Quote of the day

Do you like this story?

“Senator Obama is not interested in the politics of hope, he’s interested in his political future and that’s why he’s hurling in insults and making up facts about his record.

Today, he claimed that the Congressional stimulus package was his idea. That’s news to those of us in Congress who supported it. Senator Obama didn’t even show up to vote.

He talks a tough game on the financial crisis, but the facts tell a different story. Senator Obama took more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than anyone but the chairman of the committee they answer to. And he put Fannie Mae’s CEO, who helped create this problem in charge of finding his Vice President. That’s not change, that’s what’s broken in Washington.

He talked about siding with the people, siding with the people, just before he flew off to Hollywood for a fundraiser with Barbra Streisand and his celebrity friends. Let me tell you, my friends, there is no place I’d rather be, than here, with the working men and women of Ohio. I’m going to fight for you and together we’re going to win in November.” — John McCain

And here’s the video if you wanna watch:

Senator Obama hardly ever voted, he would show up and say present. It’s like he treated his time in the senate as I treated my senior year of high school. I was present, but I didn’t get a damn thing accomplished, just drank til graduation :)

Obama’s connections to Fannie and Freddie are well known.  However, they pale in comparison to McCain’s …

This is a meaningless jesture, 95% of congress is on Fannie and Freddie’s payroll.  Once again, this just goes to show that winning an election has less to do with whats important, and more to do with pointing out your opponents faults.

Zhann…Mother Jones is such an unbiased place to get your facts. What a joke. I watched the news today and there were Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Chris Dodd saying how desperate the situation is. How dare they, when they are responsible for stalling oversight and regulation for years. I wanted to shoot my tv. People need to go to prison, starting with the heads of the companies, then whoever committed fraud in our government. Will it happen…I doubt it. Democrats run the congress, and they will never investigate themselves. So we taxpayers can just cough up a trillion dollars to cover their asses. How wonderful!
