Somalia Islamists Execute Politician Accused of “Apostasy”

Another example of what Muslims do with people who reject Islam.

An Islamist militia has executed a Somali politician who they accused of changing his religion by working with non-Muslim Ethiopian forces.

An Islamist spokesman in the port of Kismayo told the BBC that Abdirahman Ahmed was shot dead on Thursday.

Mr Ahmed had worked with Kismayo’s former warlord – the MP Barre Hiraale – who is accused of attempting to retake the city with Ethiopian backing.

He is believed to be the first politician executed by the Islamists.

Ethiopian forces are pulling out of Somalia, two years after they intervened to try to oust Islamists from the capital Mogadishu.

    If apostasy is a crime in the eyes of Islam, does Islam punish those who convert to it?

    I'm sure that a lot of "born" muslims would dump Islam if they could;but the death sanction remains the Koranic instrument to prevent this.
    Curiously even so called moderates don't like being confronted with this"law"when asked if they support this barbarism.
    This is just one of many reasons why Islam should be treated with derision in the hope that its adherents
    will feel embarassment when civilised people question its tennets.

    Come on, you enlightened Muslims, defend this if you dare. Incidents such as these cause the civilised people of the world to look upon you as scum. You were scum; you are scum; and you will always be scum. Just see what happens to you scumbags when you run out of petroleum, or when it is supplanted by new technology. You will have outlived your usefulness, such as it is, and the world will have no cause to continue to pander to you. You'll have to go back to your camels, wandering empty deserts and deriving what solace you can from beating your women and despoiling little girls. And all the while, Israel, land of scholarship, will flourish. Delicious!
