Controversial “islamic” art turned away from another museum

Gay-Mohammed Exhibition Turned down for the Third Time

THE HAGUE, 26/04/08 – The controversial Mohammed-exhibition of work by Iranian artist Sooreh Hera remains hidden from the public. For the third time in succession, an exhibitor willing to show her work has reversed this decision.

Hera took photos of homosexuals wearing masks of the prophet Mohammed and his son-in-law Ali. The work was first going to be exhibited by the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, but the museum changed its mind because it “did not wish to become part of a political debate,” as Director Wim van Krimpen put it.

MuseumgoudA then took on the role of advocate of artistic freedom. In December 2007, museum director Ranti Tjan offered to exhibit the work of Hera, who by then had begun to receive serious threats. But Tjan then needed protection himself and called the whole thing off.

Nor will the photos be shown at Art Amsterdam, an exhibition in the RAI at the beginning of May. Galerie A in Amsterdam offered two weeks ago to show the photos at Art Amsterdam, but now suddenly claims there is “not enough space”. Only Hera’s “less controversial” photos will therefore be on display in the RAI.

In the Lower House, the Party for Freedom (PVV) has now urged Culture Minister Ronald Plasterk to exhibit the Iranian artist’s work in his ministry. MP Martin Bosma considers that the Labour (PvdA) minister should “guarantee artistic freedom”.

So apparently, museums are okay with exhibits where the cross is dipped in urine, but showing muhamhead doing things muslims do is wrong and offensive. Of course we all know that only the most insane Christian would retaliate against the “Piss Christ” exhibit with violence. We would much rather wait, and let the imbecile who thinks it’s art, face the wrath of God.

But with muslims, if one is even suspected of blaspheming the pedophile muhamhead, well, that’s a stoning. Call islam violent and intolerant and muslims react with violence and intolerance. But I swear, it really is a peaceful religion. And I also have ocean front property for sale in Montana. Send me an email or leave a comment if you want details.

Gee, too bad. I have a copy of the koran that I sculpted completely out of pig and dog shit that I thought would be a great addition next to 'piss christ'.

What a shame! artistic freedom suppressed.
What the multiculturist "stalinists" fail to realise is that derogation of Islam is a powerful democratic tool to oppose the forces of the egregious totalitarian ideology of Islam.
It really gets their goat(with apologies to all violated goats).
The evidence for this statement is right here on this holy blog.
