Washington Elitists vs Talk Radio and Blogosphere

Do you like this story?

So as I was driving through the California-Arizona desert this morning, I was “brainwashed” and “misinformed” by the following people who “seem” to be running America

Considering what Diane Feinstein said about talk radio today and reviving the fairness doctrine…..

FEINSTEIN: Well, in my view, talk radio tends to be one-sided. It also tends to be dwelling in hyperbole. It’s explosive. It pushes people to, I think, extreme views without a lot of information.

WOW… I guess we’re extremists for PAYING ATTENTION to what our government is doing! She thinks that YOU ALL ARE SHEEP. Since when does talk radio NOT give all facts and information. We thrive on facts and reasoning. Are you retarded? We discuss facts and reason with logic, intelligence, and clarity. The scum in Washington are the ones who are imposing their “extreme views” on the American people when we’re telling you to hold on and slow down! You shoving this crap down our throats!

This is a very complicated bill. It’s seven titles. Most people don’t know what’s in this bill.

REALLY? What are these dumb, ignorant, idiot, self serving politicians up to? We READ the Bill, you dhimmiwits!! Did you read it?? Your LYING to the American people and you’re totally transparent. OMG Get over yourself!! (sorry for losing my cool)

Therefore, to just have one or two things dramatized and taken out of context, such as the word amnesty — we have a silent amnesty right now, but nobody goes into that. Nobody goes into the flaws of our broken system.

This bill fixes those flaws. Do I think there should be an opportunity on talk radio to present that point of view? Yes, I do, particularly about the critical issues of the day.

WALLACE: So would you revive the fairness doctrine?

FEINSTEIN: Well, I’m looking at it, as a matter of fact, Chris, because I think there ought to be an opportunity to present the other side. And unfortunately, talk radio is overwhelmingly one way.

Maybe it’s one way because the boring, emotional, take it personal, liberal way of thinking is BORING for an audience. Conservative talk radio has thrived because the listeners participate and there is actually a valid discussion with facts and reason. Novel Idea huh!!?? It’s not our fault you SUCK at drawing an audience. Ever heard of the free market? Of course Liberals don’t want a free market, they want a FAIR market. Socialism veiled by liberalism….

WALLACE: But the argument would be it’s the marketplace, and if liberals want to put on their own talk radio, they can put it on. At this point, they don’t seem to be able to find much of a market.

FEINSTEIN: Well, apparently, there have been problems. It is growing. But I do believe in fairness. I remember when there was a fairness doctrine, and I think there was much more serious correct reporting to people.

These two Elitists don’t represent us. They are so threatened by the power of talk radio, threatened by the will of the American people who’s only representation (talk radio/blogosphere) is being threatened.

Let me ask them this…

How can talk radio have such an influence when it’s NOT EVEN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA...

Mainstream Media consists of: NY Times, Wash Post, Boston Globe, LA Times, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CBS ………ALL LEFT LEANING MEDIA. EVERYONE KNOWS IT

What we are: Talk radio, and Conservative blogoshpere. (I don’t even include Foxnews cause they’ve pissed off so many of us too with their liberal crap.)

We should be way more worried about the Mainstream Left and their contributions to the decline of the West.

I just want to say also, that I am an avid talk radio fan. I listen to most major talk radio shows every week.

I have NEVER seen this type of “war of words” go on between Talk radio and ALL POLITICIANS before. There is borderline revolutionary chatter going on.

Oh and one more thing…..TALK RADIO = CONSERVATIVE BLOGOSPHERE. They’re one in the same, folks…..

I agree that talk radio is not the problem. If democrats had such a problem with talk radio, they would not support Air America radio. It’s not that they object to talk radio, they object to the views expressed on some talk radio stations. In other words, they object to democracy despite being the democrats. There are things which could be better about talk radio, but that’s a separate issue. Talk radio isn’t news radio, so there isn’t the same need for balance. News needs to be accurate, talk radio needs to be opinionated. Unfortunately for talk radio, talk radio hosts have fallen into the trap. They have been debating the silly views about talk radio being a bad thing. This is good for the Democrats, because while talk radio hosts are talking about talk radio, they’re not talking about acts of terrorism, crime which is causing death and damage, immigration, the economy, health, education etc. I suggest that talk radio hosts and their supporters stop paying any attension to silly views about talk radio, and concentrate on far more important matters.

Of course the Dems want to shut the opposition up, they can’t argue a single point with rational. As far as trent lott, HE’S THROUGH . The people of Mississippi have had enough of his garbage. We backed him up , he let us down. This shows how much, big government doesn’t give a rats behind about us. Politicians will say and do anything to get elected , then put the screws to us all. I don’t even know if i’m going to vote in the next election, I really have no choice.
