Do you like this story?

It’s getting bad, over 150 Qassam rockets in 3 days now, and Olmert is fed up, vowing to “wage war” if the rockets don’t stop. Israel is doing whatever they can to fight back while averting all out massacre to defend their people.

GAZA (Reuters) – Israeli air strikes killed at least seven Palestinians, including a mother and child, in the Gaza Strip on Thursday as Prime Minister Ehud Olmert vowed to wage a “war” to stop rocket attacks on the Jewish state.

The escalation in violence prompted Palestinian leaders to warn that renewed peace talks — spurred by last week’s visit by U.S. President George W. Bush — were at stake.

“A war is going on in the south, every day, every night,” Olmert said in a speech in Tel Aviv. “We cannot and will not tolerate this unceasing fire at Israeli citizens … so we will continue to operate.”

“This war will not stop,” the prime minister said, predicting Israeli military pressure would “tip the scales” and force a halt to rocket fire.

Olmert, saying Israel sought to avoid harming Palestinian civilians, gave no indication he might order a large-scale ground operation in the Gaza Strip, an assault Israeli officials have cautioned could cause heavy casualties on both sides.

Israellycool is liveblogging the the latest on the endless amount of rockets that “just won’t stop” on southern Israel.

After the 130 Qassams that have hit Israel in the last three days, 5 have been fired so far today. We’re bracing ourselves for another Qassam-prolific day, with word that Hamas believes that Israel wants to avoid a major ground operation in Gaza, and therefore, will call a truce if the heavy rocket fire continues. This tells you everything you need to know about their mentality – the thought that perhaps what we want is to live in peace, and are willing to talk if they stop the rockets is not within their comprehension.

Check out his liveblogging post. There’s several more updates that I have not mentioned.

We can be sure to see the world condemn Israel for defending themselves, while the UN will say NOTHING about the endless amount of rockets being dropped on Israel every day
