, he got a letter saying he was fired and ordering him to stay off campus.

Winset, 37, argued that the Catholic liberal arts school was stifling free discussion by firing him, and he said the move would have a “chilling effect” on open debate.

Silly of course, anything to disrupt what he’s trying to tell people and that is that society needs to allow more good people to be armed.

In other far-left fascistic behavior…

IMAO reminds us of the “Despicable’s” at DKos: “Betsy Angert of Daily Kos has posted a long and emotional eulogy lamenting the untimely passing of Seung-Hui Cho…Read more

It’s never a surprise to see something like this. This was a far cry from what our experience was at UCLA a few weeks ago, where good people shouted down the protesters, and demanded free speech regardless of the topic. This just shows the far left does not want you to have free speech. If people like this were in power we would be living in fascist, oppressive world where the authorities would silence you when they don’t like what you’re saying.
