Actually it was Egyptian police. move along, nothing to see here.

Of course, the media would have been all over this had it been true, but since it’s Egyptian and not Israel, all is well and good.  No story here…

Report: Egyptian police beat pro-Palestinian protesters

>Egyptian police used force to disperse thousands of protesters who were demonstrating in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, witnesses said.

Police beat and chased protesters through the streets of El-Mahalla el-Kubra, a city around 60 miles north of Cairo, and arrested at least 20. The protesters were mainly members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the country’s most powerful opposition group, and labour union or political activists. (Reuters)

You are 100% correct, had it been Israeli police the media would have been all butthurt over the beating of terrorist's cheerleaders. Go Egyptian Police!! They need to do an episode of "COPS" in Egypt.
