As you all know, energy independence is one of the primary issues of our time. We are currently handcuffed by dictators all over the world who decide the fate of the oil industry alone. They have enormous control over our economy and at any moment they can create disaster for our economy should it come to restricting supply on exports. It affects foreign policy, it affects the way we do business with our enemies, it affects EVERYTHING.
Let’s face it, we NEED oil. We are an oil driven economy. The answer is not Ethanol or Hydrogen. The answer is this:
- We have VASTS amounts of oil reserves.
- We have untapped oil in Anwar.
- We have untapped oil in the gulf.
- PEAK OIL IS A LIE. It’s a lie to put a stranglehold on our economy and foreign policy. We are handcuffed by environmentalists.
We haven’t built an Oil refinery since 1976. That’s 30 years! This issue has nothing to do with a shortage of oil. THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF OIL. It has everything to do with our shortsighted leadership. We NEED more refineries. We need more of our own oil that we ALREADY HAVE.
Hell, there’s probably more oil that we don’t even know about. Why is it that we are allowing world dictators to control our most important economic asset? What is with this suicidal tendency in refusing to drill and refine more of our own oil? What are we saving it for? The abundance of the amount of oil is really unknown. It could be more than we ever imagined.
I say this: SCREW Environmentalists. Declare a national state of emergency. Call for a Manhatten-like Oil drilling/refining project and release us from the dependence on foreign oil. Drill Anwar, Drill the Gulf, start producing refineries on a MASS scale. Do it NOW and deal with the lawsuits later. That’s what we need in a political leader. One with the clarity and common sense to do what’s in the best interest for the United States of America.
This is a national emergency. We CANNOT sustain $100/barrel oil. We cannot sustain $5/gallon for gas. We CANNOT.
Start drilling NOW. Start building refineries NOW. Ignore the environmentalist wackos. Let them sue, let them whine, let them complain. We MUST get rid of this dependence on foreign oil and foreign influence from evil dictators.
Drill now, ask question later. Our economic prosperity depends on it.
