Why is it that when you try to have a honest, intellectual, analytical discussion with a liberal, they throw stuff…

• They throw one-liners
• They throw personal insults
• They throw emotional opinion around like it’s factual
• They throw the “I’m offended” card at you
• They throw apples into the conversation when your talking about oranges
• They throw away tasteful discussion and supplant distasteful rhetoric

I just finished somewhat of a discussion with a liberal friend online and it was near impossible for them to be honest when confronted with factual information. I was blasted with “Breathe, John” or “You like to hear yourself speak, don’t you”. Comments that completely dillute the substance of the conversation easily diverting the conversation from actually discussing the issues. This is what’s wrong with the left. When they feel insulted, or defeated, they backtrack into a world of personal insults and sarcasm as their defense mechanism. It’s really sad.
