It's really scary how many of you agree with this monstrosity of a human being and are writing comments of praise about this "speech." As a high school social studies teacher, my most immediate response to watching this vitriol is to feel troubled by how many ignorant people there are in this country who are gullible enough to fall for the junk that people like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity are selling. So many of you like to talk about the "principles of 1776" without even knowing what those principles are. It makes me laugh hysterically to see a guy like Glenn Beck writing a book in which he celebrates his interpretation of Thomas Paine's political philosophy. However, Thomas Paine's ideas were considered radical at the time and prior to his pamphlet being published the consensus within the American colonies was that they should not break away from England. If Thomas Paine were to publish an analogous piece of writing today, Glenn Beck would rush to the defense of the British monarchy and label Paine a traitor to the crown. In the same way, so many of you can read the Bible and conclude that its theme is hatred of "the other" rather than love and compassion towards all of humanity.

If Rush was being honest with any of you "sheeple" he would tell you that the real definition of conservatism is a perpetual desire to preserve the status quo.

It's really sad that conservatives like yourselves don't realize how the Republican Party is playing you all like game pieces on a chess board. They pander to caricatures of what they perceive you to be and win you over with their ostensible family values so meanwhile they can advance economic policies that are the exact opposite of what would actually be in your best interests.

Monstrosity is what President Hussein is doing to future generations of Americans...building up a gargantuan debt that will never be paid for the sake of his spurious ideology.

Vitriol is what I've seen watching Maher, Garofalo, Stewart, Sykes, Fey, Letterman, Olberman, CNN's deeply biased coverage ...the whole slew of MSNBC's folks spewing diatribes against conservatives...

The Bible just kept us, the Jewish People, religiously and culturally together throughout the last 2,000 years whereas our neighbors became history book's footnotes as the Hitites, Cananites, Philistines, Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians...The Bible is the greatest Jewish legacy to the Western Civilization.

Nobody in here is gullible enough to buy everything the GOP says at face value. We aren't morons
and we know that Republicans should wise up, live up to their promise of being the ones to execute
a fiscally conservative agenda. Glenn Beck is a LIBERTARIAN, therefore he is just DEMANDING
from the American politicians - from BOTH sides of the aisle - to be straightforward to their
constituencies about what they are doing in Washington.

If you think that leading America to BANKRUPCY is in America's "best interest", you are a
    FOOL.

Don't rush (pun intended)around with your dripping tar brush,
If you'd bothered to read the archives you'd know that several contributors here regard the liikes of Glenn Beck,O'Reilly, and Hannity as a rabble of vulgar blowhards.
Real conservatives are more like W F Buckley and Barry Goldwater..
I have no experience of Rush Limbaugh except to hear a testament to a talented ENT surgeon on the BBC;who had saved his hearing.

It was very good to see that Mr.Limbaugh managed to lose
some weight.I want him in good health in order to answer
the absurdities coming from the Democrats.

People such as NANCY PELOSI,HARRY REID and Jabba the Hut's
twin brother,BARNEY FRANK are dangerous critters and can't be
left ranting whatever they want on national TV without being
    challenged.

I wish you (Rush) would be President. You have all the right ideas about the TRUE AMERICAN PEOPLE. and what they stand for and want. If the people would only listen to you and not to the "liars" we would be a whole lot better off and could come out of this big mess we are in. When are the people going to wake up and listen to the truth?????????
I wish I could do something to convince all the "enthralled" people that it will be a big mistake to have national health care. It hasn't worked in any country that has it. I hope you can convince the people that it wrong. Thanks for listening to me.

I've seen Rush Limbaugh's speech at FOX NEWS.What a speech!!
I agree 100% with him. It's time for GOP to come back to its basics,
that is,LESS POWER TO THE GOVERNMENT and MORE TO THE
    PEOPLE.

It seems that many Americans FORGOT 1776's principles.
    As a Brazilian Jew,I need a STRONG AMERICA,the ONLY
country in the world that can make Democracy prevail.

I have not listened to this speech because my computer is as slow as a Muslim's brain. As well, given that I do not live with the good old US of A, I am out of touch with Mr Limbaugh and his views. Can someone please tell me the guts of what he says?
  • Jim
    Tools.
  • I loved his speech and I hope that some of the disgruntled Obama voters saw it too. We need to fight hard to get some real conservatives elected in 2010 and 2012.
