Zawahiri Dead in latest Pakistan missile strike?

Do you like this story?

Word on the street is that the latest major missile strike in Pakistan was aimed at a certain Arab doctor.

As ya’ll know Ayman al-Zawahiri is the #2 Al Qaeda leader behind Osama Bin Laden.

Pray for the best.  That would be Gadahn (American AlQaeda)  and Zawahiri so far in 2008.  This year is shaping up to be a good one so far for the War on Islamic Terror.

A pro-government militant commander accused the Pakistani and US forces on Monday of carrying out Sunday’s missile attack on a compound of a house in the Shah Nawazkot area of South Waziristan. The attack left nine people, inclu/ding some foreigners, dead.

Maulvi Nazir’s spokesman Mita Khan, who won the support of the government after launching an armed campaign against Uzbek militants, termed the attack a joint operation of Pakistani and US forces.

Some unconfirmed reports say that a doctor of Arab origin who frequented the compound was among the dead.

I pray it is true, and that this unholy bastard joins Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, Zarqawi and many other terrorists and tyrants in Hell. With this mass murderer (hopefully) gone innocent men, women and children will be safer in their beds and in their streets.

  • Richard

Yes, and hopefully the nine innocents aren’t forgotten. Because, although you cannot put a price on freedom, you can apparently put a price on an innocent’s life.

What i am trying to say is this: is it worth it? how many innocents have to die at our hands before we realize that it is no longer worth the death of one “Terrorist”?

  • Storm-Rider

I have no doubt that many of the adults you refer to as “innocents” are, in fact, collaborators. This is asymmetrical warfare, and they don’t wear uniforms; but they do have sinister associations with others who wear civilian clothes.

As for the truly innocent, yes, I agree that the price of liberty is high, and the protection of the innocent in war must be given very high priority. You can bet your bottom dollar that our enemies do not make such calculations to protect the innocent in war – they hate and target the innocent; and that is why they must be defeated – must be defeated.

  • Rudy

Who said anything about “innocents”? All it mentioned were 9 foreigners. As evidenced in Iraq, terrorists love to travel to other countries to wage jihad, and considering the “innocents” support the terrorists, hide them in their villages, alert them when our patrols are around (happened frequently in Afghanistan, and Iraq), and attend rallies and chant “DEATH TO AMERICA”, I have to say JIMMY CRACK CORN AND I DONT CARE. According to islam they are shahid, and get to go to their orgy in the afterlife, so in reality, we are doing them a favor. Cold hearted, I know, but this is WAR.

  • Richard

I am glad that we can explain away the deaths of people so easily. “These people were in the same building as this terrorist, so they must be terrorists as well” You are correct, it just said foreigners. For all i know, it was a meeting of “How to kill America Weekly” or some other such crap.

But i am disgusted that you, Storm-Rider, try to push away my objections with the whole, “He Started it!” crap. Yes, they killed us. They killed Friends, Relatives, and Countrymen. I just fail to see how killing their Friends, Relatives, and Countrymen, in as bad or worse ways than what they use, is us being the better people.

And i’m sorry, but you are wrong. Terrorists do not target Civilians. Civilians are simply collateral damage. Terrorists are out to cause terror, and they succeed even if they do not kill Civilians. Let me give you an example.

You may remember the scare a few years back in Britan, where a guy tried to sneak explosives onto a plane in his Shoes. guess what? they caught him! he failed! yay!…. right?

wrong. we let them get the better of us. we gave in. now, every time we try to get on an airplane, we need to take off our shoes. Because one deranged guy tried to blow up a plane, we all need to change the way we live to protect ourselves against it. guess what? he succeeded.

    He made us Afraid.

The Innocent are not their targets, the innocent are an end to a means. horrible, terrible tactics it may be, there is an easy way to combat it, one that doesn’t involve killing people in foreign countries. Stop being afraid.

Wow, you are so sophisticated – so much so that have become a fool. People like you remind me of something that George Orwell once said: “There are some ideas so wrong that only a very intelligent person could believe in them.”

The Islamo-fascists did start it, just like the Nazi’s started it in the twentieth century. They started it, and we’ll finish it with their total defeat. There is no moral equivalence between those who murder and engage in wars of aggression and terror, and those who defend their lives and their liberty. That may be too simple an idea for your great intellect, but the question is not how smart you are – what your IQ is; but rather what is your moral quotient. Like other intelligent fools, your moral quotient is low – you can’t tell right from wrong.

As for your mind-numbing analysis of the shoe-bombing terrorist, we are simply in a new kind of war; and we must adjust our defense against this new asymmetrical threat in whatever way is most likely to work best for us – our safety and our liberty. With your superior intellect though, it is probably just a simple matter of you calling the DHS or the DOD or the President himself and letting them know how you’ve figured it all out. My family and I will be able to sleep much better – will you please make the call?

  • Richard

That has to be the most well thought out and well written, “you are such an idiot” comment i have ever recieved. and George Orwell! you used one of my own against me. That was pretty good. Of course, he is the same person that said such brilliant things as, “The Catholic and the Communist are alike in assuming that an opponent cannot be both honest and intelligent.” and, “The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side, but he has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them”

And i also urge you to look at this website, if you truly believe that they started the Hatred and Lies, that The Radical Muslims just woke up one morning and said, “I think we will kill Americans today”

I also like how you did nothing to refute my points, only proceeding to call me an idiot, albeit in very fancy language. You are going to refute me by pointing out that i hold myself to a different set of Morals than you. Congradulations.

And i’m not even going to respond to the last paragraph. I never claimed to be smart, or intelligent. you thrust that label onto me. but i will ask you this:

Is it possible to be both Secure AND Free? At what point does Giving up Freedoms in the name of Security become the Immoral thing to you?

  • Storm-Rider

    Hey Richard

Thanks for the compliment. I actually did mean to compliment you as well, because there is no doubt in my mind that you are a very smart man. We could use a guy like you on our side, and I believe you and I could actually become friends in that event.

You know, Richard, it is difficult for a grown man to change his mind and his heart, but it is not impossible. I believe a person’s MQ is subject to change in an instant. It can change so suddenly that the earth can be felt to move underfoot – a paradigm shift in the heart and the mind. It is impossible, however to increase one’s IQ at our stage of life – something for which you can either be grateful to God or to the great big bang in the sky.

  • Rudy

Why would you call Richard intelligent and say we could use him on our side when he either is grossly misinformed and uneducated, or a flat out liar regarding terrorists targeting civilians? I hope that was sarcasm

I read your full comment on the subject of collateral damage. Terrorists DO target civilians. Who the **** do you think was in the World Trade Center’s North and South Towers??? Those were CIVILIANS. THEY WERE INNOCENT, going about their lives until terrorists TARGETED CIVILIANS and killed them. Or perhaps the 3/11 Madrid Train Station, terrorists once again TARGETED CIVILIANS. And again on 7/7 in the London Subway, terrorists TARGETED CIVILIANS. Or the shoebomber Richard Reid? Correct me if I am wrong, but that airliner was full of CIVILIANS he TARGETed.

By your definition then, those 9 foreigners in Pakistan are collateral damage. You truly have illustrated either your blatant ignorance, or your unwillingness to see the truth.

And about Iran, the CIA taking out one government head is NOT the cause of terrorism, islam is. Islamic doctrine calls for forced conversion, subjugation or killing of all infidels. PERIOD. Ever wonder what the REAL reason for the crusades was? It was response to the muslims invading and taking over Spain and Portugal, and penetrating into France, which is why many words in Spanish and Portuguese (I speak both fluently) are of Arabic origin. Not to mention them overrunning Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morrocco, Western Sahara and Mauritania. But of course that was in retaliation for American foreign policy, according to you leftist kooks.

I agree with Storm Rider and Rudy. How in the world do you expect anyone to believe that the Islamic terrorists don’t target civilians?!!! Please, tell me you were grasping at straws. And your argument that the USA ruined Iran’s chance at democracy is pitifully, and deceptively lame . Why should it matter if it were true? . . . .And? You are hiding your head in the sand, and I believe you are letting your bitter emotions interfere with your objective powers of reasoning. Pure logic would tell you that there are multiple reasons Iran is where it is today.

Nasr, Vali, The Shia Revival, Norton, (2006), p.124
Review by Jonathan Schanzer of All the Shah’s Men by Stephen Kinzer
Mackay, Sandra, The Iranians, Plume (1997), p.203, 4

But you prefer to believe as you do, without investigation. As far as terrorists succeeding “even if they do not kill Civilians”, you are right, but I prefer they succeed in causing terror without causing the death of civilians, rather than burying my head in the sand, and letting them SUCCEED in terror that causes the deaths of civilians. If this takes heightened security in public areas, then woo hoo!! I’m all for it. YOUR freedoms which, by the way, are not being infringed upon in areas crucial for your basic needs, will always take a back seat to the preservation of my life, and the lives of others. Get over it, airplane boy.
