I'll research your points and make my own conclusion.

I will comment on point #2 to the effect that many have echoed Carter's assertion considering foreign attitude (especially ME) toward the US as 'blowback' for US intervention such as placing US military bases within their countries or the covert and overt support for coup's and uprisings such as occurred in Iran in the '50's and with the S. America Contras.

I too am critical regarding point #5, I supported a full military operation against Iran regardless of our former intervention in that country. Just curious have you read any of Terry Anderson's writing on the matter?

That's a lot of spiteful comments about Carter. I cant help but think all the negativity is merely a response to Carters criticism of Israel. Outside of this what have any of you got against him as a President or as a man?

Carter has done more to promote the peace process in the ME than any other former POTUS. I believe he truly cares. He is trying to improve a bad situation amicable to all. He's trying to be a part of the solution -and for that he's slandered.

From my limited knowledge of the American War of Independence, I gather that Arnold was a skilled general who won some famous victories for the American forces, but what has Carter ever done for America? With Carter in charge of the US, the Soviets reached their pinnacle of strength, and America lagged far behind in the deadly game of Balance of Power. But Reagan came along and priced the Soviets out of business, thereby winning the Cold War at a stroke. Quite an achievement. But some people never learn, and continue to regard this peanut vendor as having something of value to say.

Obama says his "recovery plan will include UNPRECEDENTED measures that will allow the American people to hold [his] administration ACCOUNTABLE" yet Obama refuses to be held ACCOUNTABLE to the same American people for his UNPRECEDENTED refusal to show his actual birth certificate.

One country's terrorist group is another country's freedom fighters. Seventy years ago, Jewish fighters in the area known as Trans-Jordan were blowing up buildings and killing British citizens. They were labeled as "terrorists" by the British government and press. Now, they are revered as "freedom fighters" in Israel - fighting for the right to form their own country on foreign soil. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Europeans did the same thing to hundreds of unorganized native tribes who happened to be living in the area now known as the U.S. The difference is, we (our early European settlers) succeeded in killing off enough of the natives and confining the few that remained in separate reservations. Back then, we didn't have to worry about world opinion or neighboring countries, hostile to our land occupation. We also didn't have our massacres broadcast on You-Tube. If only Israel could have done the same thing - push all the remaining people into a confined area and starve them to death, without having to worry about that pesky internet or world opinion. It's interesting that when the tables are turned and the question is asked of Israeli citizens, "What would you do, if you were pushed out of land you were living in and confined, under complete economic strangulation, with all borders sealed in a much smaller piece of land?" Many reply, "I'd do exactly what Hamas is doing". Please don't be so naive to think people aren't going to resist being uprooted, encircled, and forcibly cut-off from the rest of the world. Hamas is the natural result - A Resistance Movement. It will only grow fiercer as their imprisoned area is further destroyed. Israel has only two choices: accept Hamas as the viable political and social will of the people and negotiate directly with them or simply kill off the remaining 1.5 million people and be done with the problem. Of course, you'll probably need to exterminate the remaining 2.5 million in the West Bank, as they could be a little outraged. But, after the first million, the killing gets easier.
