US Intel Predicts Israel-Iran War in 2009

by Infidelesto on February 14, 2009 · Comments

It doesn’t ake a US intelligence chief to predict this one.  We’ve seen this coming for years now.  Unfortunately for Israel, they will be on their own due to the pathetic Jimmy Carter redux Obama administration.

The US intelligence chief reportedly expects Israel and Iran to engage in a major military confrontation before the end of the year.

Dennis Blair, the newly-appointed head of US intelligence, said Tel Aviv will eventually declare war on Tehran as a last-ditch effort to curb Iran’s enrichment capabilities, Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported on Saturday.

Detailed military plans to bomb Iran’s nuclear infrastructure have long been on the table in Tel Aviv.

In a Friday interview, former Israeli UN ambassador Dan Gillerman nevertheless revealed that Tel Aviv is preparing a military offensive against the country.

Gillerman explained that Israel could no longer afford to wait for international efforts to bring Iran’s enrichment to an end.

Israeli legislator and weapons expert Isaac Ben-Israel has also called for Tel Aviv to attack Tehran in the coming year.

  • One minor quibble...Obama isn't Jimmy Carter redux...Carter was the prototype Barack Obama. This new and improved version is going to be FAR more incompetent and overwhelmed by the office.
  • I'd have to agree with that, Eric
  • This sort of conflict would be Rahm Emanuel's dream.
  • hellosnackbar
It's certainly going to be a stern test for the Obamessiah if it happens.
  • Kal_El
All I can say is it certainly does suck to be Iran, if the Israeli military decide to strike...
  • Beejj
Yup, Kal. God help the Iranians if they tangle with the Israelis. But of course, God will not help them ... he hates Muslims.
  • XD45c
Eric, I also agree - IF the republic can survive, just how can we keep HIS trap shut? We haven't done a good job of shutting up the prototype.

The Israelis are just fighting another part of the same fight. And the PROBLEM is Islam. Not every Muslim may be a terrorist, but just about 99.9% of the terrorists ARE Muslims. This is likely to never change because to try and convince a believing Muslim that he or she is not destined to rule the world under sharia according to Islamic prophecy, is to ask them to DENY everything Islam stands for. George Bush on his worst day was infinitely better than B. Hussein(name of Mohammed's horse) Obama on his best day. BUT...W should NEVER have called Islam a "religion of peace" (it's not) or one of the great Abrahamic faiths...a real insult to believing Christians and Jews everywhere. At the end of the day all Muslims will respect is an army that can kick their ass. (Wonder if our special forces will be mixing in too? I HOPE SO).

Here’s a little something the President snuck in while everybody was watching the Stimulus Bill:

Posted on Sunday, February 08, 2009 5:18:31 PM by NoLibZone President Barack Obama has signed an executive order presidential determination allowing potentially hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to resettle in the United States. Sure, what can go wrong when we allow hundreds of thousands of people who have been, as Mark Steyn memorably described, "marinated" in a "sick death cult," who voted for Hamas, and 55% of whom support suicide bombings live here and at the American taxpayers' expense:
BY EXECUTIVE ORDER, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza. The "presidential determination" which would allow hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4th. President Obama's decision, according to the Register, was necessitated by "the urgent refugee and migration needs" of the "victims." Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance
Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Here’s the link to the Federal Register, lest anything think this stuff is made up!

Paul, this is terrifying. Do Americans know about this? What is Obama's agenda? What is he thinking? Are American journalists jumping up and down over this outrage? Why would an American President so endanger the people he leads and represents? Does he care more about the welfare of foreign Muslims than he does of his own people? What are other politicians saying about this?
  • Paul
Well it is an interesting thing. Even jihadwatch.com and religionofpeace.com missed this one. I received an e-mail from a friend who is also a politically active conservative lawyer and I thought to myself, it couldn't be true. So I checked the Federal Register and it was right there. I have sent this on to Rush Limbaugh and a couple other conservative commentators in the hope that they will pick this thing up and run with it. Americans need to understand. We have elected a socialist. He may attend a Christian church (actually at the moment he doesn't) but he has deep empathy for his Muslim roots. Just because the man in president doesn't mean that he will automatically put the interests of America first in all cases. He clearly believes he can talk the Muslim (i.e. Iran, Syria, etc.) into changing their ways. To them this president will be what Lenin used to refer to (in the context of Western libs who sympathized with Communism) as "useful idiots". 21 million American taxpayer dollars flowing into the coffers of terrorists is outrageous and REAL.

I've read your posts with great interest. I truly hope that America will not be following Europe down the slippery slope we embarked on with increased Muslim immigration. You only have to look at the UK, Sweden, Holland, or Norway to see where this leads.

Why on earth isn't Obama - and the rest of the world - demanding that Muslim and Arab nations repatriate the Palestinians? The vast majority of them are the descendants *of* Arabs in the first place!

Obama's desperate efforts to appease the Muslim world are deplorable.
  • JEWHAWK
America needs desperately to sell its Treasury Bonds and only a few
countries such as China and Saudi Arabia are capable to purchase
    it.
The recent economic debacle could explain a lot of things Obama's
doing lately, such as bowing to the muslim despot and apologizing
for America's 'mistakes' and 'arrogance' during a speech in Turkey.

This is on top of the already traditional appeasement effort due to
    Islam's very blood:OIL.

Israel has NOTHING to offer. This is the real problem.

Israel is ALONE and must fight the muslims ALONE,since it is
the only country who actually is in real danger of being NUKED
by an Islamic country.Europe and America are very calm and
nonchalant because it's not their hides that are at stake now.
  • hellosnackbar
This sort of nonsense is likely to lead to a preemptive Israeli attack.
Obama is either a naive fool or has some as yet unstated plan that can't be fathomed!
Either way there's a strong indication that he's not up to the job.
So far,I see no reason for optimism.
    I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
I love Mark Steyn he always seems to get it right.
