I gotta admit, I saw the "Fitna" segs on Youtube and really got flared up! I wanted to DEMAND "open season" on any and all mooslims immediately. Those idiots really rile my blood. Dutch gov't is right up there with "suck up to and appease any asshole" france. Ain't nothin' for that way but more trouble. Europe has got to learn to stand up for themselves and not count on the US to haul their asses out of trouble that they've "appeased" themselves into. And screw the mooslims!!!!!!

Geert's movie PALED in comparison to the real threat of these 'people'! The world needs to see this often and without edit. We are WAY beyond 'a few radicals' here! This film takes a mere swipe at the reality and THIS is the response? Give me a break! The problem is that we live in a world of soft candy asses that have never been threatened personally, have never had to endure pain personally, have never had to spend one minute in fear of their lives personally. How many were saying such weak things on 9/11? None! The farther we get from that day the more we forget. Geert is simply trying to keep the spirit we all had in the days following 9/11 so we don't die thanks to our own utter stupidity!

This movie is a must see for every person that values freedom or their lives. It must be shown.

Living in Holland, boycotting Dutch products would be a tall order for me.

Fitna was too nice, too polite. Unfortunately human beings cannot take in the whole truth of Islam, just as many in 1945 could not believe the barbarity of the Nazis. The world did not believe the death camps existed until our tanks rolled through their gates. By then it was largely too late. Why are we waiting so long now? Because of our suicidal oil and business policies. We can't totally buck the middle east or lose our oil. Shameful. This all is like the early 70's again.

The entire assumption here is that there is a collective, coordinated and structured Islamic organisation that is waging some war. There is not.

Such an idea falls flat based on many factors. The first, like the idea of a Caliphate spouted by the most extreme of radicals that is not accepted in the real and actual Muslim world. The fact is that there are 57 odd Muslilm nations, not unified, not supporting the same ideas let alone some radical ideology of world war. Somehow those spouting this anti-Islam BS concepts of threat of war forgets for example that Shi'ites and Sunnis let alone differing cultures make such propoganda as simply trashy hype.

We can assume, though, that there are more sinister reasons for such trashy talk by some - tha perhaps some want war, because of extreme Christian fundamenatalist-evangalist nonesense, some because of trying to look important through looking like the warrior type or the one who "told you so". Like Wilders, they are trying to create division to profit from them. Terrorists, extremist militants, radical clerics may have, because of a thousand reasons and factors the guns and the bombs, but the poison exists on the other side, through the internet, books and politics.

The enemy is radicalism in all its guises, from OBL to Wilders and by its very nature, the solution to radicalism must come from the complete opposite - normalisation.

it seems you need a history lesson from a "leftie".
Firstly the second world war started in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland not 1938 as you say.
Secondly A highly militarised Germany invaded, the Rheinland,Czechoslovakia, then Poland, then Belgum, then holland, Finland etc.


Quite why you call members of these peacful countries imbeciles, when they were the innocent victims of a war crazed facist dictator who had amassed the greatest european army of it's day puzzles me.


Thirdly America did not bail anyone out. America watched as all these countries fell to Hitler. America watched as Britain was razed to the ground by german bombers. Country after country, city after city, fell to the Nazis while America sat on it's hands and did absolutely nothing.


The only reason America ever entered the war, was because the german allies Japan bombed pearl harbour. the second this happened HITLER DECLARED WAR ON THE USA.
If the japanese had not bombed pearl harbour, America would have continued to ignore Churchills pleas to help Britain. And would have continued to do fuck all.


The USA only became involved when it was attacked. When it's allies were attacked (ie britain and europe ) it did nothing.


Don't get me wrong, god bless America, thank god for you guys, if it wasn't for the USA I would be speaking German now.

I also agree that Chamberlain did appease the Nazis. We should have defended Czechoslovakia... our failure to do that was a shameful act of cowardace, and  something the whole world came to regret.


I am obviously not American, but would like to say i have been following your elections with great interest, I am a great fan of Obama, I honestly think he is the worlds best hope at the moment. I don't understand why people keep insisting he is a moslem, he quite clearly isn't. I'm in no way support the moslem ideology, in fact i am completely opposed to it. It scares the shit out of me. 


But i don't think the war mongering policies of mr Bush have helped anyone - least of all America. And i think the mcain/palin ticket, is a disaster waiting to happen.

Simon, a little clarification on American involvement in WWII.  The US did not want to get involved but Roosevelt was lend-leasing ships and war material to Britain.  That pissed off the Germans and scared the Japs because as Germany was sinking US shipping and getting the US pissed, the Japs thought they would cover their asses by smoking Pearl Harbor.  Once that happened, it was all over.  At first, it looked like the Japs and Germans would win it all, then US industry took off, big time.  Finally slowing town the last 10 years.

I think we basically agree on ww11. Yes the Americans (i hope it's ok to call you that) did do a lend lease... i.e lent us some really out of date ships etc and in return got access to british world wide naval bases. But my point was essentially despite the lend lease, Britain, and particularly London was flattened by German bombers, and the U.S. did nothing militarily.... fair enough up to them... But when pearl harbour was bombed the whole story changed. My point really is that the states only joined in when they were attacked (the u boat thing didn't really seem to make much difference in terms of american military involvement). When we blew the trumpet it took a very long time for the states to hear it. But having said that thank god you did... and god bless you... without you guys we would have been in a lot of trouble.


the problem with iraq in my mind is that they had nothing to do with september the 11, fantics hated saddam because he was a secularist. The intelligence i believe was manipulated to justify an invasion. the real reason being the need for america (principally) to get oil supplies.


When the arguments changed and started becomming "oh we need to get rid of dictators and spread democracy". I believe this argument to be a bogus justification of an oil grab. (one my country also took part in) If we want democracy and fair government, why not invade saudi arabia? (answer they are an ally :)  )  or Zimbabwe (no oil !) or china (we would get slaughtered) or Dafur (no oil again)
And on the point about socialism ruining the enonomy... no one could do a better job of ruining the economy than george bush,,, and i've never heard him called a socialist.


By the way Holland is pretty socialist, and doing very well at the moment, the same is true of Denmark (which appears to be unaffected by financial downturns)


Personally i don't think a bit of wealth re distribution is necesssarily a bad thing... it you increase taxes to billionaire money traders, and use it to help disabled people, for example then i think there may be something to say for it.

Geert Wilders is in a no lose situation!
If he is convicted then the backlash will result in the Dutch electorate concluding that their judiciary are as corrupt and venal as the Muslim interlopers whom Wilders opposes.
On the other hand if he is aquitted then his stance is ergo endorsed by the same.

The attempted prosecution is an enormous own goal for the faithful!
Like many people afficted by Islamic mental pathology they show a childish inability to think such matters through.

There is just a great mound of bull-sh*t pushed by the anti-Islam syndicate (those of you agenda-BS artists) and the extreme far right that keep the Wilders story going, mind you a story that is mostly fiction.

As usual the context is the first to be skrewed.

Geert Wilders is the leader of a political party that has no democratic value and only because of Dutch laws would such a party exist. If you join his party, that means your giving money. You do not chose the leadership or even who gets to contest seats. Dutch laws unfortunatly allow such parties and political platforms, that for instance in Belgium would automatically not be considered valid for politics.

Add to that Geert Wilders is only there to cash in on the usual confusion and low-level xenophobia that each country has, add a bit of "nationalism and patriotism" to make it appear somehow honorable and bingo you have votes. Add economic crisis and similar nationalistic bigotry from neighbouring countries - and cash in on the work of other hate-for-profit personalities and that is Wildes.

Wilders in Parliament is the best example of the hate-for-profit pig he is. He basically stands up twice a week, once as an MP and once as a so-called leader of a party and makes outrageous comments and then leaves the Chamber altogether, ensuring that he is not asked any difficult questions - like any question. As you all know, Wilders avoids debate altogether, you know - debate and discussion, the backbone of politics and social growth. He loves to claim it is for security, but he does so in the Chambers of Parliament which one can assume is the safest place in The Netherlands. When he does go on tours, it is on the basis that there are no question times or as he has now learnt the better method of - questions are to be given in advance. Wilders used to debate when he first tried local politics, he was a flop and was eaten alive.

Wilders as a statesman? Forget it, for those of you whom are giving that rubbish comment of Wilders for PM and that he will win the majority and government - it will never happen! First of all, his party is a single-agenda-issue party whom has grown to ony three. Thus, the subject of economics, social secuirty, defence, employment, education and the usual things - he is not interested and does not even hang around and vote. Go to the Dutch parliament website and look up the statistics - the lowest attendance and lowest voting record is - you guessed it Wilders. Thus, you think he can run a country when all he is interested in is Immigration Issues and voting age - and that was to try and curry favour with another radical group. Actually his taking power is impossible for two very basic reasons, let alone the Dutch population will never allow a single-issue party take power. The first is that his party does not actually contest most seats, only target ones, thus making all you bigot's claims of statistical popularity just crap. The second is that the Queen would never ask him to form a governemnt and the constitution allows for that, she simply would ask for a coalition of the second largest (which would happen to ensure no chaos based on bigotry) and then ask the third and if that failed another election would happen and be sure, she has the personality to ensure that a Wilders government would never happen, even if it was a year of elections.

Wilders the hypocrit. Wilders constantly makes a hypocrit of himself. We can start with the fact that he talks about freedoms, representation and even democracy when he is the leader of the most autocratic structure in The Netherlands - his party - I mentioned it above. Five members of senior levels have now quit mentioning that for example he chose to advertise in the newsapers of Europe for candidates to go for the EU seats - which by the way his party is supposed to be against.

Then we can add the strange question of Freedom of Speech "no matter what" which keeps on saying is a matter of point/honor/survival. So, fine. But then when there was a huge debate early this year about the right to holocaust denial - he refused to comment. Simply put, he is obliged to support holocaust denial and thus prove his ugly self. He does not because he gets a lot of his material from his next favourite country that he visits regularly (14 times last year - a matter of public record). Now I have nothing agains the State of Israel and I am not targetting it because of the anti-Islam or Islam-vs-Israel BS (it is all just Arab nationalism to me), it is because of the holocaust and he is obliged by his own standards to support denial of that horrible event. There is a questionable point about his Israel links that is anti-Islamic. The kabbutz he visits was a bastion of Moshe Kahanne and Wilder's rhetoric is often word-for-word from some groups based there. That is still debatable, but worth mentioning.

Freedom of Speech.

The entire issue of Wilders is not Freedom of Speech at all and as mentioned above, he loves to use it as long as it makes him look good and will circumvent it as he sees fit. Freedom of Speech is a fundamental right in The Netherlands under the laws, but there is also hate-crimes and the difference is legally clear - collective bigotry, instigating and producing hate versus particular groups through public dissemination is the topic. Wilders of course will say otherwise, since he is the one abusing it.

FITNA is an example of attempting to doctor an image based on cut & paste and broadcast propoganda that simply put, if the Qur'an had intellectual property rights, FITNA would have been neve allowed to be shown and Wilders would be in the poor-house. There are enough quotes from the Old Testiment and Torah that are horrible if a similar cut & paste excercise was made, super-imposing quotes and images from radical Jews such as Kahhane, images of settlers kicking old ladies into the ground, pictures of Israeli jets dropping bombs, palestinian kids dead on the street or in hospital with limbs blown off and bingo you have an exact example of FITNA, oh do not forget the chanting of the Tahlmut. Now if a Dutch politician producted that, what would be the story eh?

Wilders is a hate-for-profit monger whom seeks to be adulated but as he was not up to scratch took the more radical approach. Yes he is being targetted by extremists and instead of making that as some proof of how good it is, it should be just a matter of saying that yes he is a target now lets get back to the issues or in fact condemnation becaue he tries to capitalize on it by creating excuses to avoid being eaten alive in a debate or to get sympathy as a victim.

Hopefully the courts will find that Wilders is guilty and that he will be banned from national and European politics and he will not longer be protected by parliamentary privilage. He will after three or four months be forgotten and that is the point, he will then try and become a Spencer, open a website and then find himself in and out of various courts, as he will have to justify his BS which he cannot.

A last comment, one about hypocrisy. He recently sided with a fundamentalist christian party in The Netherlands because they wanted to ban minarets like in Switzerland. The call failed because no party (other than Wilders) would side with a political party that wants to ban women from working and politics. Great going Wilders, you would have lost credibility if you had any.

So, in summary - stop the hype and get the facts.

Rabbis Arrested: What if They Were Imams?

In a new case of corruption and political intrigue a group of Mayors from Hoboken, Ridgefield and Secaucus New Jersey, and five Rabbis were among 44 people charged by the US with public corruption and money laundering.

The corruption probe, based in Hudson County, netted many public officials accused of pledging assistance for bribes. A cooperating witness in that probe also infiltrated a “pre- existing money laundering network” that moved “at least tens of millions of dollars through charitable, nonprofit entities controlled by rabbis in New York and New Jersey,” according to a release by acting U.S. Attorney Ralph Marra…The rabbis were charged with laundering money that often was sent to Israel.
The attorney was on the record stating that though they arrested a “number of Rabbis” it did not make this a “religiously motivated case.” These should be comforting words to practitioners of the Jewish Faith and of course reaffirms what is well known in American justice, “You are innocent until proven guilty.” It does, however, highlight the contradictions within our society. Contradictions that are all too apparent to American Muslims.

Let us consider what would have happened if those arrested were not Rabbis, instead, let us say that they were Imams. What would have happened? At the very least, the rabid anti-Muslim blogosphere would be in a fit, Jihad Watch’s Robert Spencer would be linking it to selective pages of 8th century Muslim law books and proclaiming it as all part of Islam’s attempt to take over the world through “Stealth Jihad.” Debbie Schlussel, would be decrying the “inherent criminality” of Islam, while Steven Emerson would proclaim that he has been warning of the “Islamic financial threat” to the West for years. Even in the mainstream media there would be some form of discussion revolving around Islam’s role in influencing the criminal enterprise.

The evident double standards here are hardly noticed in any news outlet. The Rabbis’ faith was not disparaged, nor was any insinuation made that their religion had any bearing on their involvement with the alleged criminal actions — rightly so. But is it too much to ask that when the Islamophobes and other loons come across a similar case in which there are allegations of criminality against Muslims that they should give the same “benefit of the doubt” that they would give to other Faiths such as Judaism and Christianity?

It is a tall order, I know, because the anti-Muslims are motivated by nothing other than a hate for Muslims, and applying a consistent methodology that would distinguish between Faith and Faithful hurts their argument that Islam is the boogey-man monster underneath your bed.

You are right about the narrowness of single issue parties ;but then all parties usually start that way.
You suggest that it's a weakness of Dutch democracy that he is allowed his platform.
After the Theo van Gogh murder and the flight of Ayaan Hirsi Ali it would appear that the issue of Islamic interlopers and their drain on the Dutch economy not to mention their persistent lobby for yet more privileges is something that any native Hollander should oppose.

The point is Solkhar what would you do if you found your country invaded by a vast foriegn culture (largely uneducated) abusing democratic principles supported by a supremacist ideology that brooks no oposition whatsoever and by applying simple arithmetic threatens a majority within a few generations.
The short and simple answer is that if they don't speak the language ,have been guilty of criminal activity
and have no attempted cultural identity with the majority then deport them.
When I was asked to treat Morrocan women in my surgery;I used to make a point of throwing out he accompanying male(they had not the wit to understand what bacteria laden clothes were).
And I could never find anyone in the community to write out a hand out(I managed that with the Turks)
Whether Wilders succeeds in his political ambitions I cannot say;except that if he succeeds I expect
the FIFO(fit in or fuck off )to be applied.

Three issues there for response.

First I am all for my country The Netherlands being ten times more strict and setting up contracts on integration. I am also a supporter of more stringent immigration conditions all round.

Second, Hirst Ali is a sell-hate-for-profit foot. I have met her twice, in a large meeting told her this to her face and the reaction of the two odd thousand others was applause - and she walked out. The audience, by the way, were not Muslims or moslty immigrant but civil servants. She left parliament because she was a failure at it and thus started going for the radical market to get her picture in the press - not because she has a logical issue.

Lastly, single-issue parties come and go, hate-agenda parties do not have to start. We can assume, unlike in the developing world, that the west has already a mature political system. In fact most countries in the west would never have allowed Wilders to start and it is antiquated Dutch laws that nobody bothered to change that allowed it.

ps. Irvine is rightly stopped from travelling to many places and is charged in some for inciting hate yet others like Wilders - whom should be supporting Irine's so-called right to deny - are not because of parliamentary privilidge. That is the point as well.

I am Dutch, white, germanic-nordic or whatever you want to call it. My father is Dutch by three generations and then a mix of Dutch, German and Nordic. My mother is three generations also, with origins that are French and Swiss.
