I have no words to describe the most disgraceful man in the history of American Media other than “astonishing, moronic, pathetic, ignorant, disgusting moral equivalence”
Well I guess those were a couple, but I’ll leave it at that. Just watch…
If you can’t see the video at work, here’s what he said:
They pulled the ad? Because of the possibility of misperception? By the right-wing equivalents of jihadists — the people in this country who most closely share the mentalities of the terrorists. Who act the most like Middle Eastern nutjobs. Who rail against diversity, try to murder dissent, and care more about flags than about people.
You know, the Michelle Malkins of the world….How about the rest of us boycott Dunkin’ Donuts, for giving in to fascists like Michelle Malkin? And for giving weight to perhaps the most absurd idea the lunatic fringers have ever belched forth: that there are terrorist scarves! Terrorist scarves!
Michelle Malkin points out:
“It’s just a scarf, the clueless keffiyeh-wearers scoff. Would they say the same of fashion designers who marketed modified Klan-style hoods in Burberry plaid as the next big thing?”
Robert Spencer also adds:
This is another example of the witless moral equivalence that I devoted a book to refuting last year. It’s just stupid rhetorical overheating, but it is worth noting because it distracts from the reality of the global jihad, and that keeps us from defending ourselves against it. If American conservatives really were the “equivalents of jihadists,” Keith Olbermann’s head would some time ago have been separated from his body. But the obverse is even worse: if jihadists are just like American conservatives, why, then they’re just “nutjobs” who “rail against diversity” — worthy of mockery, but not of serious concern.

Yet another muslim country showcasing its regard for the rights of women.
A member of a Moroccan delegation in New York this month described a secret detention center in southwestern Algeria for mothers whose only crime was being unwed. The story’s political backdrop is a complicated territorial dispute in Western Sahara.
(WOMENSENEWS)–Pregnant women and single mothers are languishing in a secret detention center in Tindouf, a southwestern province in Algeria, charges Brahim El Selem. “It is made out of mud bricks . . . You can’t see the jail because it is a hole between two hills.”
El Selem says the women’s detention center–which he says he visited three or four times–confines almost 30 women, some with toddlers. The structure’s zinc roof provides minimal protection from the Saharan desert heat, he adds.
The women’s offense? Sex outside marriage, a crime often leading to jail sentences for men and women in Muslim countries.
El Selem says he is a former police officer with the Polisario Front, an independence movement backed by Algeria in its decades-long fight with Morocco over the Western Sahara.
El Selem says women in this jail can leave under only two situations. One is when her child turns 2. The other is if a member of the Sahrawi community agrees to marry her. Marriage for single mothers is so improbable that he says that option is rarely exercised. Although one woman, he says, did resort to marrying a cousin with developmental disabilities to get out.
He says he visited the prison for unwed mothers while on patrol duty. Some of the women, he says, were rape victims who continued to suffer sexual abuse at the hands of their guards.
More human rights women’s rights violations committed in yet another muslim country. CAIR is strangely silent of course, as are all “moderate” muslim groups.

Islam continues its export of thugs into the United Kingdom.
The son of hate preacher Abu Hamza has been arrested over a suspected burglary attempt.
Mustafa Kamel, 18 - one of hook-handed extremist Hamza’s seven children - was one of two youths arrested after a man caught someone breaking into his home.
The householder saw the suspect climbing in through a window at the rear and managed to chase him off.
Police suspect Kamel was not the youth breaking in, but was acting as a look-out while another man perpetrated the crime.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “The male resident challenged the suspect, who made off down an alleyway.
“The resident followed and called police on his mobile.
“Officers responded and arrested two men, both 18, on suspicion of attempted burglary.”
It is understood a laptop was found discarded in bushes after the arrests in Chelsea.
Kamel, who lives with Hamza’s second wife Nagat Mostafa in Shepherd’s Bush, was released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Like father like son. He is following in the footsteps of his deadbeat dad. After seeing a photo of his father, I wonder how in the bluest, BLUE HELL, he managed to father a child. Then I remember in islam, women are property.
Too bad this didn’t happen in the US, where we are allowed to defend our homes with guns. But that would make me an islamophobe, since I pointed out this thief’s dad is a muslim imam who incites hate and murder in mosques, and is in jail on such charges. I can hear the libtards now “That was taken out of context! Islam is a religion of peace!”

Setting aside my policy differences with McCain for a moment, this is definitely another Churchill moment for him in this campaign. He is sooo right on Iraq. Obama is sooo wrong

A group of Somali muslim women living in Minnesota have alleged religious discrimination because they were fired for refusing to wear MANDATORY work uniforms, because they claim they violated their “religious” beliefs.
Mission Foods, a New Brighton tortilla maker, is accused of religious intolerance for requiring six Muslim workers to wear uniforms that include pants they say are too revealing.
A group of Muslim workers allege they were fired by a New Brighton tortilla factory for refusing to wear uniforms that they say were immodest by Islamic standards.
Six Somali women claim they were ordered by a manager to wear pants and shirts to work instead of their traditional Islamic clothing of loose-fitting skirts and scarves, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a civil liberties group that is representing the women.
The women have filed a religious discrimination complaint with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
“For these women, wearing tight-fitting pants is like being naked,” said Valerie Shirley, a spokeswoman for the Minnesota chapter of CAIR. “It’s simply not an option.”
Of course CAIR would come to the aid of these “poor little muslimahs”. Nevermind that in muslim countries, non-muslim employees are treated like slaves, and paid less than minimum wage. If the muslimas dislike the uniform REQUIRED by federal law, then quit and go work somewhere else. Or leave the United States and go back to Somalia. The abbayat (the long black gown that resembles a trash bag, IMO) is a safety hazard in a meat packing plant. Anyone with half a brain can see the inherent danger, both to the worker who might get sucked into a meat grinder while wearing such loose garb, and to the employer, who these muslimahs would inevitably sue for damages if they were allowed to dress like they were in the middle east, and got sucked into a meat grinder and survived.
The company issued the following statement in response to the baseless allegations.
“Should these employees choose to adhere to the current Mission Foods uniform policy, they may return to their positions with the company,” the company statement said. “However, these positions will need to be filled as soon as possible and cannot be held indefinitely.”
In other words (since companies get sued for being honest and politically correct, I will translate) they said, “Follow the rules, or get another job.”
Read the story over at the Star Tribune.

According to the Asia Times Online, a retired US career diplomat and former assistant secretary of state still active in the foreign affairs community, speaking anonymously. Wonder who that is?
NEW YORK - The George W Bush administration plans to launch an air strike against Iran within the next two months, an informed source tells Asia Times Online, echoing other reports that have surfaced in the media in the United States recently.
Two key US senators briefed on the attack planned to go public with their opposition to the move, according to the source, but their projected New York Times op-ed piece has yet to appear.
In addition, the Times reports that 2 Key US Senators, Diane Feinstein (D-Ca) and Richard Lugar (R-IN) said they would write a New York Times op-ed piece “within days”, the source said last week, to express their opposition.
Details provided by the administration raised alarm bells on Capitol Hill, the source said. After receiving secret briefings on the planned air strike, Senator Diane Feinstein, Democrat of California, and Senator Richard Lugar, Republican of Indiana, said they would write a New York Times op-ed piece “within days”, the source said last week, to express their opposition. Feinstein is a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee and Lugar is the ranking Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee.
Senate offices were closed for the US Memorial Day holiday, so Feinstein and Lugar were not available for comment.
Given their obligations to uphold the secrecy of classified information, it is unlikely the senators would reveal the Bush administration’s plan or their knowledge of it. However, going public on the issue, even without specifics, would likely create a public groundswell of criticism that could induce the Bush administration reconsider its plan.
Senators going public with classified information to stop an executive order through a massive PR campaign through one of the nations top Newspapers? Why not every foreign policy decision go through the Senate and then through the Times?
How bout we have the Public decide what the best course of action is?
Please…If they actually do this, it will be a total undermining of the Executive Branch’s authority and ability to protect the American people and it’s allies.
The article also goes into some of Iran’s possible retaliatory actions:
Iran’s options
Iran could flex its muscles in any number of ways. It could step up support for insurgents in Iraq and for its allies throughout the Middle East. Iran aids both Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Israel’s Occupied Territories. It is also widely suspected of assisting Taliban rebels in Afghanistan.
Iran could also choose direct confrontation with the US in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, with which Iran shares a long, porous border. Iran has a fighting force of more than 500,000. Iran is also believed to have missiles capable of reaching US allies in the Gulf region.
Iran could also declare a complete or selective oil embargo on US allies. Iran is the second-largest oil exporter in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and fourth-largest overall. About 70% of its oil exports go to Asia. The US has barred oil imports from Iran since 1995 and restricts US companies from investing there.
China is Iran’s biggest customer for oil, and Iran buys weapons from China. Trade between the two countries hit US$20 billion last year and continues to expand. China’s reaction to an attack on Iran is also a troubling unknown for the US.

From the Vets For Freedom website:
1) Senator Obama has never met, one-on-one, with the Commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus.
2) Senator Obama has not visited Iraq, and our brave troops on the ground, in over two years. His last visit to Iraq was January 2006, and he was there for less than two days.
3) On April 8, when two-dozen Illinois veterans went to his office for a meeting, Senator Obama was unwilling to meet with them. He was in the office, just wouldn’t come out. Sergeant Anderson was a member of that group.
This from last week:
And this new one from today:

Imagine that John McCain named a young running mate to campaign with him, and this national rookie suggested America had 58 states, repeatedly used the wrong names for the cities he was visiting, and honored a Memorial Day crowd by acknowledging the “fallen heroes” who were present, somehow alive and standing in the audience. How long would it take for the national media to see another Dan Quayle caricature? Let’s raise the stakes. What if it was the GOP presidential candidate making these thoroughly ridiculous comments? This scenario is very real, except it isn’t McCain. It’s the other fellow.

Not that we didn’t already know this, but this makes it a little more official…
Syrian Defense Minister Hassan Turkemani and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Mustafa Najar signed, on May 27, a memorandum of understanding stressing the close security ties between the two countries.
Turkemani is visiting Iran this week.
The memorandum sets out technical and training cooperation between the sides, as well as reciprocal visits.
Najar said at the signing, “Iran’s might is now considered Syria’s might.” He added that the security cooperation between them was on the highest possible level.

Verona Italy looks to have had enough. Maybe this is a sign of Europe finally realizing the danger of unchecked immigration from countries that hate Western society.
Oriana Fallaci Square in place of the mosque
VERONA — Goodbye mosque. In its place, Oriana Fallaci Square.
This decision was taken by the committee of Oppeano (Verona), where yesterday morning a building used by Muslims for prayer was bulldozed. In its place, the Municipality will create a public square named after the writer of The Rage and the Pride, which promoted a bitter campaign against Islam.
- - - - - - - - -The decision to raze the structure which had been opened by ONLUS [translator’s note: Organizzazione Non Lucrativa di Utilita’ Sociale, a non-profit registered Italian charity] “For the success of Muslims”, was taken by the municipal administration, which acquired the area for €70,000 in order to transform it into an open area for parking and green space.
“My citizens did not want this takeover,” explained the mayor, Alessandro Montagnoli, deputy of the Lega Nord, “above all because it could create problems of practicability and cohabitation with the residents.”
Original story taken from la Repubblica. Much respect and gratitude to those great writers at Gates of Vienna for their translation.
Now all we need is for OUR politicians to follow suit, dismantle CAIR (or as Ann Coulter calls them, the NAACB - National Association for the Advancement of Car Bombers), and jail or deport all their terrorist financing members. ISNA should be on the same list.
FYI… Oriana Fallaci was an Italian journalist and author who resided in New York, and had adopted the US as her home. She gained notoriety among appeasers and terrorists alike, for having written a book, The Rage And The Pride shortly after 9/11, helping to expose the cult of islam for what it is. Sadly, she passed away in 2006 of Breast Cancer. Read more the life of Oriana here.

The UN is becoming more and more like a festering pus-filled boil that needs to be lanced.
Six-year-olds sexually abused by UN peacekeepers
Sexual abuse of children as young as six by aid workers and United Nations peacekeepers has continued unchecked despite repeated promises to stamp it out, according to a 12-month investigation.
More than half of the children interviewed in three countries, Ivory Coast, South Sudan and Haiti, knew of cases of forced sex with aid staff or peacekeepers.
The assaults were often in return for the very food or protection supposed to be provided to the vulnerable in a crisis.
Similar allegations have dogged UN missions since the organisation sent peacekeepers to Cambodia in the 1990s. However, today’s report, from Save The Children, is the first to point the finger at civilian aid staff, including those working for British charities, as well as soldiers
Its findings suggest a continuing lack of action despite promises to tackle alleged abuse made at a conference of UN officials and aid agencies in December 2006.
Six months after that meeting’s stern commitments, 12-year-old “Elizabeth” claimed that she was walking to tend her mother’s fields past the camp of a battalion of UN peacekeepers in northwestern Ivory Coast.
“There were men there who called my little brother over and gave him biscuits,” she haltingly told The Daily Telegraph last week in a village close to the town of Man.
“I refused to go, but one man came to me and held me by my dress and took me into the bush far from the road. His friends came, there were 10 of them. They held me down and raped me one by one. I could not flee. They were big men.
Afterwards I ran to my village, I was crying all night and vomiting. Even today I have medical problems. I can never forget that thing, it is stuck in my mind and I keep seeing it happen over and over like a film.”
Too fearful to leave the security of her village, she has dropped out of school. Even now, almost a year later, she says she freezes with fear whenever she sees a white UN or aid agency vehicle.
Elizabeth’s case is not unique among the 341 children interviewed.
Yet another reason the UN needs to be banned from the United States, and dissolved. In its place a coalition of DEMOCRATIC Nations (read: No islamic totalitarian states, no communist dictatorships, like Venezuela and Cuba).

A new video has surfaced online, calling on muslim jihadists (a.k.a. terrorists, or extremists, as the idiots in the State Department want them called) to acquire and use nuclear or chemical weapons to strike the West.
Terrorism: New al-Qaeda video calls for nuclear strike
Dubai, 27 May (AKI ) - By Hamza Boccolini - A new video called “Nuclear Terrorism” has been posted on the worldwide web calling for jihadists to use nuclear or chemical weapons to strike the west.
A simple jihadi propaganda video or a dangerous message to a sleeper cell in the west? That is the question raised by the video and no-one has yet claimed responsibility for it.
“Strike civilians in the west without mercy using weapons of mass destruction” is one of the calls made in the 39-minute video.
The question now being asked is whether the video is presenting a coded message or signalling an imminent terrorist attack.
Before the video was posted on the Arab internet forum Ekhlas a banner headline appeared on the website that said: “Pray, pray, Allah is great. America is destroyed by a fatal jihadist nuclear strike.”
Clicking on the banner gives the viewer access to a documentary which shows diverse images - from al-Qaeda speeches to western documentaries and other Islamist videos.
The objective appears to be to incite followers of al-Qaeda to use weapons of mass destruction to strike the west, but there may be more to it.
The video opens with two verses of the Koran that emphasise “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”. It then says “Fight them until there is no more persecution and Allah is the only object of worship. If they desist, there will be no hostility, except against those who are dishonest.”
Meanwhile dhimmis like Jimmy Carter, B. Hussein Obama and Nancy Pelosi insist on appeasing state sponsors of terror. And our Government continues to give millions of OUR tax dollars to the terrorists in Palestine, since allah does nothing to feed them. Nor do their so-called Arab brothers in jihad.
