Girl, 17, killed in Iraq for loving a British soldier

Rand Abdel-Qader was stamped upon, suffocated and stabbed by her father, then given an unceremonious burial to emphasise her disgrace. Police released her father without charge two hours after his arrest.

“Not much can be done when we have an honour killing case,” said Sergeant Ali Jabbar of Basra police. “You are in a Muslim society and women should live under religious laws. The father has very good contacts inside the Basra government and it wasn’t hard for him to be released and what he did to be forgotten.”

The religion of “peace” (as long as you submit your free will and free thought to their 7th century cult of death, otherwise you must die) shows it’s barbarism, yet again. This time the victim was a 17 year old.

A total of 47 young women died in honour killings in the city last year, Basra Security Committee told an investigation into Ms Abdel-Qader’s case by The Observer. This is believed to be the only case of an honour killing involving a British soldier.

Wow, those tolerant muslims! Only 47 honor killings. Much better than countries like Iran and Saudi Barbaria, where if you get gang-raped you go to jail and get sentenced to 200 lashes in public, unless you apologize for being gang-raped and promise never to be gang-raped again. I wonder if the 47 counted here includes all the women killed by the militias in Basra (whom anyone with 1/1000000th of a functioning brain cell knows are trained by Iran) for not dressing in the traditional black, garbage bag like dresses.

    Here are a couple ideas:

    1. Why don’t we start economically boycotting countries that continue to treat their women like this and the companies that do business with them? We could do for women what the boycott of South Africa did for blacks when they were living under apartheid.

    2. Why don’t we write to our representatives and leaders and demand that they withhold some meaningful portion of our aid to these countries unless and until they materially, measurably, sustainably improve their human rights track records?

    Because our government is more interested in having middle-eastern allies than it is in human rights. Aaaannnd, because our government still see’s islam as a religion, and God forbid, they do anything to interfer in the beliefs of a ‘religion’ . (except for fundamentalist mo-mo’s). check out Kondi Rices feelings and commands about islamists and jihadists. She is one ignorant , idiot-savant type of person. She might be able to play the piano, but she is plain stupid about middle-eastern societies.

    There are some social changes that need to be made, but how to make them in such a way that women can learn to expect/demand different treatment and men can learn to treat women better? Real change has to be something society consents to rather than coerced.

    Sounds great, now if we could only make people know that blacks are still living like shit in South Africa and the whites that kept the country organized and under some sort of law are now living in poverty too while the world thinks Nelson Mandela is some sort of hero when in fact he was a tyrant terrorist that killed his own people as well as whites. I live in Africa and they refuse to change their ways such as having 10 wives and 100 children all who are not cared for and live and die in poverty not because of whites but because they want to embrace everything good in life but take no responsibility.

    We have to suppose that the Religion or the gangster rules make the men mad. It is said that the Gods make men mad before destroying them. Possibly this is what is happening.

    It is frightening that men and families of this group have found safe haven in Europe and the Americas. Is it possible that the Gods have , from another point of view, made the Men of Europe and the Americas mad? for admiiting these so called 'honour' killers who have no honour at all amongst themselves.
