Suzy, you are fighting battle that can’t be won (America in Iraq?). In today’s age, trying to convince the world that Islam is a religion of Peace is impossible. In the early years of Mohamed, the Koran teaches a great deal of peace. However, once the wars began, the Koran sang a different tune. You must admit, in the 20th and 21st century, no religion kills so routinely as Islam.

In your defense, however, Christianity is no better. One may argue that Christians haven’t killed anyone ‘recently’, but that is truly a meaningless argument. Christianity is a belief in something that is far from recent, so to appreciate it one must look back at the history of Christianity. What happened 400 years ago during the Crusades had nothing to do with defense and everything to do with money, and those that don’t know this really don’t know their religion too well. But, let’s not look 400 years back, but only 70 years back. Why does everyone ignore the fact that the Catholic Church fully backed Hitler and Mussolini? Of course, they apologized for this later, but that didn’t change the fact that they openly asked people to hand over Jews and non-catholic Christians over to the 3rd Reich. Christianity is a very evil religion which openly attacks other religions, scares its followers with damnation, completely ignores all the horrors of their past, doesn’t teach anyone in their congregation the true history of their religion, and a great deal more. Please, do not attack Muslims using Christianity as a background.

But, the catholic inquisition had as much to do about expulsion of Muslims as the war in Iraq has to do with War on Terror … it is an element, but far from a reason. Take a look at what the crusades were really about on Wikipedia, it’s a good read.

Rather than respond to both of your arguments separately, I will respond to your other here as well. For starters, I have never claimed that there is equivalence between Muslims and Christians, those are your words. I simply expressed similarities. The fact that the two religions share the same roots, and have killed countless of people in the name of their religions are extremely similar. Have you forgotten what has been going on in Northern Ireland? How many protestants and catholics were murdered by their opposition? How many children were slaughtered, or schools burned? Maybe we should look at Rwanda, how many natives were killed by the Christian Missionaries? These are all Christians killing other Christians.

You can say that Christ never taught murder. This is for sure, he taught peace and love. Christ was by far the most enigmatic preacher of peace of that era. However, my argument is about Religion. If people listened to what he taught, rather than try to nitpick various phrases and worry about which day to eat a piece of bread, and how much wine to drink, that would be a different story. Christianiy has little to do with Christ, but everything to do with Power. The words like … Son of God for instance if you choose to think that God should have a son, then think of this phrases that my Christian friends read to me. “Bless are the Peace Maker for they are the sons of God ….” Showing anybody can be the son of God if they does good deeds, but think again are you God ? Of course not.

Difference between human and animal are the “Aqqal”, which is one conscious mind capacity to accept commitment and responsibility. It is the intellectual mind that makes you thinks to make choices or decision. One should use that precious faculty wisely. Meanings Islam wants the believer to react wisely in the event that someone want to make war with you. I don’t believe that Islam wants people to declare war all the time.

There really is nothing to feel alienated by the Muslims presence. For example lets take a look at Halal food requirement. Look at the bright side not all that you can consume is agreeable with the Muslim but any food that is prepared Muslim can be consumed by human kind. No problem at all !!!

I like to comment on the of Quranic had never been re-written issue raised. The primary language of the Quran is in Arabic which is a wonderful and unique phonetic language.

Go lecture the Saudi’s about thinking straight. Let me clarify, I’m trying to be very honest in all my posting. I am not young anymore, and was a seafarer in the 80′s. I have met throughout my life from all walks of life in various countries some very good Priest from Flying Angel, Stella Marie etc. Church  in Melbourne and Sydney. I really feel like a family when they were onboard the ship. They even ferry us to the city using the church community bus and take us back to the ship before 2200 hrs.

I almost become a Christian myself when our ship were in Hamburg, I was approached by a Dutch priest who speaks Indonesian. As the ship stay were about 1 week in Hamburg, he taught me everything he knew about Christ ! I was ready to be baptized but the ship sail off to Durban the very next day before he arrived.

In Durban I happened to meet Rev. James Cunningham, a former Priest that had now served to choose Islamic approached. He is one of the man that is responsible to guide me in Islam.  He is now known as Jamaluddin Cunningham.    

Reason I told you some of my yesteryears  ……. just to give you some ideas of what person I am.  OK, I have never meet you my Christian friend, but my Christian friends in Malaysia who were the Chinese and Indian they doesn’t know Jesus was a Jew. That is what I mean by “some” ….. pls refer to my previous post.

I am not a soldier that fought in battle fields nor I have killed anybody throughout  my life. Thanks God for not involving me in that kind of business.

The main difference here is whether u stay there forever or eventually goes to Heaven after completing your time in Hell. If you are destined to be in Hell forever than you will the “fuel” to burnt the sinner. And nobody “rot” in Hell bcoz YOU will get new skin each time the skin are burnt, a damaged skin will lost the sense of pain.

Most importance for all of us to realize here regardless whether u are of Muslim faith or not u don’t decide who will go to Hell. It is the up to the Creator discreetion. He will decide who will go where ….
