Neighbour ‘carried head on bus’

A man accused of killing his neighbour carried the dead man’s head on a bus before dumping it in a canal, the Old Bailey has heard.

The court heard Mohammed Boudjenane, 46, from Kilburn, north London, hit Lakhdar Ouyahia, 43, on the head with an object believed to be a claw hammer.

Earlier he allegedly raped a woman at his flat and beat her after abducting her as she made her way to church.

Mr Boudjenane denies murder, false imprisonment and two counts of rape.

The incidents took place in February this year.

William Boyce QC, prosecuting, said Mr Boudjenane told police he had been planning to kill the woman but released her when she agreed to marry him.

“She was very fortunate to escape with her life,” said Mr Boyce.

Within hours he had turned his attentions to fellow Algerian Mr Ouyahia, a meter reader, who lived in the flat above in Kingsgate Road, Kilburn, the court was told.

Mr Ouyahia’s head was said to have been carried in a bag on a bus to the Regent’s Canal at Maida Vale where it was later discovered by police divers.

His body was found wrapped in bedding by a man searching for things to recycle at the back of the Somerfield supermarket in Kilburn.

It was evident an attempt had been made to saw off the limbs, the jury heard.

‘Best enemy’

Mr Boyce said the 42-year-old woman, who had met Mr Boudjenane four months before at a party, was on her way to a church service.

The court heard how Mr Boudjenane had earlier grabbed the woman’s mobile phone from her in the street which he used to lure her into his flat.

He threatened the woman with knives and accused her of sleeping with Mr Ouyahia, who the prosecution described as his “best enemy”.

After shaving her head with an electric razor, he told her she would not need her hair in heaven, the court heard.

Mr Boyce added: “During the period in which she was held captive, the defendant subjected her to a terrifying ordeal.”

“It had been the defendant’s plan to kill her but she talked her way out of it,” said Mr Boyce.

“He was giving her the impression that he was going to kill her.”

The court heard he had said to police: “I wanted to kill her but I killed him.”

The trial continues.

Go on Europe, keep admitting them in unfettered, and unwilling to assimilate into CIVILIZED society. Keep on doing that, and you get more of this savage barbaric behavior seen daily in Iraq, Saudi Barbaria, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

    Basically. Mohammad was born in Mecca, then was forced to leave after tribal elders wanted to destroy him for preaching his new faith and shaking up their society. He fled to Medina, gained a couple of thousand of more followers, fought some battles, acquired more military strength, then went back to Medina and defeated them.

    K, checked out the Jews in Medina and yeah, it was a struggle for power and land in the 7th century. I think we can both agree that Islam does not progress well seeing as they are still carrying on a fight that was picked in the 7th Century. Best I can tell from the PBS page, the Jews were trying to kill Mohammed for the Meccans who did not trust Mohammed. The Meccans chickened out, left the Jews hanging and Mohammed killed them. So today we see Muslims killing Jews, Jews killing Muslims and extremists calling for the extermination of the Jews and its still about land and a balance of power. What the hell happened to the Meccans? Mecca is Islams holiest site now so I'm gonna take a wild guess and assume Mohammed took it by force.

    Oh, it's not going down with a fight. We are fighting this brand of political Islam in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Philippines, and wherever else it rears its ugly head.

    I agree, they would just be good people as far as we are concerned. But the current state is not we think, it's what the leaders of Islam think. In Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan it's extreme Islam that rules. Martyrdom is achieved by strapping a bomb on and blowing up Jews/Christians/apostates/ even other Muslims who don't practice that type of Islam. It's insanity and it's gone too far to be undone peacefully.

    Hatred, fanaticism, and blind belief were certainly a part of Mohammad's campaign. (He was actually first allied with some Jewish tribes, even learned from them. I forget why he turned against them, but it was definitely not because of their Jewish-ness. PBS article describing Muhammad's relations with Jews in Medina: http://www.pbs.org/muhammad/ma_jews.shtml) To me, this just shows the nature of military campaigns and the quest for power. Jihadists wish to revive this campaign in their own personal quest for power and influence. This is who we are fighting, and this is what we want eliminated. But I'm not convinced this means Islam itself should be abolished as a religion.

    Agree with your last statement, but all those things you allude to (prejudice, hatred, fanaticism, blind belief) are things professed by 'prophet' Muhammad. He was prejudiced against the Jews (even exterminated an entire tribe), hated all who did not submit to his hallucinations (islam), a fanatic (he killed, sometimes by his own hand, anyone who spoke against him), and called for blind belief in the arabian moon-god allah. There is your true enemy, islam. Not the muslims who are simply unfortunate victims of being born to muslim families. I know many, who are muslim on paper only . I also know many who profess that islam is peace, yet say nothing about the jihadists waging their terror campaign across the globe. I also know of many who claim they are peaceful, law abiding and just practicing their religion, but they end up arrested, indicted and/or deported. They are called CAIR.

    I honestly don't know who the true Muslim would be. The KKK thought it was right. Black Liberation Theology teaches that if God himself is white, he must be killed. Which ones are the true Christians? Neither would be my reply but I'd be a "nigger lover" from one side and a "white devil" from the other.  That's the conundrum facing Muslims who don't commit violent acts in the name of Islam. They become, "infidel lovers" perhaps?

    I highly doubt he'll play the religion card. His crime had nothing whatsoever to do with religion.


    I agree that *terrorists* want to destroy the West. All terrorists are Muslim, but not all Muslims are terrorists.

    So we can agree that Islam wants to destroy the West, that's good. Islam isn't  a religion, it's ambition to control the world and make us all submit is terrorism plain and simple. The Imam's are fueling the terrorist by justifying their actions. They say, "don't kill the innocents" what that really means is don't kill the innocent Muslims, infidels/apostates are always guilty.
    As for this guy, he's a Muslim whackjob. Hopefully he will be punished to the full extent of UK law. If he does pull the religion card, we can only hope the pro-Islam groups will leave him to flail in the wind.

    Muslims who mind their own business, practice their religion in private, and have never lifted a finger against anyone will say they are true Muslims. Muslims who have murdered their own sisters for leaving the house without a veil will say they are true Muslims.

    This sounds like a murder of jealousy and not of religious conviction. Totally, totally irrelevant, and does nothing to help the cause.



    The KKK isn't so strong today, but there was a time when their terrorism was rampant in America. And, hopefully there will be a time in the future where terrorism in the name of Islam will be marginalized and diffused.


    But it's such a complicated issue. I don't think Islam is main the reason why these terrorists are doing what they're doing. Religion plays a strong role in the lives of terrorists (understatement), but their true aim is also to destroy America and the "West", so it's one of political power and gain as well.

    The KKK aren't true Christians. So-called moderate Muslims say the extremists aren't true Muslims, but the extremists think they are because they are spreading Islam via the sword, just like Mohammed.
    If he says Allah willed it to him to do, the Muslims will say, "oh, well that's just hunky dory then! Kill some more!"

    Are you saying the KKK are not true Christians? I don't think they would agree with you on that one. Every single Christian in the world thinks he's a true Christian. Even the ones that murder, cheat, steal, and molest.


    I have a feeling that if this story were circulated among a Muslim community, they wouldn't be jumping to this guy's defense.


    News of some random Muslim doing violent things NOT in the name of his religion is totally irrelevant, and, unlike the story of the Taliban murder of a Christian aid worker or stories of people put to death for converting away from Islam, I'm not sure what argument it helps.

    CM, the KKK and other Christian loons are punished and not revered as "heroes". This nutjob will say Allah told him to, get tried in the special Sharia court system that has been set up in the UK and slapped on the wrist and told to pray an additional 10 times a day making him even more useless than what he is now.
    If this was an isolated incident, well it could somewhat compare to crimes committed by Christians in the past say 10 years, I know it's been at least 5 years since I've heard of an abortion clinic bombing. But it's not, this is the shit that goes on day in and day out in Muslim countries by crazed Muslims, it doesn't even shock me for Christ's sake! It's "typical Muslim behavior". And really, the KKK?? When was the last time they were taken seriously? Be real about it, nowadays the KKK ain't to strong and has a sparse membership. How many Muslims are there in this world, more Muslims than KKK members I guarantee it!

    No, but they seem to have the market cornered in exporting it worldwide. You can see attacks perpetrated or called for by muslims, in the name of islam, in Afghanistan, Canada, The US, The UK, France, Jordan, Germany, Australia, Argentina, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Sudan, Chad, Egypt, and the list goes on. The ONLY place to not have suffered this, is Antarctica. Why? No muslims. Go figure.

    Show me proof positive of a TRUE Christian committing a barbaric act like the 12000+ committed by muslims, just since 9/11, and I will condemn it, and the perp will be punished, not celebrated, as muslim terrorists are.
