Interfaith Dialogue, What is it Good for?

As I am doing my research on the issue of Islam I sometimes come across articles speaking about interfaith dialogue. Interfaith sounds well and good but the question is what are the actual results of these meetings? Most recently there was a world wide interfaith conference sponsored by the Christian oppressing Saudis. As for Jewish people, they are not even allowed in Saudi Arabia. Just weeks later those same Saudis had over a dozen Christians deported from Saudi Arabia. The horrifying crime of these Christians was worshipping in their homes. This past September 25Th there was an interfaith dinner with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that took place in NYC. The dinner was to break the Ramadan fast. How any self respecting person can sit and eat dinner with the President of Iran is beyond me, let alone Christians and Jews. The Iranian President has a clear agenda that is no one is going to change. He recently has stated that Israel will not survive in any shape or form and the Iranian government has recently voted in a bill calling for the death penalty of those that leave Islam for another religion. Talking to this so called man will not change a thing and it is a complete lesson in denial for those that extend their hand to him.

Let us look at three so called “moderate” Islamic countries, starting with Jordan. The Jordanian government prohibits conversion from Islam and the proselytizing of Muslims. The government there has been enforcing this law, as they have recently arrested eight Evangelists for this offense.

Secondly is our so called “ally” Egypt who we support by giving them $3 billion dollars a year. Coptic Christians have been persecuted there for centuries and most recently the Egyptian police themselves violently stopped Christians there from rebuilding the only Church in their area. The police even went so far as to hit three women who were helping with the repairs.

The third so called “moderate” Islamic country that I will address today is Turkey. A September report shows that the Turkish army has been following Christian missionaries in Turkey and recording their every move. This is clearly an act of intimidation. It is also clear that only one group benefits from interfaith dialogue and interfaith dialogue only has one result, that is Islam advancing in our societies. It is time to stop pretending and start protecting. Protecting the lives of our future generations. It is time for a call to end all Mosque construction and all Muslim immigration.

    M I,
    <div>   Your Muslims brothers are the ones who are voting the Muslim Broterhood into office. They are one who persecute the Coptics there. So save the excuses.</div>
    <div>
    </div>
    <div>Like I said let us know when non-Muslims are considered equals in the Islamic world.</div>
  • Any way I just wanna thank u all for responding to my posts, and believe me again that it is easy to have a stereotype but i am sure that it is difficult to change it

    thanks
    have a nice weekend, and forgive me if i seemed offensive to anyone
  • let me tell u that the moslem brothers u talk about have no power even to change some trivel things in the egyptian community
  • Chris
    When there is a problem that is what needs to be focused. The Muslim Brotherhood controls all most 25% of the seat in the govt there. That is all that needs to be know about the people there.
    <div>The Coptics I know lived there and my friend went there. Yes Chrisitians have been persecuted for centuries there.</div>
    <div>
    </div>
    <div>
    </div>
  • Chris
    I have spoken to many Coptics who used to live there and I can see how they are treated. So save the smokescreen. It is the Islamic world that has to change, so go back there and let us know when it does.

  • Chris, I have read the link u posted here, believe me this is only a kind of strong focus on a bad point just to help soneone's agenda. concerning dealing from police in Egypt, u r not gonna believe me if i say they deal more badly with muslims( i mean the ones u call extremists ) than christian. have u ever lived there to judge? I dont think, people have a lot ofr stereotypes, believe me things are not like this

    what i do consider a threat is the litter bins being dug up and replaced with bomb proof boxes with information screens directing us away from the blast site.
    Muslims in general are liars. All in all, out and out.
    The sooner Islam is downgraded from a Religion, which it is not, to a political organisation, which it is, and outlawed as an illegal organisation the better.

    Joan
  • First I am so sorry if u considered it Joan a veiled threat to you, when i said it i never meant this, any way I was just trying to remove some misconceptions, For Chris, you should know more about people before judging them and thanks for calling me liar, I am not that person who lies to defend his ideas
  • Chris
    Joan,
    <div>   Muslims should be talking to other Muslims about changing things. Them talking to us accomplishes nothing.</div>
  • @M Ibrahim:

    Posting of "essays" and "long articles" are not allowed. Paste a link, that is all.
  • M Ibrahim,
       The Coptics are treated like dirt there and it is nearly impossible to obtain a permit to build a Church.
    As for the repairs.
    http://islaminaction08.blogspot.com/2008/08/egypt-police-prevent-copts-from.html

    The majority of the Egytpian people support the pro-Sharia terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood. The sooner the US ends all aid to them the better.

    You see all, i just had to get up out of bed again. I just knew it.

    I will try not to be hopeless like this, but alas, it is experience you see. so you think things are going to be worse, now you see that sounds like a veiled threat to me.
    Now since we are all so lovey dovey and all the rest of it, a little bird has told me today that in London, the litter bins are being dug up and replaced with ones that are bomb proof and can take 75%of a bomb blast and on the side of the bins are information screens that will direct people away from the blast site and give information on points to get too were help will be.
    Now i accept i am a bit ignorant so can someone help me out here ? I we are all OK and needing interfaith dialouge then it is escaping me as to why this is all going on.
    And furthermore you can stick your paper.

    Joan
  • M Ibrahim,
      When the Islamic world allows equal status to non-Muslims let us know.
  • dear moderator, why did u get my paper away , I think it has a lot of ideas could be helpful here
  • dear Joan, dont be hopless like this, what do u think if we forget about dialouge at all, I think things r gonna be worse, so let dialogue go on and if it achieved 1% of its goal, i feel it is better than nothing, and believe me It is gonna achieve a lot if we are really so serious in it

    thanks
  • both sides have some   degree of ignornace which leads to that hatred, I think if you read my paper here, u r gonna quielty for sure know what is my thinking is, dear infidelesto, my true religion of Islam orders my to not hate people because they are not mulsim -even a lot of situations from the life of the prophet Muhammad examplify how he a had a lot of treatment and dealings with christians and jews-   as also I am quite sure that in the bible a lot of verses urges christians to love people whatever their religion is.

    Any way i am so happy now, as practically we are in dialogue now
    thanks
  • Joan
    I see what is going to happen here, all nice to start off with, then when we do not fall for all this we are really all at a love in stuff it will turn nasty.
    Now if i had 10 million like those two robbing Muslim twins had that just won that so called race and religion case i would bet that when i wake up bright and early tomorrow this thread will be a slanging match.
    This interfaith dialouge will not work.
    Now i want you all to remember that ignorance is the core of all hatred.

    Goodnight and good luck with that one.

    Joan
  • @M Ibrahim:

    "ignorance is the cause of hatred"

    I sure hope you're talking about the radical Islamists and not us.
  • Hey Tonto, I mean all these meaning you said, whenever there is something inside the church needs renewing, they do it. the idea is that Tonta is the bad routine beaurocratic system we have in our Arab countries, I asure you we have the same procedures as muslims in Egypt whenever we want to do the same thing with the mosques. Even in the last few years they spped those procedures with churches avoiding things to be interpreted in this misconceptual way

    Thanks
  • I think it is better to take things seriously, I completely say what I am quite sure of, and buy the way I study here Interfaith dialogue. look friend, things are not that what do you think, our human nature always tends to overgeneralize and exagerate, believe be ignorance is the cause of hatred. Understanding the other needs a great deal of effort, and the first point in it is the respect

    thanks an any way for your reply
  • Tonto
    M Ibrahim, do you mean renewed as rebuilt or repaired,  or do you mean that a church must have a special permit just to be a church?
    I'm going to call my Baptist Preacher buddy and ask what permits Churches have to have in the US.
  • @M Ibrahim:

    Churches have to be "renewed" in Egypt? lol, that explains it all!
  • Hey guys, I wanna start here by something so important ( ignorance is the core cause of hatred) I am Egyptian but now I am in US for only three months, I assure you that we have in Egypt a lot of churches and they could be renewed without any problems. I think that dialogue is really important now.
  • Chris
    CM,
       That is the point from the Christian and Jewish side, but obviously Muslims do not care as nothing is changing for the better.
  • CM
    Perhaps the point of inter-faith meetings is to try to put a halt to all the terrible examples of oppression you listed in your blog. Just perhaps.
  • Thanks Tonto,
        The problem is that so many people do not want to learn. They just attack those that bring up the issue of Islam and will not even read the articles.
  • Tonto
    Roger that Chris, and welcome to this site.  It sounds like you have much knowledge to share and I'm looking forward to your input.  I don't mind learning at all from persons that know their stuff.
  • Tonto,
        By buying Saudi oil we are paying for our own demise as they just take the money and invest it in Mosques across the world that preach hate towards non-Muslims. We should be drilling wherever we can and building nuclear power plants like France has. France now gets almost 80% of their electricity from nuclear plants.
  • Tonto
    The most pitiful thing that has happened since 9/11 is that there is now a huge rift between the muz portion of the human race and the rest of us.  Is that divide totally insurmountable?  Is meaningful dialogue impossible?  Is any sort of accomodation,  amenable to all parties, even possible, knowing what we know now?  The arabs and iranians that have oil have a huge advantage.  How will they use that advantage to force their views on others (and I'm sure they will)?  China emerging and getting deep into the middle east is interesting, to say the least.  China could give lessons in shifty diplomacy to anyone in the world.......they certainly have a longer history than anyone else.  In my view, American diplomats (appointed political suck-ups for the most part) don't have a clue, and prove it.  The reps from most religions may enter any "Interfaith dialogue" with hopeful views, but I'm sure they will be swiftly dissuaded.  I'm quite certain that any muz vs. "other" discussion will be a simple "rule giving" by the muz fanatics.  In other words, do this our way or else.  Maybe that's how they will use their oil power.  Failing oil power, there's always terror to use as a threat, and the oil sheeks sure have the money to support that.  Think about all that money, US money spent on oil, to the tune of $300 BILLION per year.  We all need to get McCain/Palin in there and "Drill baby Drill"!  Fuck Obama and the socialist libtard democrats!
  • Interfaith dialogue is syncretism with the twist of empowering and emboldening the Moslems.
  • jennyjen
    They diddle little boys and camels too, don't forget that George!  Inter-faith dialogue my white ass! It's a slap in the face of every peaceful, practicing Christian and Jew for Saudi Arabia and Iran to act as if they do no wrong. Of course in the Islam mindset, they are in the right. But according to human rights groups and every logical person on the face of the earth they are barbaric and a plague of sorts.
    I'm totally down with Ender's demolition idea, we can start in the South and work our way up. It's time to deal with these fools in the only way the understand- KABOOM!
  • GeorgeOfTheJungle
    Inter-faith dialogue??? What is islam doing in an inter-faith dialogue? What is Saudi Arabia doing sponsoring a so-called inter-faith dialogue? Saudi Arabia does nto even allow one church to be built within its borders - is this true inter-faith?
    Islam is NOT a religion, it is not even a faith, it is an archaic death cult, whose followers believe in the psychotic and lunatic ravings of a bloody camel driver/bandit who also liked to diddle little girls. What are sane and normal people doing following such a cult? The mind boggles.
    When, Oh when, are the civilized countries of the west going to wake up and see the lying (Taqqiya) for what it is, and see islam for what it is - an evil and dangerous political ideology that hides under the shredded curtain of a so-called religion that was begun 14 hundred years ago by a barbaric pedophile. The west has to wake up, otherwise it will be too late and then the bloodbath will begin.
  • Hi ender,
       I see it everyday with the liberals and their it won't happen here. Well the Middle East did not become Islamic overnight either. Unless opposed Muslims takeover wherever they go. That is what they do. So it is best to keep them out of non-Islamic countries.

    Thanks for the welcome.

    Oh yea, Italy would be the place to go. They are kicking Islamic ass over there.
  • ender
    lets be equal, they can have as many mosques in America as they have christian church's in saudi arabia.  oopps guess we need to start some demolition to catch up.

    and yes, the UK is finished but people here still say, "oh that wont happen here".  I like to call these people morons.  they can't connect the dots, know anything of history and can't actually form an original thought in their head.  the result of our liberal, everyone pass, don't hurt their feelings education system.

    oh, and welcome to the party, sometimes it feels like a party on the Titantic, no keep on dancing and drinking this ship can't sink.  only problem now is, even if you get in a lifeboat, where are ya going to go?
  • Lol!! That's cool. The mindset is if we mind our own business. Then they will leave us alone does not work. They are coming for us no matter what we do. I have been saying for years to US citizens, that we need to look towards the UK to see what is coming our way.
    Chris
  • Chris just to fill you in, every now and then I'm make and insane Arabic name and end it with (Jeff) just for the heck of it to fool some people. The "New Addition" comment is mine lol.  On  a more serious note, the "Western mindset" must change, and not for Obama. We're headed down a road that Lebanon went down, and the road that Britain is going down now. You take care Chris. Tell it like it is.
  • Chris
    HI Jeff,
      Thanks for the welcome. I am grateful to be able to work with the other infidels who run this site.

    Hamas and Hezbollah are masters of hunda, and the world continually falls for it.
  • Interfaith dialogue ?
     It's simple. We talk, they kill us.
    Hudna =  A hudna [also known as a hudibiyya or khudaibiya] is a tactical cease-fire that allows the Arabs to rebuild their terrorist infrastructure in order to be more effective when the "cease-fire" is called off."

    We talk, they kill us. Kinda simple. Welcome aboard for real this time Chris. I am without a doubt a "Infidels are cool addict". One of the best sites on the web.
    Jeff
