The Geert Wilders Fitna Movie has finally been released. It’s being hosted on Liveleak for now. Google and Youtube are also carrying it…for now.

*UPDATE* Liveleak Caves! …removed the video from their website after death threats to their staff members. Here is their statement:

Excellent!!
There is nothing like a load of ignorance and bigotry to turn an ignominious film into a hit…especially when it is made and released in a hotbed of growing hate towards Islam!
Bravo! Hitler and Habyarimana would be proud!

The help add credence to the show, Robert Spencer is out there as a commentator, adding more falsehoods to the mix (The prophet Mohammed slit the throats of 800 Beni Quresh Jews! If he can do this, can you understand how many people the ordinary Muslim is ready to kill?).
Robert Spencer knows how to talk glibly, but knowledge of Islam is not even his weak point, let alone his strong one.
I am aware he has written three books on Islam…at least that is what he would like people to believe; The fact is that any fool can churn out reams of bigotry steeped in ignorance, but that does not an expert make. I have actually read one of his works of fantasy that Spencer would like to describe as a book on Islam, but I doubt if any Muslim (let alone a Muslim scholar) would consider it to be describing Islam.

I wish I were in the Netherlands because I would challenge Geert Wilders to a media-covered discussion of the points of his film…and he would be shown up as the ignorant bigot that he is. Heck, almost any reasonable Muslim can demolish his arguments, it really does not need a scholar to discuss at Wilders’ level!
Any of you promoters willing to make it happen by buying me a ticket to the Netherlands?

If you take anything out of context you can make it look to be whatever you wish. Let’s examine how terrible a religion Christianity is - how vengeful. How Jesus preached hate. How Jesus preached vengeance… WHEN you take it out of context. Don’t read only the hateful books that discuss Islam, read books that show it to be a positive religion - an ex-nun Karen Armstrong is one such source.

Religions start out with good intentions, it is what successive generations of followers do with those intentions that matters… what Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and others do today matters for if we don’t learn it peacefully we may have the terrible outcome President Hitler, I mean Bush, has predicted.

You very clearly spoken to yourself, answered yourself and thanked yourself for speaking so intelligently and proving your own points so articulately.
Remember to pat yourself on the back; people need encouragement to continue in their work.

Your posed questions, for which you don’t appear open enough to consider responses, prove that you have no idea of what is in the Quran and it is likely that you are simply re-quoting other bigots.
They show no serious knowledge of world events, which tells me you probably only read stuff to “prove” your own self.

In fact, they tell me your mind is sealed shut as far as Islam or Muslims are concerned.

With such a limited mind-set, I am not at all surprised that you would swallow Spencer’s fantasies as readily as you appear to do.
To know where Spencer is wrong, you need at least a basic knowledge or Islam and the Quran. If you are unwilling to verify your theories, then you will always be guaranteed a supply of enemies because YOU are always going to BE the enemy; facts only seem to impede your passion.

As for telling you where “Wilders is wrong”, I have heard enough in the trailer to know he has insufficient knowledge of Islam to even form a valid opinion, let alone to make the self-promoting film that he did.

I guess it should not surprise me that the people with the tightest of sealed minds against Islam and Muslims, should rail so long and hard at the lack of “Freedom” in dictatorships ruled by Muslims.

I wish you an open heart and an open mind and if you are Christian, I wish you the love Jesus spent his life teaching.

jeff is another fine apologist. instead of answering any question put to him, he just puts down those who would differ with him. for being able to tell so well who or who does not possess even the slightest knowledge of islam, jeff should be an imam.

As a rule, I do not engage in these rather pointless debates because the other parties do not identify themselves and usually show a singularly closed and ignorant mind.
STEVEK, the reason I did not answer your questions is that it was obvious you had a lot of hate and VERY little (if any) knowledge of Islam; if you had ANY knowledge of Islam, other than from trash that is put out by other bigots, you would not have put forth those ignorant challenges.
Besides, while I can demolish every one of your great ‘points’, it is an exercise in futility to argue with a closed (AND ignorant) mind.
It would further discussion (not necessarily agreement) if you read the Quran and THEN throw challenges. If you did read the Quran, I am betting you would not have a leg to stand on when you argue about the “evils” of Islam.

I was raised Catholic, have plenty of Muslim friends as well as some Jewish. While the friends I know are Americanised m\Muslims, they tell me (as well as I see) that there are factions of Islam that do preach hate (towards non converts) and world domination by forcing Islam on the world, (they want to take over Europe and North Africa like they had in the past ( Ottoman Caliphate and the Spanish Portuguese Caliphates). Yes Christians did the same, as well as other non religious groups (Roman Empire, British Empire, Spanish Empire) but that is all behind us now and Islam is growing and doing this now. Most moderate Muslims do not openly decry these more radical Islamists. I did not see very many Muslims denouncing the 9/11 attacks or Osama Bin Laden’s hatred towards the west, although a lot of these same ‘moderate’ Muslims live in the west. I think we are growing too “Politically Correct” and are becoming scared to see and or say things as they are. I am all for all religions and atheists alike, as long as they respect other peoples, creeds, colors, ethnicities and sexual preferences.

Iam European & iam afraid.
Once i lived in quarter where many Islamic people live.
I had to move uptown with my family because some reasons.
My kids where treaten cause we are Christian & from Islam beleve outcasted by the fact only Muslim is right and the others wil die by the hand of Allahs arm.
Iit was not posible to start debate cause all discussions only point to the direction that means we have to read the Koran and learn Arabic.
When i start an discussion with my knowlege about the Koran, i always get the answer to read it so often until i respect the fact, that al others beside the Islam is waste outcasted and final destination to die.

Shure it could be fine to talk with people who realy debate, but i can not. All real discussions wil be done in Arabic to exclude us (The outcasted).

Maybe it would be different if those who try to take position for the Koran give clear statements. I know they can not cause the Brainwash while visit the Koran school.

In my child time i visited differend Koran schools cause of my open mind and interest what those telling about when kick my balls after school cause iam a christian.
It was shocking the girls hat to stay outside to keep them in the role of slavenis of the boys.
Boys never realy learn to think independent cause they get hitten by the teacher and at home from good daddy who have to take care that his son grow up to a good solder of Mohamed. I personal saw friends laying on the ground flowing blood from the wounds the Imam, teacher or daddy did to them cause they where tired from reading and take a short breef to collect theyr mind for further studies. The answers always where “He has to learn for Allah if he not does he wil be an outcasted later like you!”. You Christian shit wil not understand that. Convert to Islam and we wil tell you. Yes, i do. But the current good division of power into legislative, Judical, and executive branches are only a modern invention that can, and will be improved in the future. I do not believe that they are the only possible way to run the country in a way that provides Fairness, and justice in a certain country. I am sure that the human mind will keep on improving the country structure to suit his evolving needs, and society.

I do not believe in this in the western way. You chose to take that way possibly because of the hisoty of church oppression, and dictatorship in the past. Religion is an integral part of the life of people. It cannot be really separated. You cannot force a jew to eat pork, and you cannot force a devoute christian to have divorce. Same thing for Islam. Having mixed society in a certain country can easily have solutions to its problems other than having to separate them from their religions.

Yes, Islam supports Liberty. It is very strange that you say “OUR God”. Actually we believe that there is only ONE God. And that that one God is the same as Jewish God, and Christian God. THE ONE GOD.

I applaud Mr. Wilders, he’s standing up for the freedom of speech.

Personally, I don’t have a problem with ordinary Muslims. My beef is with Islam and the violence it teaches along with its open ended commands. It’s not the average ordinary every day Muslim out there waging Jihad on the west….or is it? When Muslims stop preaching hate, stop remaining indifferent to the violence Islam teaches, and the killing in the name of “Big Mo”…..until then, Islam will never be a religion of peace…and I’ll not respect it.

Thus far, I’ve yet to see anyone scripturally refute what Infidelesto posted . And while at it, if one so desires to undertake this task, please explain “al-Taqiyya” and the concept of “al-Nasikh wal-Mansoukh”, it will help with the understanding of Islam.

I would say it is very dangerous to judge Islam by different terms that comes out of context and generalise it to all religion. The questions of Infidelesto are very detailed to answer, and would take a lot of space to do that in details. However, i would like to point to something very important. There are 1 Billion moslems in the world. The vast majority of them are peacful people with no hate to others. There are some others who are full of hatred and violence. I cannot imagine that only the minority would be right, and the majority wrong in interpreting the Islamic teachings. I agree that some aspects in Islam might look strange, but again if explained in their context right understanding would be reached.

Of course i know we have a problem. No sane person can claim otherwise. We have been suffering from it in our own countries since the late 1980s. But we are trying to say all the time, is that the problem is not coming out of Islam. It is the result of recent political history, and huge economical, and social problems. I can tell you that the main wave of terrorism is coming from former warriors in Afghanistan (in the 1970s). Those warriors were brain washed with mistaken islamic concepts that really suited the purposes of the USA to fight against communist Soviet Union, and stop its spread in mid Asia. When the war was over, those warriors found nothing to fight so they turn around to fight their own countries first, then the west later.

And come on. even if 91 millions is the correct number. Do you think less than 10% is good represntation of the whole population??

My main aim here is not to deny the problem, but to tell you that Islam is not its source. Islam has been used as a tool here to attract ignorant people (which are in plenty supply due to lack of good education, and due to poverty) to such groups.

I can tell you that also hundreds of Islamic scholars are trying hard to correct the wrong concepts in people’s minds, but this will take time, it will not happen overnight.

I would like also to mention that i am not denying Jihad is in Islam. But Jihad is the term used which exactly means the purpose of any legitimate army in any modern country; to defend the country against attack. The only difference is that Islam considers all moslems to belong to the same group. So in modern terms it means that countries should engage in a common defense alliances.

I saw your discussion.
I have no problems with the religion of diferent streamings, but the way the extreme moslims react are not right!
In the Netherlands they can build their moske’s and have there own believing.
But when christians want to build a church in their country ….you have a big problem.
The most big problem is (i think) the tollerance of these extreme moslims.
I know some moslims and have some friends among them, but they can accept the way i think and my religion.
Geert wilders is for many dutch people the hero to say that the tollerance should be equal for all religions.
I hope that the most of these extreme moslims once can understand that this is not the right way to live with other people on one planet.
All the wars ever been are a result of difference in religion.

Look, the current problem is so complex, and it came up because moselms have been so weak for a few centuries, and many problems have accumulated in the social, economic, cultural, and even religious fronts. New issues came out with no good scholars to tacle them in the correct way. So some people reverted to old scholars scriptures seeking a solution not valid to the modern world.

Ibn Taymeya decalred Jihad againts Mogols because they invaded moslem countries, and actually did a lot of masacres in the countries they took. It was a self defense against attack. Please check the whole situation before judging.

All what is happening in Moslem countries regarding the intolerance or discrimination against other religions is coming from ill fanatisism, and not from Islamic teachings or spirit. It happened through out hisotry that other religions followers florished under moslem rulings.

Doesn’t the example of the prophet muhammad, and his actions, define Jihad / terrorism? I suppose the most important collection of hadith should be disregarded?

Doesn’t Sahih al-Bukhari contain over 199 references to Jihad with all of them referring to armed warfare against non-muslims? In premodern times Jihad only meant one thing, an effort to expand the territories of muslims at the expense of non-muslims. dar al-Islam vs. dar al-harb. Are not muslims encouraged to follow the example of the prophet?

What would have changed since then?

Of the 78 battles in which muhammad himself was engaged, only one was defensive (the battle of the ditch). To me, that sorta blows the “inner struggle” concept of Jihad all to hell. Those unwilling to recognize it for what it is, IMHO have either fallen to, or are deceived by those practicing al-Taqiyya.

Hossam is downplaying the brutal mistreatmant or worse of many Christians in Muslim countries and blaming such on ‘ill fanaticism’…Then, who is in control? Isn’t it a well known fact that in a Muslim society Church and State are one? Turkey and Egypt are trying to be impartial (: in order to appease the international community. Shari law in a muslin country will be maintained under all circumstances. There is no doubt that the major goal is indeed the expansion of muslim territory and has been through the ages. Soon after Muhammed’s death, Islam conquered much of the Middle East and swept through northern Africa, crossed the strait of Gibralter , conquered Spain- over the Pyrenees into France….where they were finally defeated by Charles ‘the Hammer’ Mantel in 732 at Poitiers…
Later in the 1500’s they came from another direction, conquering eastern Europe, central Europe, the Balkans- even into Germany and Austria advancing as far as Vienna, where they were beaten back twice- last time in 1683.
Is it a small wonder that the church in Rome wanted to proclaim a crusade to put “the Holy Land” in Christian hands? Ironically, today’s crusaders are the Muslim extremists, who similarly believe that killing Americans and dying in jihad against the West will mean instant paradise. Either by the sword or massive migration. If this is not according the Quaran, then let the ‘good’ muslims speak out against it….I am listening.

Should probably also mention that I’m very much looking forward to the movie - I don’t agree with Geert Wilders on very much, but I applaud his courage and conviction. It is greater than that of the entire rest of the parliament combined.

I am very sorry, but i can say that you do not know anything about the internal affairs of Moslem countries. Governments are in control yes, but those governments are very far from Islamic teachings. They are more more dictators than being even close to the least islamic governments. They say they rule in the name of Islam, but they are not.

Prophet Mohamed wars should be stricly seen in their context. In the 7th century war was the means of any strong community which wanted to expand their control over other parts of land. The reason have varried a lot. Roman, and Persian empires wanted more money, and influence. Moslems wanted to get their relgion known to other people. But please check the difference between the expansion of the Roman empire, and the expansion of Moselms. Roman empire persecuted and enslaved all other countries. They persecuted Christians when they were pagan, and then persecuted Orthodox, when they became Catholic. Can you ever say Chritianity encouraged persecution because of this, of course not. Islam on the other hand did not force the people of the conquered land to become Moselms. Yes, there was the Jezya tax. But didn’t any empire impose taxes??? non-moslems were not asked to defend their land when under moselm ruling. So some sort of taxes had to be in place. Jezya has no place now in the modern world.

There is a BIG difference between 7th century solutions to 7th century problems, and Islamic guidelines, and teachings. Yes, we are encouraged to follow Porphet Mohamed example. But some aspects cannot be done literally. We have to understand the aim, and follow them, not necessarliy stick to the means to them.

About Taqeya… Taqeya is only adopted by extreme sects of moslems. But i can tell you it is absolutely not encouraged by true Islam. Islam is against deception, and lies. A moslem is only permitted to lie to the enemy when in a state of war. And Moselms are not always in a state of war against non-moslems as said by many. A Moselm is at war with non-moselms only when attacked. And war does not mean terrorism to innocent people. War has strict rules and guidelines in Islam.

Please note that our own citizens are suffering from the terrorism you are speaking about. And they are moslems alright. So do not tell me if it happeneing only against non-moselms.

Finally, good moselms, and good moselm scholars are always speaking against terrorism. It is just that you are really not listening.

It seems you are only addressing the problem of terrorism but there is a difference between terrorism and persecution, which is taking place against Christians, not only in Muslim, but also in Communistic countries like China and North Korea. As for the movie itself: it is very revealing and informative of the radical factions of Islam. However, the reactions and counter-reactions to videos like this will sound across the globe. There was rioting in the streets of the middle east when a story leaked out for Guantanamo Bay about “interrogators” damaging a copy of the Koran, but it’s okay for the Iranians to victimise, torture, murder and otherwise denigrate another religion, Baha’i’s, because it sees them as Apostates?
The whole world needs to take a stand against RADICAL ISLAM immediately, and not give up ANY freedoms to those who would see us under Sharia law or dead. I for one will die to defend everyones choice of religion, Islam included, without fear of being persecuted because of that Faith, or having to hide that Faith. I just saw this trailer and I couldn’t see anything false on it. I have written a book that has been published, unfortunately only in Finnish language. The name of the book is Islamistinen terrorismi ja sen vastainen sota, if translated ‘Islamic Terrorism and Defence against it’. Actually it is a research work.

The only thing that is not mentioned on the trailer is that most, probably even 1 billion of the whole muslem population are hard working and peace loving people. But then there are those, approx 3 million hotheads that cause the probleam all over the world.

It is now 40 minutes after midnight and I have heard NO reference on the BBC to this video or its downing by the threatening press. As for the video - I have no truck with racism or anti-religious attitudes BUT the video is a compilation of actual happenings, linked to excerpts from the Khoran. Fair enough. Violence for Jews and Christians (I am a Christian) is only acceptable today in defense of life, i.e.: self-defense; or in defense of liberty, i.e.: just war against terror or tyranny.

As for Islam ruling America through some slight of hand - using our liberty as a means of establishing tyranny in the United States, I don’t think it will happen. Get out your copy of the Declaration of Independence and read the second paragraph: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

We the American people have the God-given right to alter or abolish any American government which does not secure our God-given rights to life, liberty (it says liberty!), and our pursuit of happiness. We are authorized by God - so says the Declaration of Independence - to wage war against such an Islamic government, or any other tyrannical government in the United States.

First of all Arif;
It was never customary for any one to consumate (I hope you meant consumate anyway) a marriage at age 9, 15 or 16 years of age maybe down as low as 13, but at least AFTER they had started menstrating. But hey, you believe in a paedophiles vision of right and wrong, it’s your choice.

And as for you Ishtiaq, Saddam didn’t just kill people in hundreds, he invaded Iran, an Islamic country, he invaded Kuwait, an Islamic country, the true number of his own ISLAMIC countrymen he murdered out of hand. The Kurds in the north, The marsh arabs in the south, launcing rockets at Israel. Saddam was a mass murderer that killed PROBABLY OVER A MILLION PEOPLE, THE VAST MAJORITY MUSLIMS!

That’s right, MUSLIMS! As I have said in another post, Sunni’s killing Shia’s, Shia’s killing Sunni’s, Suicide bombers killing dozens of innocent MUSLIM civilians to get at one soldier or police officer. And most of the “insugents”, A.K.A. terrorists are not even from Iraq. Exactly how is killing your fellow muslims good for business?
Believe me, if that’s what you mean by Muslim solidarity and brotherhood, keep it. That kind of dysfunctional family dynamic, I don’t need.

The main argument made by Muslims here is that Islam is a religion of peace that is being misunderstood. I’m sorry to say this but it’s time for your religion of peace to do some house cleaning, just like Christianity did in it’s reformation. You can’t just stand by and watch or people are just going to assume the worst about all Muslims. So stop defending Islam as a religion of peace to others and begin to defend it against those who are ‘perverting’ it, if thats what they truly are doing.
If you make it the responsibility of the West to do this, it will be a lot harsher and you’ll get caught in the crossfire.

There is no such thing as a religion of peace. One may strive for peace as an act of faith, but faith and religion are not at all synonymous. Religions are constructed, maintained, and administered by men, and the history of mankind is a litany of struggles for power and wealth.

Ancient man rounded up members of other tribes for mass sacrifices to their gods of thunder, pagans slaughtered each other to bring bountiful harvests, medieval Christians fought one another (and slaughtered pagans) over the date of Easter and to resolve disputes far outweighed by the things these people had in common, and now a significant number of Moslems are struggling to wage a war to shove the Koran down everyone else’s throat. This is not a characteristic of Islam… it is a characteristic of religion.

In every instance of religious warfare, from the Aztecs through the Israelites all the way down to the jihadists running amok today, the religious element is window dressing on a campaign of conquest and subjugation intended to advance the worldly position of a small group of humans, each not much different that any one of us, who seek to expand their wealth and influence.

Religious tolerance is our greatest impediment in the West to understanding the threat that “radical Islam” poses – we fear to be charged with religious persecution, so we indulge unconscionable acts so long as they are motivated by religion. Until we tear away the veil of legitimacy that shrouds the instigators of these “holy” wars, and come to regard them as the megalomaniacal brigands and thieves that they are, we bind our own hands and leave ourselves vulnerable.

Dealing with these people in the context of their real-world actions and their consequences, rather than examining their ideologies and criticizing their interpretation of religious texts, needs to be done immediately if we are to humanely forestall a horrendous slaughter… because if the West ever truly feels threatened, if Europe and America ever come to believe that their power and wealth might slip away, then they will rain fire and destruction upon the Islamic heartland that will seem truly biblical.

Let me tell you the truth about islam, and even muslims agree because they know the truth. This is a fact. First, Islam was not started by muhammad! He was just 17 years old when Islam began. Islam was founded in the early part 700’s, almost 650 years after Christ, by a Christian priest! Yes! A Christian priest! At the time, many “churches” were popping up for political power and monetary reasons! One great example is The Roman Church. The start of the Holy Roman Empire meant political power and money to come. So this Christian priest, used muhammad to start his new religion. muhammad , at the time, was a street criminal. He was what we would compare a pick pocket to, or a purse snatcher! This priest took him in and laid out the plan. The priest would go down a well and throw his voice and proclaim muhammad the only true prophet of God. People would think it was God’s voice and then the priest and muhammad would reap the new financial benefits of their knew religion. But muhammad was sneaky and had other ideas. After “God” proclaimed him the true prophet from the well, muhammad told the people to throw stones into the well as a form of sacrifice. This was smart because the priest was killed and no evidence of the sham religion remained! This is where they got the kaba stone from. After that, the 17 year old married a 56 year old woman who was wealthy wido. She had a lust for the young muhammad. As it states in the koran, muhammad was caught by his best friend while in the act of raping his friends daughter! His friend was about to kill him with a sword but some how, muhammad convinced him that God chose him to be muhammad’s right hand man and that God wanted his daughter to be willed to muhammad! muhammad also raped his own daughter, and while he slept, she cut half of his moustache off. In that time, this marked a man as a rapist, so muhammad shaved his face completely so know one would know his crime. But a man with out facial hair was deemed a homosexual. So he had to “hide”. This is explained in the koran as him going into the desert for 40 days to pray. muhammad also was an embezzler! He was chased by people he scammed. He fled to Mecca to hide. This is where they came up with their Haj. The journey to Mecca!!!! muhammad was also a known homosexual and pedophile. He had harems of women, yes! But also harems of young boys as well. All middle-eastern Christians know this and all Arabs do as well. The western world never hears these things. When a muslim dies and goes to his paradise, as it says in the koran, his 72 virgins are not women, but untouched teenage boys! This is a fact! All Muslims will attest to this! You see, there is much that people in this country don’t know about Islam! And when muslims here in the U.S say they are Americans and not in support of terrorism, they are lying! If we’re really genuinely seeking the truth, we then surely need sincerity and real, true, hearty intentions. Who really turns to their Lord in humility whilst acknowledging his/her complete poverty and utter dependance on Him and asks from the bottom of their heart for Him to guide them? It’s a journey and it starts with our ownselves and our own sincerity. As humans, we have to surely put aside our prejudices and have a spirit of real reflection and real willingness to be open-hearted and fair. There’s the old famous English saying ‘A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing’. Absolutely anything can be taken out of context by anyone of any religion or none. But, if we truly want to understand, it requires a level of honesty and maturity and sincerity. If we want things to be how we think they are, or are not really interested in the truth, then why waste precious time? For anyone who is interested and genuinely wants to know a little about Islam, an author that can be recommended as a starting point is Gai Eaton who has written a number of books: ‘Remembering God- Reflections on Islam’ , ‘King of the Castle- Choice and Responsibility in the Modern World’ , and ‘Islam- The Destiny of Man’. Why are most of the Muslims fundamentalists and terrorists???

Answer:

This question is often hurled at Muslims, either directly or indirectly, during any discussion on religion or world affairs. Muslim stereotypes are perpetuated in every form of the media accompanied by gross misinformation about Islam and Muslims. In fact, such misinformation and false propaganda often leads to discrimination and acts of violence against Muslims. A case in point is the anti-Muslim campaign in the American media following the Oklahoma bomb blast, where the press was quick to declare a ‘Middle Eastern conspiracy’ behind the attack. The culprit was later identified as a soldier from the American Armed Forces.

Let us analyze this allegation of ‘fundamentalism’ and ‘terrorism’:

1. Definition of the word ‘fundamentalist’

A fundamentalist is a person who follows and adheres to the fundamentals of the doctrine or theory he is following. For a person to be a good doctor, he should know, follow, and practise the fundamentals of medicine. In other words, he should be a fundamentalist in the field of medicine. For a person to be a good mathematician, he should know, follow and practise the fundamentals of mathematics. He should be a fundamentalist in the field of mathematics. For a person to be a good scientist, he should know, follow and practise the fundamentals of science. He should be a fundamentalist in the field of science.

2. Not all ‘fundamentalists’ are the same

One cannot paint all fundamentalists with the same brush. One cannot categorize all fundamentalists as either good or bad. Such a categorization of any fund amentalist will depend upon the field or activity in which he is a fundamentalist. A fundamentalist robber or thief causes harm to society and is therefore undesirable. A fundamentalist doctor, on the other hand, benefits society and earns much respect.

3. I am proud to be a Muslim fundamentalist

I am a fundamentalist Muslim who, by the grace of Allah, knows, follows and strives to practise the fundamentals of Islam. A true Muslim does not shy away from being a fundamentalist. I am proud to be a fundamentalist Muslim because, I know that the fundamentals of Islam are beneficial to humanity and the whole world. There is not a single fundamental of Islam that causes harm or is against the interests of the human race as a whole. Many people harbour misconceptions about Islam and consider several teachings of Islam to be unfair or improper. This is due to insufficient and incorrect knowledge of Islam. If one critically analyzes the teachings of Islam with an open mind, one cannot escape the fact that Islam is full of benefits both at the individual and collective levels.

4. Dictionary meaning of the word ‘fundamentalist’

According to Webster’s dictionary ‘fundamentalism’ was a movement in American Protestanism that arose in the earlier part of the 20th century. It was a reaction to modernism, and stressed the infallibility of the Bible, not only in matters of faith and morals but also as a literal historical record. It stressed on belief in the Bible as the literal word of God. Thus fundamentalism was a word initially used for a group of Christians who believed that the Bible was the verbatim word of God without any errors and mistakes.

According to the Oxford dictionary ‘fundamentalism’ means ‘strict maintenance of ancient or fundamental doctrines of any religion, especially Islam’.

Today the moment a person uses the word fundamentalist he thinks of a Muslim who is a terrorist.

5. Every Muslim should be a terrorist

Every Muslim should be a terrorist. A terrorist is a person who causes terror. The moment a robber sees a policeman he is terrified. A policeman is a terrorist for the robber. Similarly every Muslim should be a terrorist for the antisocial elements of society, such as thieves, dacoits and rapists. Whenever such an anti-social element sees a Muslim, he should be terrified. It is true that the word ‘terrorist’ is generally used for a person who causes terror among the common people. But a true Muslim should only be a terrorist to selective people i.e. anti-social elements, and not to the common innocent people. In fact a Muslim should be a source of peace for innocent people.

6. Different labels given to the same individual for the same action, i.e. ‘terrorist’ and ‘patriot’

Before India achieved independence from British rule, some freedom fighters of India who did not subscribe to non-violence were labeled as terrorists by the British government. The same individuals have been lauded by Indians for the same activities and hailed as ‘patriots’. Thus two different labels have been given to the same people for the same set of actions. One is calling him a terrorist while the other is calling him a patriot. Those who believed that Britain had a right to rule over India called these people terrorists, while those who were of the view that Britain had no right to rule India called them patriots and freedom fighters.

It is therefore important that before a person is judged, he is given a fair hearing. Both sides of the argument should be heard, the situation should be analyzed, and the reason and the intention of the person should be taken into account, and then the person can be judged accordingly.

7. Islam means peace

Islam is derived from the word ‘salaam’ which means peace. It is a religion of peace whose fundamentals teach its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world.

Thus every Muslim should be a fundamentalist i.e. he should follow the fundamentals of the Religion of Peace: Islam. He should be a terrorist only towards the antisocial elements in order to promote peace and justice in the society.

We also learn plenty from muslims who kill their daughters for chatting on facebook, or not wearing a headdress, or being too westernized. We learn even more when we see and hear imams preaching hate, intolerance, and violence to their brainwashed muslim followers. How do you suppose all that is taken out of context? 1. Your fundamentalist Muslim religion does not violate the founding principles and laws of the United States if it is just peaceful worship of God and performing charitable works - that would be fine.

2. Your fundamentalist Muslim religion is contaminated by sharia law which is totalitarian and the enemy of American liberty - it violates our Declaration of Independence because it does not lead or govern with the consent of the governed. Sharia law can be interpreted by your religions judges in any way they see fit in order to advance your Muslim religion and its unjust political system of coercion and control of the masses - similarly to Nazi or Communist law.

3. Sharia law is the enemy of American because it suppresses liberty - which in this country has been declared to be from God Himself. Your sharia law destroys freedom of speech without which there is no liberty. Under your Islamic legal system no one can speak publically against your religion, your god or your profit - that would result in imprisonment, torture or death. No freedom of speech - no liberty.

4. Sharia law is unjust and evil as it sanctions lies, coercion and violence against non-Muslims as a means of spreading the Islamic religion.

5. Sharia law represents official and legalized bigotry against all non-Muslims including Christians and Jews. We would have to pay a special tax to your Islamic government for the purpose of enriching Muslims at our expense, and it would also serve for you the useful purpose of intimidating and humiliating all non-Muslims. Christian churches are forbidden to perform repairs or expansions, and no new Christian churches may be built.

6. Sharia law sanctions the murder of any Muslim who leaves the Islamic religion. Murder is evil, therefore sharia law is evil.

7. Sharia law does not allow for full legal or political equal
