To continue from my previous post, this one comes from Standpoint Online:

1. Why does Senator Obama advocate a surge of troops in Afghanistan though he considers a surge of troops in Iraq to have been a mistake?
2. Why is a stable Afghanistan crucial to US interests while a stable Iraq is not?
3. How long does Senator Obama expect to keep troops in Afghanistan?
4. Why is an open-ended commitment in Afghanistan manageable while the same in Iraq is not?
5. How much does Senator Obama expect to spend rebuilding Afghanistan?
6. Why is rebuilding Afghanistan affordable while rebuilding Iraq is not?
7. Why does Senator Obama consider the ethno-sectarian issues in Iraq to be nearly intractable while in Afghanistan they are something we can overcome?
8. If leaving Iraq will make the Iraqi government behave more responsibly, how will an increased presence in Afghanistan affect the Afghan government?
9. Why does Senator Obama advocate a “surge in diplomacy” and multilateralism in Iraq while simultaneously advocating unilateral action in the Pakistani tribal areas?
10. How large of a “residual force” will be left in Iraq and for how long?

Are you kidding? That idiot Obama hasn’t got the vaguest idea about what to do about any foreign problems, much less how to wage war in a sensible manner. He certainly wouldn’t have the smarts to listen to military advisors. He will only do what he is told by his puppet masters. He has no answers, no opinions and no actions that are his own. Fraud, or paper tiger are expressions that come to mind.

• Sir Wilhelm

He’s contradicted himself on every major campaign issue, why he should he be any different on these particular issues? His voting record is the most left wing in the Senate, when he bothers to vote, or just votes present. His only real accomplishment as a poitician is getting elected, no one can point to anything he’s accomplished other than that. I’m not aware of any accomplishments in his private life either, unless it was getting wealthy. He is the most unqualified candidate for president in our history, as far as I can see.

• Sir Wilhelm

By the way, what are his military qualifications? Has he taken any military history courses? Has he read any books? If so, what books has he read? If he has no military training, or knowledge, who are his military advisors? Aren’t these, and probably more I haven’t thought of, legitmate questions to ask a potential commander-in-chief? Particularly one who is going to be faced by the increasing possibility of WWIII.

Sir Wilhelm,

I think he read the book “Green Eggs And Ham” once in elementary school, in between reading verses from the quran :P

It’s too bazaar to think Obama is even a passing thought for President, and not even decades from now down the dirt road, that Obama thinks is his yellow brick road. He’s off to see the Wizard - smoking that weed along the way. Obama is weaving from side to side, just skipping along and doesn’t seem to know where he going? He isn’t sure he should be in America or Berlin. He has rather odd behavior and can’t seem to remember what he said last? Those drugs he did in school fried his brain. Last I heard, the Munchkins were afraid to come out and greet him because he was so tall and looked down on them. They had never seen a creature like Obama before and with him being that confused (bi-polar) they felt it safer to leave him alone. Good logic, he does seem to have very dangerous queer ideas, which would do harm.
Furthermore Obama hasn’t even got a heart, brain or courage and the Munchkins were really afraid of that Wicked Witch of the World, Michelle. Man she lools mean! It’s all a fairytale. So ‘Dream On’ in your Muslim Father’s dream Obama, which would be America’s worst nightmare!
NO NO NO Obama – forever. We are not in Kansas anymore and have discerned your bad intentions. Power hungry, fool hearty dictator that needs to stay in the Land of Oz!

McCain for President who is for REAL - God Bless America.

Obama’s head would pop off if he was to get hit with just one of those questions, I can’t imagine all 10!! But I sure would love to see him try to ride that bull ;)

The guy who helped Obama with the anti-war stance is Lt. Lippert, who plans to become an “Intelligence” officer with the Navy Seals.

This is one of the few articles I can find on Lippert; which says that he is one of Obama’s “foreign policy advisors”.

It would be fine to ask Obama these 10 questions if any conservative could answer the following question first.

Why did the United States invade Iraq, and start the Iraq war?

• simon

… because they wanted OIL!!

and made up a load of bogus reasons to justify it… shameful imo

• simon

..it would be interesting to find out how many human beings were killed in “shock and awe”… no one seemed to think it was worth counting.

I remember reading an article by a correspondent who was first into bagdad after the bombing, he heard a little girl screaming, as he rounded a corner he saw a small child standing by the corpse of her father. His intestines spilled all over the road.
War is a very nasty business, thousands of innocent people have been killed. No one can imagine the suffering of these ordinary people.

And seeing that there never were any weapons of mass destruction… the whole campaign has been a horror show of suffering.

Blood for oil… you know it makes sense

jennyjen love your picture, cute dog. I see we love dogs, SW-E-E-T!

I can’t get the Gravitar to work for me? Worry about it when I get back from Florida. Read ‘simon says’ you can have at him, I’m done. Just telling all to TraveLight. Liz, give us a word of wisdom, for next week. All is working on the confusion, typical crazy folks out there.
As far as 10 questions, Obama would receive a minus F. Everything is above his pay grade, which is out of $ight. Money flows fast and deep with Hussien Obama, bloody money changers that is and the tables will turn.

Why does Senator Obama advocate a surge of troops in Afghanistan though he considers a surge of troops in Iraq to have been a mistake? -Iraq is not a legal war, and thus we should give it over to our nato allies as they have requested us many times.

Why is a stable Afghanistan crucial to US interests while a stable Iraq is not? -Same answer as above, also, our ability to “stabilize” is suspect as we haven’t “stabilized any country we’ve been in since ww2, except korea.

How long does Senator Obama expect to keep troops in Afghanistan? -Good question, no idea, but 1 war is still better then 2.

Why is an open-ended commitment in Afghanistan manageable while the same in Iraq is not? -I think this is out of context, open ended commitments isn’t exactly what obama is out there for.

How much does Senator Obama expect to spend rebuilding Afghanistan? -good question, I would venture to say more then 1 dollar, and less then 10 billion a month.

Why is rebuilding Afghanistan affordable while rebuilding Iraq is not? Because instead of doing any real help in Iraq, we’ve been supporting and arming 3 different sects that absolutely hate eachother.

Why does Senator Obama consider the ethno-sectarian issues in Iraq to be nearly intractable while in Afghanistan they are something we can overcome? Well afghanistan is largely homologous, mostly sunni muslims, in iraq, it is actually the opposite, and since much of the world on that side of the world actually hate shiite muslims, they will have foreign incursions for the forseeable future.

If leaving Iraq will make the Iraqi government behave more responsibly, how will an increased presence in Afghanistan affect the Afghan government? -good question, no idea.

Why does Senator Obama advocate a “surge in diplomacy” and multilateralism in Iraq while simultaneously advocating unilateral action in the Pakistani tribal areas? -This is a misnomer, he advocated diplomacy first, then a strike, which is exactly the way things should be handled, but in all likelyhood osama bin ladin is dead and has been for quite some time, so, lacking an osama to attack, there would be no reason for conflict.

How large of a “residual force” will be left in Iraq and for how long? -a good question, but it can be answered pretty simply, more then 0, less then are there right now.

Simon and Super Ultra Patriot- I know the media wants us to believe that there were no WMD’s found in Iraq. My buddy, a Marine and one of the first in Iraq with his unit uncovered many warheads buried in the desert. Although Iraq did not have the long range down, same with Iran; they still posed a threat to national security, same as Iran.
I know it’s easy to be a liberal dumbass and think the world wants to live in peace. If you would just pull your head out of your ass for 5 seconds you would realize there cannot be peace without war.

Carolyn, thanks! That’s my little infidel pit bull! You should see my hands and arms from her going at me.

• Michale

you said "you would realize there cannot be peace without war." Yes, the second world war certainly gave us alot of peace now didn't it…hellooooooooo…war jennyjen simplies lead to more war. The killing has to stop, we are nothing more than fleas in the Universe, and the use of some 'god' out there is even more sickening, all this 'war' and killing is man made, through Ignorance. There is no god, so put the blame where it belongs on ignorant humans, once step out of the cave.
