Honor Killing of wife and 3 kids “totally justified”

The despicable face of fundamental Islam. What are these Imam’s teaching their people? Do they have ANY idea what they are putting in these people’s heads?

This man murdered his wife and 3 children in what he called a “totally justified” honor killing.

A man who murdered his wife and three children in a so-called honour killing feels “totally justified in what he did”, police involved in the case say.

Rahan Arshad, 36, beat his family to death with a bat at their home in Turves Drive, Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester, in July 2006.arshad_honor_killing.jpg

He then fled, leaving their bodies to lie undiscovered for almost a month.

Det Supt Martin Bottomley said Arshad felt his wife brought the killing on herself by having an affair.

The full story behind the murders is the focus of a BBC documentary, Honour Kills, to be shown on BBC Three on Tuesday.

And this from the Koran regarding women: (4:34)

Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them. Then if they obey you, take no further action against them. Surely God is high, supreme.

and this reported from the BBC regarding the brutality and justification of the honor killings

“This is one of the most brutal and devastating murders I have ever dealt with.

“All of the officers who worked on this, including myself, have been affected by the depravity of this crime.

“Many of us have children, which makes the brutality he used to kill his own children even harder to comprehend.

What is even more horrifying is that we now know Arshad feels totally justified in what he did and believed that Uzma brought this on herself and her family through the shame of her affair.”

A pity the UK did away with the "uncivilised" death penalty. I can think of no other form of punishment (death by the same means as he killed his family) that would be appropriate for this sub-human.

Unfortunately, Mr. Arshad's attitudes and beliefs are typical of "honor" killers.

I don't know what kind of Qur'an you've got that from, but in the REAL one that I read, it says, 'Allah did not make the woman from the foot of a man to be below him, nor did he make her from the head to be above him. But he made her from the rib to be his equal'. Ask any abiding Muslim who doesn't think backwards and they will tell you the same.
  • lol, too bad so many of your "brothers in Islam" disagree with you. Maybe you can lead the charge to reform Islam cause no one else will.

I'm not going to lie to you, there are plenty of so-called Muslim men who are like that, however, like i said, a muslim man who is well educated and does right by Islam is not like that. I'm 21, engaged to a man that I love of my own choice and hey, my dad, uncles, cousins and so on have not killed me or my mother. Maybe it is now a good time to point out that I am Muslim but also half white from my mother's side. As for "brother's of Islam", they hold no position in my faith as far as I'm concerned. What I would ask you to understand is that there are good and bad people in all walks of life, in all religions and in all cultures. People interperate religion the way they want to. Unfortunately, I cannot control the minds of others. It's not Islam that is the problem, but the individuals that give us a bad name.
  • you're right the problem is not Islam...the problem is that Islamic moderates are too afraid to reform their own religion. You seem to be one of them. I challenge you to quit worrying about us Infidels and worry more about reforming the evil of fundamental Islam that is fermenting and spawning all throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Only YOU can prevent radical fundamental Islam. You are the ones that need to reform it, not the infidels. Quit attacking infidel critics and start rooting out the evil ones at your local mosque. That would be a good start.

There aren't any in the mosques I attend. The ones that were there aren't allowed to worship there anymore because of their beliefs. You're asking me to reform a religion that is spread across the world. You try doing what you believe i should be with Americans or a sect of your community and see how difficult it is. I only stubbled across this website because I was doing research on honour killings. I saw this article and saw a statement that was untrue so I wanted to put it right. I didn't write on here to critisize anyone. I just wanted to correct the statement so that maybe people would think twice about what they thought before about Islam. People do the most stupidest things in the name of religion. It's not just Muslims. Hitler is a great example. My mother is a Christian and she told me about when she went to church as a child. Years later, the scandel broke out that the vicar was sexually abusing the young boys that attended that church. I wish I could right the wrongs that go on in my religion and make people think like me. I wish I could stop things like this happening in the whole world. But I can't. I am one tiny person. And I'm sure you'd love to stop everything that you think is wrong, but you're one tiny person too.
