More Mohammed cartoon madness

Do you like this story?

Here we go again. Muslims are “hurt” by the depiction by a Swedish newspaper depicting the head of Mohammed on a dog.

Once again we see how Islam is not compatible with Freedom.

The Swedish Newspaper Nerikes Allehanda defends the cartoon:

“This is unacceptable self-censorship,” the newspaper wrote in an editorial on its website today, referring to the reluctance by galleries to exhibit Vilks’s drawings.

“The right to freedom of religion and the right to blaspheme religions go together,” it wrote.

I’m just glad the whole world is getting fed up with hearing aobut story after story about how “Muslims” are being offended , oppressed, and victimized, yet they’re perfectly fine in living under Islamic rule which does the exact same thing to them, if not worse.

Some comments over at Free Republic:

I think the world’s Muslims need to attend Anger Management training.

The West should simply have a permanent, ever-changing display of Mohammed cartoons, at multiple locations in multiple countries. The cartoon displays should state that their purpose is not to anger Muslims, and not to denigrate Mohammed—but simply to desensitize Muslims to such displays, and teach them a lesson about freedom.

another:

May I suggest a Mohammed Cartoon Network? That would be hilarious.

one more”

It could have been worse – they could have given it the body of a pig.

Asalamualaikum Brothers and sisters around the world. I am a muslim and I would quite be happy if you people never posted this online . If want to draw this then keep it to yourself. I know thats just how you feel but if you notice and look around its hurting other people’s feelings around. Please take this to consideration and thank you

  • Chris

That is your problem. Stay off line if you do not like what you see and keep your religion to yourself.

Lets us know when the Islamic community looks around and is considerate of non-Muslims.
  • Storm-Rider

A person’s right to life and liberty (including freedom of speech) trumps another’s right not to be offended by another’s life and liberty. Murdering or enslaving because of hurt religious feelings is evil, evil, evil – infinitely evil – forever evil.

Elham, it’s a free world, I don’t care if you’re offended. Islam offends me. So go wash that sand out your vag and stop cryin over hurt feelings.

I do hope this is not going to cause another flag burning international incident, it is causing a flag shortage.

How delightful to make your acquaintance, Ruslan, even if it is only of an electronic nature. It is so uplifting to communicate with scholars such as yourself. Improving, even. Yes, one must admit, educational as well. Your command of language and ease of expression are an object lesson to us all, so we must strive might and main to claw our way to attain your exalted literary status. True, we do not know the physiognomy of the man you so revere, but we have an excellent idea of his nature from his evil pronouncements and deeds, and the actions of his followers. It was wrong of the cartoonist to place Mo's head on the body of a dog because in doing so he is guilty of insulting the entire canine species.

I just stumbled across this post… How noble of all of you commenters! I wish all you freedom-loving would hate like you! One polite muslim, and we get “wash that sand out your vag” as a reply! What fun! You told him alright… that you're all just a bunch of idiotic hate-filled low-lives trying to provoke another crusade. Freedom for all—except those you don't like.

    • http://infidelsarecool.com Infidelesto

hating evil is a noble and moral thing.

What is evil? not all Muslims, but the ideology that so many Muslims adhere to. IT's a problem and failing to recognize the problems within Islam while calling anyone who criticizes it “hate-filled” is just plain stupid and avoiding the elephant in the room.

You say we're provoking another crusade? Um, we have every right and moral obligation to defend our values from the evils of poltical and militaristic Islamic totalitarianism.

You said Freedom for all—except those you don't like.

Um, if taking away one's “right” to blow themselves up in a crowded marketplace or taking away one's “right” to violate my freedoms with their political Islamofascist hatred towards women, homosexuals and non-muslims is somehow “anti-freedom”, you've got serious problems with your logic.

I don't wish to give freedom to:
-the Taliban to ban children and women from going to school.
-Al Qaeda to fly planes into buildings
-Marxists to destroy my country's Constitution
-Islamic Totalitarian regimes to threaten Israel and America with nuclear holocaust
-treat women and children like an “asset” instead of a human being

You're just another sympathizer who can't stand anyone criticizing Islam.

    • JEWHAWK

      You are a MUSLIM… CLOWN.

Nothing can be worse than a muslim in disguise.

Hey, CLOWN, move your carcass out of here ! Your flesh is rapidly decomposing and
      the STENCH is bothering me.

      Muslim WORM.

      Crusade ?

You bet I'm in a Crusade against IDIOCY and YOU are one of them…
Gather your couple of neurons and somehow figure a fast way to kill yourself.

It seems you are less than enamoured of those who would express concern over perceived threats to their well-being and very existence, although you refrain from telling them why. It also appears that you are unable to recognise that those you condemn out of hand are deeply concerned about denial of freedom to the distaff side of Islam. You disapprove of such concern? Why?
