And the MSM isn’t?

Rush on Trent Lott’s comments saying “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”
“You’ve got Republicans talking about talk radio like liberals talk about talk radio. That tells you something. ” Yes, it does. It tells you that the Republican Party is in deep, deep doo-doo. “
What the FRACK is up with LOTT???? If he thinks this about talk radio, then what the hell does he think of the mainstream media? Does he think THAT’s a problem? The mainstream left is 100 times more of a problem than the one outlet conservatives still have in this country besides the blogosphere and that is TALK RADIO.
Some serious problems with the GOP right now.

One more example of why term limits need to be implemented……….along with weekly mental health exams.
Comment by Todd Gibbs on 17 June 2007:
Trent Lott is contributing to the total decline of the United States Of America. He should resign before he causes more deline in our freedoms.
Comment by D Long on 17 June 2007:
He swore an other to protect the law of the land… So he needs to do his job and serve the people instead of restricting free speech. Lott is a problem not a solution to our nation. To put it blunt he needs to be jerked out of office for suggesting such a thing. He is a trader and is unfit to lead! Do you hear us Trent Lott you are unfit to lead!
Comment by Biff Ulysses on 17 June 2007:
Serious, serious problems with the GOP indeed. With fine old “moderate” boys like Lott, Giuliani, and Specter, who needs liberal Democrats? The GOP better learn that the sweeping losses in ‘06 were in no way solely due to the Iraq mess. Brush off the conservative base (in other words, the relatively silent massive majority) and you lose elections. Implement larger government and massive spending on social programs, you lose elections. Funnel money into multinational interests, you lose elections. Cede American power in the name of diplomacy toward scoundrelly rival nations, you lose elections. Dilute personal freedom and downplay personal responsibility, you lose elections. Act like erratic, corrupt, blind hypocrites, you lose elections. It’s pretty simple.
Comment by DAVID BRUNO on 18 June 2007:
This post is to decry the outrageous comments spoken by Senator Trent Lott about ‘talk radio’ on June 14, 2007.
From the NY Times:
“Comments by Republican senators on Thursday suggested that they were feeling the heat from conservative critics of the bill, who object to provisions offering legal status. The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”… At some point, Mr. Lott said, Senate Republican leaders may try to rein in “younger guys who are huffing and puffing against the bill.”
This is prima facie of Senator Lott’s pragmatic opposition to the first amendment to the constitution that he is SWORN to uphold: ‘Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech’.
His foolishness in this matter reveals an unfittness for his office. Maybe not in managerial ability but in an obtuse absence of restraint that only a proponent of big government, from the left or the right, would have.
Comment by K. Smith on 18 June 2007:
To D. Long, The word is “traitor”, not trader. Mr. Lott is not a traitor, or trader as you say, merely because he too is expressing his freedom of speach, opinion, etc. He disagrees, but he is not a traitor.
