Fred Thompson has officially ended his run for the Presidency.

From his website Fred File:

Today I have withdrawn my candidacy for President of the United States. I hope that my country and my party have benefited from our having made this effort. Jeri and I will always be grateful for the encouragement and friendship of so many wonderful people.

It’s sad in a way.  I know so many bloggers were rooting for Fred.  It’s not like he didn’t give it the effort.  The problem was more with his disorganized campaign.  His advisers were crap, IMO.

Fred, we’ll miss blogging about you, that’s for sure.

Now it’s time to focus on the prize and here, at IAC, we are officially shifting our focus to the next best POTUS, Mitt Romney.
