Obama Video: “I mispoke but didn’t lie”

So what did you mean exactly when you said that when small town people, when bitter, cling to Guns, religion, racism and bigotry?

Just to remind everyone, here’s what he said a few days ago to a closed door crowd of liberals in San Francisco:

But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there’s not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them.

And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

How do you rephrase that?

Obama, too often, tries to “uhh” and “umm” his way through questions where he doesn’t know what to say and tries to think of the most PC thing to say at the moment, and when he says something that was obviously thought out, he blames conservatives and the media for “taking his words out of context”.

Are people EVER held accountable for their words? EVER? He may as well have said,

“Those small town folk are a bunch of typical gun-lovin, racist, religious fundamentalists who are bitter because their government won’t give them more handouts”

He could have said that and still would have claimed, “you took me out of context”…

I guess words don’t mean much anymore…

    Andrew,

Barrack Obama is the T-1000 from T2 (mimetic poly allow, able to change form and mimic anything it comes into contact with) to Hillary's T-800 from The Terminator (relentless killing machine, doesn't feel pain, just keeps on coming until its objective is achieved) :D I think that is the best analogy for how scary Obama is compared to HRC.

Storm-Rider I just have to say BRAVO!!! Our 2nd amendment right guarantees our 1st amendment. Give me liberty or give me death a great American once said. We need more great Americans and less liberal cry babies, BHO and send the UN packin!

I'll take my stand with the conspiracy of our founding fathers - the "Vast American Conspiracy of Liberty."

I won't make a stand with any politician or leader who takes any stand in opposition to the values (Declaration of Independence) and laws (Constitution and Bill of Rights) of our founding fathers - including Barak Hussein Obama.

Many Americans over the years have been willing to place themselves in harm’s way, and many thereby suffered or died in the defense of this great "American Conspiracy of Liberty." I dare Mr. Obama to test the resolve of real American men who will die before giving up liberty for themselves and their families.

Our founding fathers said it - no guns, no liberty. Our founding fathers said it – liberty or death.

Here here Storm-rider! Well stated and right on! And no, their words don't mean anything anymore and with BHO - if we question him, if we don't go along with what he says we are racist, religious, gun-happy nuts who are all part of the "vast Right Wing conspiracy". Give me a break. Just go away BHO. Who would have EVER thought that someone more scary that HRC could ever come along? Astoundingly terrifying this man.

    Mr. Obama,

    1. Clinging to guns is the same as clinging to liberty its self. Our founding fathers said in the Declaration of Independence that our life and liberty are irreversible individual God-given human rights. Our founding fathers said in the Bill of Rights that clinging to guns is a right which pre-exists the Bill of Rights its self, and which ensures the survival of the afore-mentioned God-given rights to life and liberty - ensures the survival of our life and liberty from domestic tyranny - the internal enemies of liberty.

    2. Americans cling to religion because they love God, and so did our founding fathers. Our founding fathers said that God is the source of our sacred human rights - they said it in the Declaration of Independence. They then created the three branches of government and the Bill of Rights in order to secure those God-given human rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Our founding fathers clung to Judeo-Christian faith and religion, and it resulted in the greatest nation in the history of the world.

    3. Americans don't have antipathy to legal immigrants - it is time however to put an end to illegal immigration. We also must make a rational calculation as to how many people can live in the United States without causing excessive water and air pollution.
