Video: Qassam rocket slams into Israeli neighborhood

Imagine if you had to live every day wondering if a random Qassam rocket would drop on your house.

Thousands of these rockets have reigned down on Israel over the last year.

Once again, Israel is seen as the agressor when they try to stop the indiscriminate rockets, while their citizens have to live every day hoping this doesn’t happen:

  • The fact that Israel lives under constant terror goes without saying. Many of my friends living in Israel talk about how a large portion of school kids find that various narcotics are their only escape from the reality of life. On that note, imagine living day by day kissing your children goodbye as they go to school not knowing if you will ever see them again. This is the reality of living in Israel.

The same can be said of Palestine. People living in Palestine live under the exact same level of fear. It isn't a great deal different. Of course, Israel uses tactical force to take out key terrorists, but don't forget that the Palestinian people do not view these targets as terrorists ... they see them as freedom fighters. The difference between Terrorists and Freedom Fighters is simply perspective. Since Palestinians do not have the ability to attack key Israeli figures, nor can they attack military, their only method of retaliation is civilians. This is, of course, hurting their cause far more than helping, but it is important to understand why they do what they do.

It is important to point out that in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, there is no side that is right in what they do. Each side feels equaly justified in their actions and there is no convincing either of them that they are wrong. It is important that we approach this conflict not from a stance of Right and Wrong, but simply as Wrong ... from both sides.

Why don't Israel build a bunch of quassam rockets and launch rocket for rocket?

Those Israelis better learn to play the media as well as the ahabs do. The video sucked. Who wants to look at videos of the floor and walls going by and listening to a lot of hollering? Why don't Israel hire some hollyweed types?
