Under islamic law in the 90′s Afghan girls were prohibited from going to school. America made it possible for them to do so after 9/11. The Taliban, who are muslims, love blowing up those schools.
In Saudi, under islamic law, the muttawa chose to prevent firefighters from going into a burning girls’ school and prevented the girls from escaping because they were not wearing a niqab and/or abbayat

1) The Taliban only banned school for girls during the early part of their revolution. During the last several years of their rule, when the country had quieted down, girls’ schools (not co-ed schools, mind you) flourished to the extent that they can ever flourish in a country strangled by international sanctions. This has been confirmed by all non-biased observers of the country; in fact, according to the UNICEF report there were more girls in schools in the last year of the Taliban’s complete rule than there have been in any year since. The crap that is generally placed at the end of every “mainstream” news article about the Taliban banning girls school, is government fed propoganda that some morons *ahem* are to gullible to investigate and debunk.
2) Saudi Arabia is not under “Islamic law” anymore than Pakistan or Nigeria or any of the tens of countries that pay lip service to Islam in their constitutions. Saudi Arabia is an old-school monarchy, plain and simple; the ruling dynasty of which was put in power by the colonial british. Iran is ruled by Shias- those guys are nuts, the rest of the Muslims don’t accept whatever they do as Islam. Actually, it seems that you have not read his words, or not correctly anyway, since you are making accusations against Jesus based on things he never said. Can you show me any place in the new testament account of Jesus’s life on this earth where he claims to be God or orders his followers to worship him?
In fact, he states unambiguously, many times, that he is the Son of Man, that he does “nothing of his own power,” but it is through the power of the Father of us all, in heaven, that he performed those miracles you mentioned. When he is questioned about what the first commandment of all is, he does not say, “for there are three that they record in heaven…” rather he says, “the Lord thy God is ONE.” So if you want to believe insane things about Jesus, I won’t stop you, but don’t accuse Jesus of having committed blasphemy. He was a great, pious man, he would never have said the things you accuse him of saying.

Let’s see, there is the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. The Holy Trinity, sound familiar?? He never claims to be God, he is the Son of God and only by accepting Him as your savior can you find God and be accepted into His Kingdom.

Jennyjen I have no doubt that is what you believe, but is that what Jesus the Son of Man believed and preached? He did not ever say “there are three that bear record in heaven…,” according to your own record of his life. As for his saying that he is the Son of God, there are hundreds of people in the Bible who are referred to as “Sons of God.” It means that that person is very pious and close to God, the Father, in a figurative sense.
In fact, when Jesus is questioned by the Jews on the “porch of Solomon” about this, he says to them “Is it not written in your book, ‘Ye are Gods’?” In other words his saying he was the Son of God was not any claim to divinity, it was a common usage throughout the bible for people who were close to God.
(By the way, do you know that the passage about the “father, the son, and the holy ghost” has been thrown out of the latest versions of the bible since it does not appear in any of the manuscripts before the 8th century?)
As for me I have already accepted Jesus Christs words as the truth, I believe in the one and only God, indivisible, who never sleeps or dies-as Jesus ordered me to believe. And I have followed the one whose coming was prepared for by Jesus’s leaving- the Comforter who has explained the book to us in totality.

Mark 16: 6-18: Jesus was never killed nor crucified, so it is no wonder  that those people saw him alive.

Luke 1: 29-37: Again was it necessary for the Holy Spirit to have sex with Mary? No, for as the angel explains, Elizabeth and others who were also not physically able to have children also gave birth by the power of God.
Luke: 21: 25-28: Yes, we also believe that Jesus, the Son of Man will come again.

John 3: 16-18 : Again, see above about Sons of God in the Bible. Also, this “most famous verse in Christendom” is a disputed verse with many Christian biblical scholars throwing it out as a fabrication and ending the passage after verse 15. Clearly, it is most famous because it seems to say what you want to hear, not because it is very authenticated.
John 3:31: Again, not Jesus’s own words, and a very ambiguous statement in any case.
John 5: 19-27 : Key phrases: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself,” “And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man,” 

Again I say, in summary, if the main point of Jesus’s message was his own Divinity, would he not have stressed that and told it to the people? Instead, he does not say anywhere, in your own record, explicitly, that he is Divine or that they should worship him. Actually, he says again and again the the God who sent him and gave him authority to do miracles and protection, and to whom he cried out on the cross, is the one who should be worshipped.
And that is what I do. I do not associate any partners with the one God. I have accepted Jesus Christ. Have you?

It is true that the Bible is open to interpretation, however, there should not be any need for interpretation on such a fundamental aspect of your religion. In Islam, for example, the fundamental creed is that God is one; hence you will find in the Qur’aan hundreds of explicit, unambiguous statements to this effect. In the sayings of Muhammad, everytime he went to see some people he would exhort them first to unify God, and so you will find this thousands of times in his sayings. So my question is, if the basic, fundamental message of Jesus was that, “there are three that bear record in heaven, the father the son and the holy ghost” why did he forget to mention this explicitly and unambiguously at any time in his stay on this earth? The thing I find incredible is that, instead of that, the Bible is just as full as the Qur’aan of explicit, unambiguous declarations of the oneness and uniqueness of God, and yet you still persist on your misinterpreted beliefs.
(BTW, with regards to crucifiction I was first mentioning the Muslim belief, and then showing how this contradiction exists even in this story of your Bible that he is on the cross and crying “my God, my God”. But the whole problem is, I can’t because your country will not let any country with true Sharia law exist in peace. Afghanistan was one of those countries, and you used the excuse of a single man in that country to invade and prevent them from living in peace (of course, even before that you forced the rest of the world to impose sanctions on the country for years). Somalia was another example, where for 16 years while the country was ruled by anarchy the US paid no attention; as soon as Sharia law was established and stability achieved, SUDDENLY there were dangerous terrorists hiding in the country that nothing short of an invasion could bring to justice. Where were those terrorists the previous 16 years? Where are they now? Another example: In Iraq when the referendum was being held on the constitution and there was talk that the people would vote for Sharia law to be established by the constitution, Paul Brenner said explicitly that even if the people voted for that, the US would not allow it. In Palestine, Hamas was elected democratically on the platform of bringing Sharia law to end the corruption of the US-backed government. Your government promptly sanctioned them.

Actually, Liz, England is not much different than here in the US. They are a few decades ahead in terms of development, but we have a lot of such Muslim-only areas here as well. That’s actually why we stay here and not go back to some country with a majority Muslim population. But it’s still not sufficient, because while we can individually live according to Shariah, if the societal laws are not enforced a lot of the benefits are missing. So no, England is no good, and those countries in socialist Europe are no better than the US in that respect either. Don’t you know the US welcomes us with open arms too? America has the death penalty for treason, which is what apostasy is in a society where every muslim has full, transparent access to the government. Hands and feet are not cut off petty criminals, they are cut off of people that thieve with no excuse (i.e. they are not starving) above a certain amount. The result of this law is a society in which .001% of people are without a hand, and the rest of the society lives in complete security from any kind of theft, from shoplifting to robbery. Compare that to your society, in which more than 25% by population cycles through the jail in a year, and in spite of all that punishing and ruined lives by jail records, every store owner in America has a part of their budget allotted for the expected losses due to shoplifting, employee stealing, and robberies.
The point is, we don’t care what you do, just let us live under the law we want to live under. As long as you don’t do that, we will continue to fight for that freedom. And you have NO RIGHT to complain that WE are violent for attacking you. we have had several suicide bombers blowing themselves up in the uk. 28 people were killed on a bus in london. Last year three moslems tried to blow up 3 seperate underground trains, with home made bombs.
more recently we have had moslem lunatics setting bombs outside night clubs and driving an explosive loaded car into Glasgow airport, trying to kill everyone in there.
the one thing that connects all these monsterous attacks is that they were moslems trying to murder as many people as possible in suicide attacks.

they had filled cars with large canisters of camping gas. they then wrapped them around with nails. And put in large containers of petrol. there were four different cars I believe (not including the suicide ram raid in glasgow)

the bombs were to be set off by detonators connected to mobile phones. they never went off, because having not opened the windows in the cars, there was not enough oxygen for the various agents to ignite.
