Video: FoxNews interviews Hamas leader’s son who converted to Christianity

by Infidelesto on August 11, 2008 · Comments

As reported earlier, Masab Yousef, son of West Bank Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef, the most popular figure in Hamas, a young man who assisted his father for years in his political activities, became a Christian, moved to California, and boldly agreed to a Foxnews Interview.

Kind of hard now for his family to keep denying it like they did recently even when the son goes on national TV and publicly denounces his own family.

"They cannot take my soul."  Such gentle, yet powerful, words... words of peace.   This man's soul has witnessed the difference between love and hate.  To every man's soul, it is obvious, yet the enemy of our souls distracts, confuses, and deceives.

Many Biblical patriarchs such as Moses and Paul (formerly Saul) speak of the same pain that Joseph (formerly Yusef) feels about losing his family.  I, too, have lost my family and feel that pain over becoming a Christian.  I understand Joseph's pain.  But better than I, Jesus Himself identifies with the same kind of pain... over mankind for rejecting Him.  He knew that if He experienced it, we would too, for family members and friends who refuse Christ's message of love.  He knew that, like Him, we would be scorned, shunned, blamed, accused, slandered, tortured, and killed for simply believing the good news... for choosing LOVE rather than hate.

My prayers are with Joseph and all those who may or may not understand... may God have mercy on us all, and may we allow God to teach us to walk in His Love and remember Joseph's words... "They cannot take my soul."

This is possibly the news of the year!  What strength of character...what courage...I am truly amazed and thankful to God for his grace and mercy.
  • Ditto Tonto:  This would take good courage and I am grateful for this powerful witness.

This young man has the guts that so many lack.  I have a suspicion that there are MANY who would love to follow his example but are afraid to.  So much apostasy is occurring in Iran that there are mullahs who have publicly complained of it.  I suspect it is also happening elsewhere. God bless this young man and his courage!
