Mr. President, Have You Actually Read The Immigration Bill?

May 30th 2007

The President lashed out at the conservative base today, over the latest attempt to pass immigration legislation.

“Those determined to find fault with this bill will always be able to look at a narrow slice of it and find something they don’t like.”

“If you want to kill the bill, if you don’t want to do what’s right for America, you can pick one little aspect out of it, you can use it to frighten people. Or you can show leadership and solve this problem once and for all”

The Talk Radio Giants responded:

From Limbaugh today:

Rush said it was wrong for “the people who have stood by him through thick and thin when everybody’s been trying to destroy him,” and said he’d understand if some of his listeners “flew the coop” on Bush based on his immigration comments.

“I just wish he hadn’t done it, because he’s not going to lose me on Iraq, national security, war on terror, but he may lose some of you,” Limbaugh said. “The people who’ve hung with you, you don’t just cast them aside, even in a casual sense. That’s what worries me most.”

From Hannity:

In response to the President’s suggestion that those who oppose “amnesty” don’t have the country’s best interests in mind.

“They’re trying to ram this whole down our throats,” Hannity said. “You know, the idea that we don’t want to do what’s right for America? No, we actually do. We believe in the laws as presently passed, and we believe in consequences for those that break our laws.”

from Levin

“We are the 28 percent or the 32 percent who supports this president, and he puts us down? He treats us like we’re stupid?” Levin said. “Don’t degrade us, Mr. President, don’t smear us. Don’t project onto us what you want to think of us, because we aren’t what you say. And the idea that you’d turn on your own supporters and treat them this way, something’s wrong with that.”

“You imply that we have animosity toward a certain race of people. You treat us like we’re Klansmen. To be frank, it’s pretty disgusting, to be honest with you,” he continued. “We are studying the bill, we are breaking it down. Are you? And you really think by smearing us, you’ll win the day?”

Breast Feeding Grown Men

May 27th 2007

Sounds disgusting and sick right?

Here’s the Islamic logic:

It is a grave sin for any Muslim woman to be in a room alone with another man. This becomes a problem when working Muslim women sometimes are put in a situation where they have to work and sometimes there’s nothing they can do, although they know their committing a horrible sin by being in the room alone with another man.

So, to solve this problem, Islamic scholars issued a hadith that goes all the way back to the days of Muhammad.

When Mohammed cancelled the principle of adoption, Salim became a stranger in the house and could no longer be alone with Sahla, Abu Huthayfa’s wife. The Lady complained to Mohammed who immediately provided her with a genius solution- he asked her to breast-feed Salim, after which she would again be allowed to keep him as a son with her in the house. She said: ‘but Salim is a man and has a beard!’ Mohammed smiled to her and said ‘I know that’.

Well, since Muhammad said it, it must be right. I know, I know, many Muslims have rejected this practice, but if it came directly from Muhammad, how can the majority reject it?

Q.33:36. It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision…
Some of these Muslims attempted to soften the impact of the fatwa on the shocked Muslim community in various ways. Some expressed reservations about the way the fatwa was presented to the public while others tried to explain that breast-feeding doesn’t necessarily imply direct contact between a man and a woman. They suggested that a woman could collect her milk in a cup and offer it to a male colleague! This group of Muslims try to reform Islam in their own way, in doing so they forget that women do not always produce milk.

With anger and embarrassment, the majority of Muslims, however, reject the fatwa. They claim that Mohammed could have never allowed something like that. Needless to say this group of Muslims never heard of the above story before. I do not blame them, because, as a Muslim I myself heard of it only in my later years. Even then, I assumed the hadith was a weak one, which is why I never considered using it as a credible proof of the falsity of Islam.

But the hadith is a credible one, and has been reported by sahih books like Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah. Moreover, this hadith has been thoroughly investigated by a number of highly revered Islamic scholars like Ibn Taymiyya, Ibn Hazm and Al Albani. Denying a hadith with such strength would be like denying the existence of main Islamic events like fasting and prayers.

So, I can understand why most Muslims reject this Hadith, but it should reveal something even more important about Muhammed and his wonderful religion of peace. Muhammad had an agenda and he didn’t think twice about breaking his own rules to fit that agenda.

Of course, it’s better in Muhammad’s eyes for a woman to breast feed a grown man, rather than just suck it up and actually be alone in a room with another man. How RETARDED is this way of thinking?

“Um, no sir, I’m sorry, I have to breast feed you before you can enter my house, Allah forbids me to let you in my house while I am alone. ”

Wow…just wow

“Blame America First” Is Cancerous To Western Civilization

May 23rd 2007

hamaskid

John Edwards came out again today with his usual obsessive Bush hatred combined with his pacifistic, wussifistic, pathetic, un-intelligent, garbage :

edwards “We need a post-Bush, post-9/11, post-Iraq military that is mission focused on protecting Americans from 21st century threats, not misused for discredited ideological purposes,” Edwards said in remarks prepared for delivery. “By framing this as a war, we have walked right into the trap the terrorists have set—that we are engaged in some kind of clash of civilizations and a war on Islam.”

And how is the ideology of defeating radical Islam discredited? I assume he’s talking about, again, more hatred of the ideology of the Bush Administration, completely over-looking/denying the real threat that is RADICAL ISLAM.

Oh, and he also said, “some kind of clash of civilizations and a war on Islam”……

Ummm…ya think????

Wow, thanks for that insightful information into Islamic terrorism, John, you seem like such a visionary…

Amnesty International also came out today and said “the “war on terror” is “dividing the world”.

The gap between Muslims and non-Muslims notably deepened, fueled by discriminatory counter-terrorism strategies in Western countries, warned the rights group in its annual report.

Human rights are also routinely flouted in Iraq and Afghanistan, on the front line of the US-led crackdown on international extremism since the September 11, 2001 attacks which triggered a profound geopolitical shift.

Cause, you know, this is all our fault, this whole war on terror thing, ya know, it’s the West’s fault, because God forbid we actually “crack down on terrorism” cause, ya know…all we need to do is “talk” and we can resolve most of our differences, you know?

Forget about the fact that our enemy will not hesitate to behead, shoot, stab, rape and pillage all in the name of Allah, but, ya know, I think you could talk them out of it.

Irresponsible Legislature: Immigration Reform

May 20th 2007

amnesty

Hugh Hewitt has a fantastic analysis of the immigration bill that has been drafted and passed in the House.

I read all 8 parts, and Hugh did a great job translating text for the average reader. Here’s his final analysis:

There are so many problems with this bill that it should not be introduced in the Senate absent a period of open hearings on it and the solicitation of expert opinion from various analysts across the ideological spectrum. Even were it somehow to improbably make its way to the president’s desk, if it does so before these problems are aired and confronted, the Congress would be inviting a monumental distrust of the institution. There is simply too much here to say “Trust us,” and move on. The jam down of such a far reaching measure, drafted in secret and very difficult for laymen much less lawyers to read, is fundamentally inconsistent with how we govern ourselves.

From TLB:

If those who forged this “compromise” have their way, this bill will be voted on as early as Tuesday. That’s a crazily short amount of time for Senators — let alone the American public — to review, understand, and have a voice on the substance of such a complex bill.

Also TLB has formed a very nice breakdown of this bill for readers online. The Point in this is to breakdown each topic that the bill discusses, and allow readers to leave comments on each specific part of the bill. This is a great way for you to speak out on any part of the bill that you agree/disagree with, so if you decide to read it, leave some comments on areas you think are important. Check it out here.

Take notice people…

Immigration is a MAJOR issue in our country. It’s not something that should be taken lightly. The way our legislature is pushing this through is totally reprehensible. I pray they consider stretching it out so the American people and all Senators get a chance to look this bill over very carefully before deciding on such a big issue.

Rudy Giuliani vs. Ron Paul

May 16th 2007

It’s about time this guy (Ron Paul) gets exposed. How can he even be a nominee? He doesn’t represent the GOP, and his views are obviously out of touch with reality. I’m glad Giuliani put him in his place.

Taliban Says “Convert or Die” To Afghan Christians

May 16th 2007

talibansword
from FN

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Christians in a Pakistani town beset by pro-Taliban militants sought government protection Wednesday, the eve of a deadline for them to convert to Islam or face violence.

About 500 Pakistani Christians in Charsadda, a town in the North West Frontier Province bordering Afghanistan, received letters earlier this month telling them to close their churches and convert by Thursday or be the target of “bomb explosions.”

Several Christians, a tiny minority in the predominantly Muslim country, have fled town and others are living in fear, community leaders said.

And why haven’t the coalition forces bombed the hell out of the Taliban? Since when did we stop fighting these a-holes in Afghanistan? Where is our intelligence? Why are we so wussified to political diplomacy? BOMB THEM, and call it a day.

Will the US allow Iran to have breakout capability?

May 14th 2007

How far will we let Iran go?…Full article

In the arcane terminology of nuclear proliferation, that is known as a “breakout capability,” the ability to throw inspectors out of the country and then produce weapons-grade fuel, as North Korea did in 2003.

Some Bush administration officials and some nuclear experts here at the I.A.E.A. and elsewhere suspect that the Iranians may not be driving for a weapon but rather for that “breakout capability,” because that alone can serve as a nuclear deterrent. It would be a way for Iran to make clear that it could produce a bomb on short notice, without actually possessing one.

One senior European diplomat, who declined to speak for attribution, said Washington would now have to confront the question of whether it wants to keep Iran from producing any nuclear material or whether it wants to keep Tehran from gaining the ability to build a weapon on short notice.

“The key decision you have to make right now,” the diplomat said, “is that if you don’t want the breakout scenario, you would have to freeze the Iranian program at a laboratory scale. Because if you continue this stalemate, that will bring you, eventually, to a breakout capability.”

Those in the Bush administration who take a hard line on Iran make the opposite argument. They say that the only position that President Bush can take now, without appearing to be backing down, is to stick to the administration’s past argument that “not one centrifuge spins” in Iran. They argue for escalating sanctions and the threat that, if diplomacy fails, the United States could take out the nuclear facilities in a military strike.

But even inside the administration, many officials, particularly in the State Department and the Pentagon, argue that military action would prompt greater chaos in the Middle East and Iranian retribution against American forces in Iraq and possibly elsewhere. Moreover, they have argued that Iran’s enrichment facilities are still at an early enough stage that a military strike would not set the country’s program back very far. Such a strike, they argue, would only make sense once large facilities have been built.

Vice President Cheney, in an interview conducted with Fox News at the end of his trip to the Mideast, said today that Iran appears “to be determined to develop the capacity to enrich uranium in order to produce nuclear weapons.” But he issued no threats, saying simply “they ought to comply with the U.N. resolutions.

I still believe that Iran will do a lot more damage than people are projecting as a retaliation. I think they are ready, and looking for a reason to strike places in and around the US. The Jihad against America is more popular than ever before. Hezbollah and Syria are at their wing, including every cell that could potentially be implanted in mosques all around the US at this very moment.

Iran will unleash a wave of attacks around the world, this is just the next step towards that.

I have a really hard time believing President Bush will sit and do nothing before he leaves office. It’s not a matter of “if” at this point, it’s a matter of “when” this is going to happen and how it will go down.

Keep your eyes and ears open and please protect your family with the necessary means, if you don’t already…

Thank You Mothers

May 13th 2007

To all the mothers out there, may today be filled with love and appreciation for all you do. Motherhood is something that even those of us with opposite points of view can come together and gush and commiserate about.

And, from the Jawa’s:

To all the mothers who have lost a child defending freedom and the rule of law, whether Iraq, Afghanistan or elsewhere, hopefully the following is appropriate.

Executive Mansion
Washington
Nov. 21, 1864
To Mrs. Bixby
Boston, Mass.

Dear Madam,

I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours very sincerely and respectfully,
A. Lincoln
