NBC 2004 Flashback: Founder of Muslim TV station who beheaded wife talks about “understanding”

The founder of Bridges TV, Buffalo-based “American Muslim Lifestyle Network,” was charged yesterday with the beheading of his wife at the TV station. A little more than four years earlier, the couple were profiled on the NBC Nightly News by Ron Allen.

“I hope long-term, Bridges TV can play a role towards a better understanding between America and Islam,” Muzzammil Hassan said at the time. His wife, Aasiya Hassan, had recently filed for divorce.

    The insanity of islamic thought processes is actually amazing to me...it's so sick it's almost amusing. The answer to everything for them is to kill and justify the killing by reference to something in the idiotic koran or the bandit/thug anecdotes they call the hadith.

    Isn't it strange that there is a deafening silence from our muslim chums on such subjects.
    Clearly this poor woman overstepped the mark of muslim propriety by asking for a divorce.
    Yet another violent murder and they still ask for "respect".
    And who knows what heinous crimes (in his jaundiced eye) she was guilty of before.
    The irony is that his stated aim was to create a commonality and cultural "reach out"with his TV station.
    I fear his credibility has suffered a tiny setback.
    The bastard deserves to die.

    Divorce IS hard on a family, but I think this is going a little overboard in trying to avoid it. I'm really trying HARD not to "pun" here, but...there's no reason to lose your head. SORRY! Couldn't resist. This guy typifies his "religion of peace" PERFECTLY.
