Gun Free Zones

There was a poll recently at the college I attend. Over 75% of the students said they wanted on-campus police officers to carry a gun. When presented with the poll results, the College Board of Regents had no reaction. The college is what they call an “open campus”, meaning anyone can walk on or off as they please. We have a quad, which is where students go to have food and just hang out outside. It is located right next to the main road. There are thousand of students hanging out at any given moment, and if some psycho was to just walk on campus with a gun, he would have a field day, and no one could do anything about it. The police officer’s duty in that situation is to simply stay back and call it in. What in the world is the point?

You’re right, there is no point. Those students are prime target for any terrorist who wants to commit an atrocity. I feel so helpless and sad when I think about the millions of people who are being targeted in “safe-zones” around the country.

What can be done? The idiots throughout the world who fear guns are driving us into the ground with their politics.

Remember that the Jews in 1934 voted for the government to ban all guns. Every citizen was defenseless when the Nazi’s came to take them away. This is the same road we are going down by taking guns away from good people.
