Iraqi official: Leader of women’s group killed

SULAIMANIYAH, Iraq (AP) — Iraqi police say attackers have decapitated the leader of the women’s league of the Kurdish Communist Party.

A police officer says gunmen on Thursday stormed the Kirkuk home of Nahla Hussein al-Shaly and shot and beheaded her.

The city of Kirkuk lies 180 miles north of Baghdad. The officer who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media.

Party spokesman Azad Gahareeb says the 37-year-old al-Shaly may have been targeted because she promoted women’s rights. He says the married mother of two was alone in the house when she was attacked.

Where is the outrage from all the women’s advocacy groups in the West? Why do they choose to remain silent every time something like this happens?

    there was an honor killing in Atlanta, the feminists didn't say anything, they were to busy suing the city for "men at work" signs that offended them. They will never protest against muslims because muslims kill when they get upset, not roll over and settle a lawsuit to appease the women.

    clue 1: An NHS doctor was imprisoned, drugged, bound and gagged before being forced into marriage in Bangladesh,

    clue 2: held captive for four-and-a-half months by her family and was forced to marry while under the influence of drugs.

    clue 3: Her parents told her they wanted her to wed Dr Khondokar Mohammad Abdul Jalal, whom she had previously declined to marry. (kinda gives it away)

    answer, muslim, but the news article doesn't mention it at all, till you see everyone's names and go "aahhh"

    The Feminist movement has nothing to do with 'rights.' It is all about control, very
    Communistic in nature. They couldn't care less about other women in the world.
    The mere fact that groups like Code Pink spend every day outside the USMC
    recruiting office in Berkeley, CA calling the Marines murderers and baby killers
    tells me they have nothing to do with rights, women's or otherwise.

    "Muslims kill when they get upset". this is the most ridiculous nonsense I have heard in a while, but what can one expect from an ignorant bigot. let's be honest the people who are going around toppling governments and replacing them with puppet dictators, subservient to western and American intrest are not muslims, and nor are the ones invading countries on lies, killing millions. enslaving their populations and stealing their wealth. they are secular colonialist AMERICAN and European Christians.
    Muslims have a right to govern by shria law and not some western construct secular system.

    Boy, oh boy. Islam is an **shole religion. The whole middle east except for Israel, is one big toilet. I wish women had the ability to shut off their ovary glands and stop reproducing. If they could do that, then the whole of the middle east would vanish in just 50 or 60 years. Then, decent human beings could move in.
