Even Newt Gingrich (who I wish was running for Prez) has said, repeatedly, that the quickest way to get oil prices to drop like a stone is to release 25% of the oil reserve and to start drilling in all the presently forbidden places. Independence from foreign oil is imperative to our economy. The Dems aren’t the only dumbasses, the GOP had the opportunity to turn this around when they controlled congress, but they didn’t want to get beat up cause that ain’t “PC” and the Sierra club would have a hissy fit.
