Where’s the outrage? Iran is the leading sponsor of terror around the world and the international community knows this.  Where is the international outrage? Where is Obama? Hillary? EU? NATO?

Anyone?

Iran and Russia have launched a defesummit nse in an effort to pave the way for major weapons sales.

On Feb. 17, Iranian Defense Minister Mustafa Najar began talks with Russian leaders in Moscow, Middle East
Newsline reported. Officials said Najar held meetings with his Russian counterpart, Anatoly Serdyukov, on Moscow’s offers to sell major weapons systems to Teheran.

Officials said Russia has presented proposals for the modernization of much of Iran’s military. They said the package would include new aircraft, including the upgraded MiG-29SMT, S-300 air defense systems and naval platforms.

Oh, and there’s this from the Examiner

Russia threatens to send air defense system to protect Iranian nukes

Russia is about to sell Iran a brigade of the S-300 air defense missiles to protect its nuke facilities against attack.  This isn’t a new topic.  Russia agreed before to not sell them to Iran, but now it seems Putin is playing poker with the young American president.

The message:  You back off on missile shields in Eastern Europe, and I’ll back off on protecting a fanatic’s nuclear weapons development program.

The problem is that Obama is out of his league.  His “let’s talk this through” approach is naive.  It projects weakness.  We are dealing with two cultures – Russian and Arabian Persians (see comment below – my point stands, however) – that work from positions of strength, real and perceived.  They respond only to that – not to reason.

Russia has long been backward. An Elizabethan (the First) Englishman noted about them, "Both the weather and the people are beastly".
These kleptocrats face a greater threat from Islamofascism than we do but they short-sightedly, idiotically assist the muzzies just to spite the west. Meanwhile, in their backyard, the Chechnyans have curtailed sales of vodka and other alcohol as they become more sharia-compliant.
It's said that only 5% of Russians are practicing Christians. If that percentage could be increased, Russia would greatly improve. But that's true also in the west, and everywhere

Don't underestimate putin's awareness about what islam represents to 'mother Russia',
that is,a mortal danger. He knows that better than we.It's very doubtful that he'll let the mullahs
in Iran get their claws in nukes.
I bet he'll never forget or forgive BESLAN.I'm not even a ruskie and I don't.

    "BEASTLY"

Oh,yes. It's a very rugged people.Alas,in order to survive the demonic winters, they
developed a thick skin,so to speak...they are indeed ruthless and 'beastly',but also
wonderful pianists such as Sviatoslav Richter,Horowitz,Gilels,Kissin among many
    others musicians.

I'd rather appease the Putin/Medvedev duo than Ahmadinejad.
