Congressman Boehner, a good man, spoke with Hannity today to talk about the state of the GOP in Washington.
It was disheartening. Hannity urged him to try and unite conservatives with a clear plan of action, but Boehner said “that’s not the right plan of action”. He said it’s better for each conservative to go to his own state and campaign within their home state to try and regain the confidence of their base. Considering the recent GOP debacles in Louisiana and Mississippi, that plan of action may not work too well.
Now why would Boehner NOT want to unite conservatives with a clear plan of action that could be marketed to the American people? Answer: Not everyone is on board…
From listening to this audio, it sounds like it’s because the GOP is split on earmarks, Anwar, spending and other issues. A clear example of this split is yesterday when they voted for this pork farm bill. After they supposedly were dedicated to put a halt to more government spending, they conveniently voted for it anyways, because as Boehner put it “a lot of them are small town representatives” who represent farmers…yea, ok…
