Audio: Hannity interviews Republican Arlen Specter on his support for the spendulus package

Do you like this story?

I recorded the audio today.  It was too good to pass up. Listen as Hannity grills Specter over his support for the Theft Act of 2009.  Someone who’s supposed to represent conservatism has completely sold out to the Democrats.  This is a perfect example of the problems within the Republican party and the conservative/libertarian movement.  We need to make an example our of Specter and weed him out!

He is truly blind to what is going on around him.  It seems that all he cares about gaining political points with moderate Democrat constituency, when really, he’s so isolated in his support for this bill, (along with Snowe and Collins) that it will backfire when a REAL conservative unseats him in the next election.

I've looked all over. I can't find anyone in the conservative ranks who has a solution anywhere near as transparent and easy-to-understand as Obama's stimulus plan. Nor have I found anyone of you who has any answers or solutions that will guarantee a recovery. You didn't have any solutions for the last eight years except the old, "I got mine, f*** you." Now you expect Obama to bail you out in two weeks?

We've all had enough of your "conservatism." You've all been getting a handout for eight years and now you want more and you still don't want to work for it.

Unfortunately, I live in PA with Spector as my Senator. He is a traitor, and why he, Collins & Snowe aren't locked in a pilory in front of the US Senate being pelted with rotten vegetables right now is beyond me. What happened to the Obama that said "I will post every bill on the Internet so the public can see what we are voting on" when he was campaigning? He is making use of every deceitful measure to get this passed under the radar. Where is the transparency? Where is the accountability? Is there anyone of his apointees not guilty of something? IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!

Gustav, “transparent and easy to understand” means you haven't even tried to read the stimulus plan. How many pages did you supposedly read each night since it was passed? If you really want “solutions that will guarantee a recovery” then you could easily look to our own US history and what has already worked to reverse our current economic trend. Obama has had had far more than “two weeks” to promote ideas that will accomplish this, but he isn't interested in improving our economy, because if he were, he would have promoted REDUCING Federal spending and cutting taxes for all tax payers. Conservatism promotes ideas that will improve the civil society, what you are selling is more top-down, authoritarian, big-government-is-smarter-than-the-average-citizen way of thinking. You haven't looked for Conservative answers to our current problems just as the Congressional Dems won't even entertain any of the many alternative bills that the Repubs have authored as alternatives to the Dems bills on everything from HealthCare reform, to economic stimulus, to banking reform, etc. You have embarrased yourself, sir.
