One day before it all happened, according to Memri

On September 18, 2007, a day before the assassination of anti-Syrian Lebanese MP Antoine Ghanem, the Syrian daily Al-Watan reported, based on foreign sources, that there was a chance that the March 14 Forces, which form the majority in the Lebanese parliament, will not constitute a majority at the session in which the new president of Lebanon is to be chosen.

According to one scenario, there could be assassinations of MPs from the March 14 Forces, thus reducing their numerical advantage.
