Be it by land, sea, or air, THAT is the mission of the United States Military. They are killers. But not in the sense that that Murtha said. Our Country has become too feminized. The object in war is too kill the enemy and break his will. Calling the Marines "Murderers" is far from correct. They are simply killing the enemy before they are killed themselves. It seems the far left believe it's the job of the Military to hand our candy. The job of the Military is simple,  hand our bullets and bombs, and they should do it every day non stop. When the Marines get shot at, I could care less about the age or gender of the enemy. If they are a 35 year old man, or a 8 year old girl, the end result should be the enemy in a body bag, not us. It is the job of the Marines too eradicate the enemy. They are killers.
