The country has already been run into the ground by George W. Bush - It can only get better.

I believe that the people have wanted a king just as the Israelites wanted a king and got Saul.  We as Christians have lost our way and have been doing church instead of being the church. We got all excited as the election cycle progressed and then the prayer started going up. It is a lifestyle that should be the norm, not the cyclical exception. The tendancy will be to curse the ungodly left wing and the radical man who is now president. We are called to pray for our leaders….good or bad. Our prayers can change things.  My prayer is that God will do whatever it takes in Obama’s life to make him what he claims he is.

America is going into captivity,  we have been given what God thinks we need. What we do in that captivity will determine how long it lasts and how severe it is. Will we complain and curse our enemies? Will we humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord and pray fervantly for those in power? The choice is ours.

On an aside note, we are actually thinking of buying property in Costa Rica or someplace like that where we can actually afford to live on our retirement, and where they don’t tax your brains out. We can pray from anywhere!

Trust me, now that our governemnt has officially put on the leftist goggles, and a near filibuster proof congress to go with it, it can and will get a lot worse.  You haven’t seen nothin yet.  America will look a lot like western Europe in 4 years.  Socialism is as close as it’s ever been in our nation’s history, and the Dems now have their turn to carry it out and there’s nothing we can do about it.

Socialist policies are not for the ordinary person. Tony Blair came to power on a magic carpet in 1997, by 2000 the ordinary and middle classes did not know were to turn, could not pay their mortgage and their houses were taken back without mercy, the ill and disabled made to work with ludicrous policies forcing the termanally ill to answer the phone while waiting to die. Or their benefits stopped.
The liberal left taking legal action against no more than babies for making a comment which was considered racist and in general the ordinary person being silenced and gagged with law after law which has us silent.

when the labour came to power in 1997 they did bring disabled people by bus and taxi to vote for them, which they did.when he got into power after 10 days of being elected he stood up and told those same disabled people that the benefits system used by them, called the Disabled Living Allowance was the most abused in the country and was being targetted by the goverment with immediate effect.
That benefit had been brought in by the conservative government in the 70′s to help those people buy equipment such as wheelchairs etc, previously in the UK that equipment had to be got through the hospital system called an occupational therapist, that ban on the public was lifted called deregulation and disabled people were given a certain amount of money each month to save up and but their own.
Now after 10 days in office labour told those people it was being tightened up and if they had multiple sclerosis and could not work, that was fair enough, but they could still be of some use, they could answer the phone until they died.
These were the people he bused and taxied in to vote him in. Many had their benefit stopped as they were assessed as being able to answer the phone.

I don’t mind my taxes going up (which I know they will under Obama) - As long as I know our currency won’t continue to devaluate as it has been doing under Bush’s regime. This is where we are all indirectly taxed whether we like it or not. All in all, I’ll be better off, and so will you (I take it you don’t pay any taxes anyway – so you’ll probably just end up benefitting more than I do – maybe you’ll even get a job now).

Simon is right on one point, but he didn’t clarify; we have a moral obligation to the disabled who are poor, but not to the able-bodied poor. Socialism is a vast conspiracy between the elite minority Socialist ruling class alongside the non-elite minority recipient class. The Socialist scheme represents unjust government power – power which does not derive from the informed consent of the governed – it is minority rule over the majority. Socialism is the nanny state which will in time become the tyrant state. Socialism is a velvet glove concealing an iron fist.

yes Jefferson had slaves, he bought them from obamas great great great grandfather.
Since slavery at the time wasn’t illeagal, trying to throw that wrench in the mix is a waste of time.  there are lots of things that used to be acceptable and civilization has moved on. 
except of course the 7th century muslims. (imagine if the Amish started up with that kind of attitude).  especially since there is still slavery today in Africa and the middle east, not in America (except when some rich muslims are caught here with them).

Who doesn’t sometimes fail to practice what he/she preaches? The important thing for us is to recognize that Thomas Jefferson and our other Founding Fathers were right when they wrote in the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal.”

Thomas Jefferson knew slavery was wrong, and he began freeing his slaves before he died; and he worked to end the slave trade as well. The issue of slavery had to be left to the next generation of Americans because solving the issue in 1776 would have prevented ratification of the Constitution; and the Constitution had to be ratified for us to defeat the British Empire and become a nation whose main goal was human liberty.

Abraham Lincoln understood that the Declaration of Independence is the highest law of the United States – It trumped the 3/5 law of the Constitution.

It may be worth just keeping a section for the future to list what he does , and how if in any way that helps Muslims. Or how Muslims use it for their own gain.
Now the election is over the world is stuck with him unless he proves he really cannot manage.

Who cares what the founding fathers said?  I’m pretty sure we screwed up their vision of the political system a long time ago, and it was most certainly a joint effort between the Republicans and Democrats.

Obama won, the world is not going to end, Muslims are not going to come into your home and slit your throats, and you aren’t going to be poverty stricken even if your taxes go up another percentage point or two.  The current design of the political system is in place to make sure one party doesn’t have complete control all the time.  If Obama makes things that much “worse,” them he will be voted out in four years.

I was talking to a lady in Wal-Mart today who was buying a 30-30 Remmington.  I told her to buy hell out of ammo now to avoid the sky-high taxes that were coming on guns and ammo.  Also told her to NEVER register the gun.  Registration was the first step in Australia’s illegal confiscation.  Goes for all of y’all too. Oh yeah, the tough times are a-comin’!!!  The socialists are estatic right now about how they’re gunna “fix” the USA.  It’ll be a freakin’ mess.

Well Danial Pipes already proved that he couldn’t even pass the security test to be an FBI agent or even our mail man but people keep ignoring that.  And the birth certificate stuff is ignored now because a democratic judge threw it out of court.
