What would happen if Foxnews had a tape of McCain at a Ku Klux Klan rally and refused to release it? Would there be an outcry?

That’s specifically what Megyn Kelly asks in this video.

And she’s spot on.  The liberal Obama Media would be seething…

“Apparently this is a tape with a dinner that Mr. Ayers, the former, and now still, unrepentant terrorist, who was at, and also the, one of the leading spokespersons for the PLO. Now, why that should not be made public is beyond me,” McCain told La Kalle radio.

“I guarantee you, if there was a tape with me and Sarah Palin and some neo-Nazi or one of those, you think that that tape wouldn’t be made public? Of course, Americans need to know, particularly about Ayers, and also about the PLO. So hopefully there will be enough pressure on the L.A. Times that it’ll come out, but its really unfortunate that we have to go through this,” McCain continued…

Palin said she wants to know how Obama responded to derogatory comments said about Israel and America’s support for its ally during the party.

“Israel was described there as the perpetrator of terrorism instead of the victim. What we don’t know, what we don’t know, is how Barack Obama responded to these slurs on a country that he now professes to support, and the reason is the newspaper that has the tape, The Los Angeles Times, refuses to release it,” she said. “It must be nice for a candidate to have major news organizations looking after his best interests like that.”

So Who is Rashid Khalidi? This pretty much sums it up

People are now offering $150,000 for the tape and McCain and Palin are ripping the LA Times for their irresponsibility.

Hotair adds this:

I was skeptical at first that anything useful would come from it even if it was released, but now that Maverick’s made an issue of it to build suspense, a clip showing The One demonstrating that first-class temperament of his by sitting there placidly while some tool recites a poem “accusing the Israeli government of terrorism in its treatment of Palestinians” would be fun viewing during the run-up to Tuesday. Think of it as a proxy for the Wright attack McCain refuses to make: Same basic parameters — Obama cuddling up to a radical whose criticism of America and its allies is a bit more fragrant than voters are accustomed to — but safely stripped of black/white racial politics and ensconced within a defense of Israel. If the tape surfaces, you won’t need to play connect the dots by bringing up Wright and Ayers. Voters will do it themselves.

I'd like to see the video too, see what all these "derogatory comments" about Israel are.

Hopefully criticizing Israel is not considered an "derogatory slur" now...

    CM,
<div> That is not the point. The point is that the media is protecting Obama while having a field day with McCain and Palin.</div>
  • Gregory
I think that 'CM' is as dim as a nite-light. And he is an anti-semite too.
  • Chris
There was just some guy named CM posting in a British online paper comments section. He was supporting the sharia courts. Is that the same CM?
  • CM
    Gregory-

    lol. I'm not an anti-Semite.
  • CM
    Chris-

I don't think that was me. I'm still reading up on what the ruling on sharia courts actually entails. Like, does it sanction wife-beating under UK law? Does it override UK law? Do Jews and Christians have a similar court system in place?

Fine point about media protection of Obama.
  • Chris
Thats good, and you really should stop comparing Jews and Christians to what Muslims are doing today. All is not equal and the Muslims in the UK are clearly preaching to take over the UK. There was a poll that said 40% of the Muslims there want sharia law. These people should not be rewarded and encouraged. The UK has now opened the door for Muslims across the world to call for this and the UK govt is full of it.
<div>They already have allowed the courts to handle domestice violence and a stabbing. The Muslims will just keep pusing, as the UK govt does not have the guts to confront them.</div>
    <div>
    </div>
<div>Churchill and Thatcher would of never allowed this.</div>

    CM,

I'm a female, by the way. Purposely tried to leave out any trace of my gender, religious beliefs, skin color, area of residence, etc. to keep the conversation focused on facts. It's way too easy to accuse someone of being an "anti-Semite" or a "racist" or a "sexist" during debates in an effort to distract from the facts.
Anyway, hopefully that new fact won't make a difference in what I say, now.

    Chris-

The US. But I like talking about things that are happening "over there," keeps me a little more emotionally distant from the topic.

The only reason why I mentioned Jewish and Christian courts is because, the response of Muslim communities would be, "if Jews and Christians can have their own religious courts, why can't we?"

But even if sharia courts were not formally recognized by the state -- wouldn't those 40% of Muslims who prefer sharia consult with a cleric after disputes anyway? I mean, a Muslim woman beaten by her husband would probably go directly to the imam instead of filing a report with the police.

They want to protect the source of the video tape, so McCain points out, hey just release a transcript. Makes sense to me.
  • Chris
    CM,
<div>     I love following international politics also. Yes the woman would go to the town leader or Imam. But I don't think the West should help them with their sharia dreams at all. It just gives them more power. Look across the world, Muslims have been welcomed everywhere with open arms and they have stabbed every country in the back. From the Middle East, to China, Russia, France, Thailand, India, Phillipines, UK, France etc. They do not deserve to be catered to and looking at the Middle East show us that they do not return the respect. Islam is a one-way street.</div>

I'm sure Fox News has lots of interesting footage of Christians at White Supremicist rallies, of Corporations killing people, of how Conservatives steal from the state, and so on.
