Today’s moment of “DUH!” is being brought to you by Pakistan.

Islamabad admits for the first time that Mumbai attacks were planned in Pakistan

Pakistan’s interior minister says that part of the planning for the attacks was done by Pakistani citizens, together with members of the extremist group Lashkar-e-Taiba. Six suspects in custody, connections to Spain and Italy.

Islamabad (AsiaNews/Agencies) – Pakistani interior minister Rehman Malik admitted today, for the first time, that “some part of the conspiracy related to the [November 26] Mumbai attacks was planned in Pakistan.” At least 6 people believed to be involved have been arrested, and 2 more are being sought, but the investigation is ongoing and further developments are not ruled out.

It is said that some of the conspirators could be members of the outlawed extremist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, including Zia-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and Zarrar Shah, who sent “an e-mail claiming responsibility for the attack.” Shah has been in jail since December.

Those under arrest also include Hamad Amin Sadiq, considered the “main architect” of the plot, who arranged the transfer of money used for the attacks, and Javed Iqbal, an expert in internet technology living in Barcelona. The money came from Spain and Italy, and SIM telephone cards from Austria and India were used. Also in jail is the person who sold the boat engine used by the attackers to reach Mumbai by sea.

India immediately accused Pakistani extremists for the attacks, which caused 183 deaths. This has produced significant tension, partly because Pakistan initially denied any responsibility. There is also disagreement between the two countries because India is asking for the extradition of those who may be responsible, while Pakistan is saying that it intends to try them on its own soil.

There is no official comment yet from India, whose ambassador in Islamabad replied that he has not yet received “the official report” from the Pakistani government.

That took some guts, and you have to respect the Pakistanis admitting they have a bit of a jihad problem on their hands.

Dang Beej, you ain't kiddin'....you got it in here 4 times. I'm a combat vet Beej. I been where the bullet hits the bone. I never went out there with the idea that I was going to kill everything that moved just because it was moving....and I had reason. Killing ain't the hard part, it being discriminating about it that's hard. These idjits got the crazy idea that they got God's permission, cause some bearded moron gave them the OK and they bought it. Nobody is that dumb to actually believe that God told them it's OK to kill a bunch of folks and not be totally nuts...I really have a problem with these muz people.

Sorry to have sent you the same message numerous times, Tonto, but I seem to be having trouble getting messages posted.

You can never understand it, Tonto, because you are using the logic of a fair-minded, reasoning, considerate person, while the perpetrators of such horrors have a different view of the world. You see people as people, however misguided they might be, but Muslims look upon those not of their faith as lesser beings, unworthy of consideration. They expect the world to bend over backwards to accommodate them, but they will never yield an inch, so their religion advances like a spreading cancer. They will never change, so don't try to understand them. Fight the bastards.

You will never understand, Tonto, the actions of these people or make sense of their logic because you consider the matter from the point of view of a reasonable, caring, educated person, while Muslims, after a lifetime of indoctrination of the precepts of Mohammed, pigshit be upon him, take a different view of the world. To you, people are people, but Muslims regard non-Muslims as inferior beings to be treated in any way they wish. Muslims demand fullest consideration from others, but they have no sense of reciprocity. Don't waste your energy trying to make sense of these vermin: battle the obnoxious swine.

You never will understand it, Tonto, because you are applying the logic of a civilised, fair-minded person, but Muslims think differently. To you, a human is a human, but to a Muslim, non-Muslims are lesser mortals whom they can treat abominably, so ingrained are the precepts of Mohammed, may pigshit be upon him. Muslims demand to be treated with respect, but have no concept of reciprocity.

You'll always fail to find the logic behind it, Tonto, because you are thinking about it from the point of view of a reasonable, educated, fair-minded person who looks upon people as people, but Muslims do not and, as a result of their life-long brainwashing in the precepts of Mohammed (pigshit be upon him), cannot think this way. They see non-Muslims as inferior beings - something akin to thinking cattle - who are unworthy of respect or consideration, so actions of this nature are grist to their mill. Muslims demand that we treat them with respect and afford them all the benefits our society has to offer, but the concept of reciprocity is foreign to them.
  • The ideology is similar in some ways to that of Bushido. But instead of having to kill yourself, you kill someone else. Much more convienent.

Very interesting debate, about the Shame culture and the projection of that shame on Jews, Christians and Hindus among others.

Every time I read an article like this one, the question that enters my mind is "What the hell is wrong with these murderous pukes?" How is it that lunatics plan, arm and go out with the idea of killing innocent people en masse? There is no logic, no sanity in such an action. I just can't wrap my mind around how this is possible and what could motivate it.
