Barack Obama: The Next Jimmy Carter?

Do you like this story?

President Obama is sounding more and more like Jimmy “The Dhimmi” Carter (the WORST POTUS in our history). We’ve all heard the BS speeches, about rebuilding our (The United States’) image in the muslim world. I personally could not care less what the muslim world thinks of the US, considering the muslim world has been attacking the US since 1784, and Europe, along with Asia and Africa, since the 8th century. How about muslims work on restoring THEIR IMAGE (You know, the one where we see a muslim mother holding a kid in one arm, an AK in the other, and wrapped in a suicide vest? Or the one where we see a muslim blowing himself up for allah, killing 50 muslims to get at one US Soldier?)?

We heard him say that “there is no God who condones killing an innocent human being.” yet he himself is for abortion, or, KILLING BABIES. Now he is telling us he will charm the muslim world, so they will stop killing, raping, suicide bombing, hi-jacking, and all around trying to destroy the West, despite 1400 years plus of evidence to the contrary.

Obama’s charm offensive and the global jihad

EARLY IN HIS presidency, Jimmy Carter set about to a letter US policy toward the Soviet Union. Six days after his inauguration he sent a letter to Soviet ruler Leonid Brezhnev, hailing the two countries’ “common efforts towards formation of a more peaceful, just, and humane world” and saluting Brezhnev’s supposed “aspiration for strengthening and preserving. . . peace.” In a commencement address at Notre Dame, he declared that Americans had shed their “inordinate fear of communism.” In the months that followed, Carter slashed the defense budget, scrapped the B-1 bomber, welcomed the Sandinista coup in Nicaragua, and launched diplomatic relations with Cuba’s dictator, Fidel Castro. (Shades of Obama and islam [if one can call the fear of islam "inordinate"] andObama opening talks with Mahmoud “Israel should be wiped off the map” Ahmadinejad of Iran, which has played a direct hand in American Forces dying in Iraq, training  jihadis and providing EFP’s. -ed)

It wasn’t until the Soviets invaded Afghanistan in 1979 that Carter finally woke up to his naiveté. Moscow’s brutal aggression “made a more dramatic change in my opinion of what the Soviets’ ultimate goals are,” he admitted, “than anything they’ve done in the previous time that I’ve been in office.” (What will it take for Obama to wake up and realize islam is NOT peaceful, nor is it friendly to infidels? Another 9/11? Something WORSE? He has already admitted he KNOWS Americans will be in danger when he closes Guantanamo Jihadi Resort, yet is still going through with it!-ed)

Carter’s failure to understand the threat posed by the Soviet Empire had costly consequences for America and the world. Will that pattern now be repeated with Barack Obama and the threat from radical Islam?

Ever since taking office two weeks ago, Obama has been at pains to proclaim a change in US-Muslim relations. In his inaugural address he invited “the Muslim world” to embark on “a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect.” Six days later he gave Al-Arabiya, an Arabic-language satellite channel, his first televised interview as president. This week he continued his charm offensive with a friendly letter to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. He has promised to deliver a major address in an Islamic capital by spring.

The president cannot be faulted for using his bully pulpit to reach out to the world’s Muslims, especially given his Muslim roots and family ties. But running through his words is a disconcerting theme: that US-Muslim tensions are a recent phenomenon brought on largely by American provincialism, heavy-handedness, and disrespect. Missing is any sense that the United States has long been the target of jihadist fanatics who enjoy widespread support in the Muslim world.

“My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy,” Obama said, although “we sometimes make mistakes” and “have not been perfect,” and even though “too often the United States starts by dictating” and fails to use “the language of respect.”

Such apologetic pandering is inexcusable. For decades, as commentator Charles Krauthammer noted last week, “America did not just respect Muslims, it bled for them.” To liberate oppressed Muslims in Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq, hundreds of thousands of Americans risked – and in some cases lost – their lives. Respect? Not even the Islamist atrocities of 9/11 provoked American leaders to treat Islam with disdain. “We respect your faith,” George W. Bush earnestly told the world’s Muslims on Sept. 20, 2001. “Its teachings are good and peaceful, and those who commit evil in the name of Allah blaspheme the name of Allah.”

Even more troubling is Obama’s seeming cluelessness about US-Muslim history.

“The same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago – there’s no reason why we can’t restore that,” he said on Al-Arabiya. (I don’t even have to mention the last three decades, see the paragraph below. I can go back to the 18th Century, before the United States even HAD A FOREIGN POLICY!!! And guess who was attacking us after our Independence? MUSLIMS, in the name of allah!!!!-ed)

Well, let’s see. Twenty years ago, American hostages were being tortured by their Hezbollah captors in Beirut and hundreds of grief-stricken families were in mourning for their loved ones, murdered by Libyan terrorists as they flew home for Christmas on Pan Am Flight 103. Thirty years ago, the Ayatollah Khomeini seized power in Iran, proclaimed America “the Great Satan,” and inspired his acolytes to storm the US embassy and hold scores of Americans hostage. That same year Islamist mobs destroyed the US embassies in Pakistan and Libya, and staged anti-American riots in other countries.

Radical Islam’s hatred of the United States is not a recent phenomenon, it has nothing to do with “respect,” and it isn’t going to be extinguished by sweet words – not even those of so sweet a speaker as our new president. Sooner or later, Obama must confront an implacable reality: The global jihad, like the Cold War, will end only when our enemies lose their will to fight – or when we do. Let us hope he’s a quicker study than Jimmy Carter. (I am not counting on it, considering after he was elected, he chose to acknowledge his muslim roots on Terror News Network 1, aka Al Arabiya. -ed)

Not only does this imbecile B Hussein Obama have his head up his ass, he is wearing a bucket as a hat while doing so. Or he is outright lying, practicing the muslim tool, called taqqiya, Muhammad’s sanctioned lying to advance islam when they (muslim jihadis) are weak and cannot conquer.

I'm still wondering why the US Dept. of Homeland Security has not yet arrested Carter for violation of Federal terrorism laws when he became the official advisor to Hamas. See: http://tinyurl.com/855du3 – "It is unlawful for a person in the United States or subject to the jurisdiction of the United States to knowingly provide 'material support or resources' to a designated FTO [Foreign Terrorist Organization]. (The term "material support or resources" is defined in 18 U.S.C. § 2339A(b)(1) as '… expert advice or assistance …' 18 U.S.C. § 2339A(b)(3) further provides that for these purposes the term 'expert advice or assistance' means advice or assistance derived from scientific, technical or other specialized knowledge.'"

Both his church and the Carter Foundation did not return e-mail requests for information. I guess it's the same cowards who refuse to prosecute Bush, Cheney, and the members of that administration.

My mistake. The last sentence goes with the previous paragraph.

I'm afraid that all Obama's conciliatory rhetoric toward Muslims will
be fruitless as soon as the NEXT 9/11 should happen,God forbid.
I wonder WHAT he'd tell Americans when this happen.

Jimmy Carter is a complete MORON,to say the least.I'm afraid
though, that SAUDI ARABIA pays him a monthly sum to keep
him talking his diatribes against Israel and about the Middle
    East.That's a very plausible explanation.

Hussein O is not a fool- He is a muzz through and through and will deliver us into the hands of satan's spawn within the year- Make no mistake, we must arm and be prepared- He will arm his "civil defense corps" and declare martial law to contain us while the muzz minions move in- He is the Great Deceiver- Along with Pelosi, the Whore of Babylon, we are being given up for sacrifice- Live free or live under sharia- Jesus is our Saviour, not the demon the muzz worship- Watch the muzz around you; take your cue from their activity- And strike before you're butchered in you sleep!

  • Greg

Prosecute Bush and Cheney?……Why? What possibly for? Fighting terrorism? Freeing muslim peoples like in Bosnia and Afganistan?
How can you possible think Carter and Bush in the same sentence?
    Sheeesh.

  • Lee

Well, lets see: for outright lying about Iraq; for the torture of prisoners of war (also a war crime); for the slaughter of tens of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan; for refusing to prosecute the Saudis, who are responsible for much of the terrorism; for the Justice Dept. fiasco; for revealing the name of a CIA agent; and a whole lot of other things, if someone just had the guts to look at all the materials that was marked secret by the Bush administration (which is virtually everything they did). Fighting terrorism? Yeah, right. They never went after terrorists in Africa or other places where there wasn't oil (Bosnia, BTW, was Clinton). They never went after Muslim terrorists in Israel, Lebanon and Jordan who murdered US citizens. They gave money to the PLO in Israel, even though it was known to be used for terrorism — they even trained them! What does that mean, anyway, "fight terrorism". EVERYTHING is terrorism now: bank robbery is terrorism, kidnapping is terrorism, spousal abuse is terrorism. It's just a very nebulous term used in order to do things that people would not otherwise support. Freeing Muslim people? Yeah, that didn't work in Afghanistan, the Taliban is back (well, they never left). Freeing them from what? Their religion? They are fight the US soldiers in Iraq, they want the US out of their country.

Does one of the commentators know that Satan's spawn is an insult that has been directed against Jews? He should read the following article:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_identity

I am not an anti-Semite, but I believe that people should know about th origins of such concepts like Saan's sawn. I am therefore informing as many people as I can about Christian Identity.

The One has already stepped on his own peepee a couple times. When he walked into the White house and looked around for the first time, there is no doubt in my mind that he KNEW right then, that he'd bitten off more than he could chew. The democrat, libtard pukes have already made multiple messes of things, not the least their abortion of bailouts for banker pukes that are laughing themselves all the way into a very rich retirement. We can expect more of the same. Massive debt, loss of international prestige, defeat at arms and a huge decrease in combat arms effectiveness. Gladly, I don't live in a big city so I may be immune to the muz attacks that will come, and be successful, because of the resulting loss in security effectiveness that the Democrat congress will give us with their security and military funding cuts….which is a standard of the libtard M.O.. God bless America, and I hope nobody I know gets killed through liberal stupidity.

Who the heck ever heard of this weird stuff before…I never did. I heard of the Order.(another neo nazi cult of ex-cons and assorted dingbats)…Jeez, where do you find this stuff?

  • http://intensedebate.com/people/Tonto2 Tonto2

Iraq was invaded to grab their WMDs…which all the intelligence agencies in the world said were there. Bush had the guts to go on national TV and said they were not there. Would Carter have? Would Clinton or that other wanker, Kerry? Doubtful. Torture? Waterboarding is less stressful than hell week for seals in training or even Marines and certainly for Airborne troops….but you wouldn't know about that. The prisoners at GITMO were living better at GITMO than they ever did in their lives. They were clean, well fed and left in peace for the most part. Ask a former guard. They made more trouble for each other than they ever got from the guards or the interogators. Saudis control the oil to the US and we have to eat s— for it because the democrat libtards have blocked efforts for US companies to drill for our own or indeed, to build new refineries for what we have. We went after terrorists in several different countries….you just don't know about that. The green beenies and seals are everywhere.

Afghanis are scared to death of US soldiers because the best trained killers in Afghanistan are the Americans. We saved the muz sorry butts in Bosnia. The Serbs were going to wipe them all out, Clinton stopped them. We tried to stop the mass murders in Sudan too, but couldn't get the funding to do the job. Bush did a lot of good, he'll go down as one of the better presidents. What have the libtards done? They forced the banks to allow mortgages for people who couldn't afford them and caused the worst financial crisis the world ever saw….and it ain't over. Obamasiah is really getting ready to screw things up….then you'll have plenty to whine about, no matter where you live…it'll be world wide. Our best bet is to all of us do a "John Galt".

"outright lying about Iraq" lying about what? they found the yellow cake being processed for nuclear weapons, it is now in Canada being used for power. Iraq violated at least 15 UN treaty agreements from the first gulf war, you see this would explain all the other countries being there too.

"torture of prisoners of war" being laughed at by females is not torture, man up.

"slaughter of tens of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan" just as hamas made up big numbers so did they in Iraq to get sympathy from American traitors-good work there for supporting our enemy.

"revealing the name of a CIA agent" turns out it wasn't them, maybe you missed the news story from last year, but go with the propaganda it makes you look so smart.

"They never went after Muslim terrorists in Israel, Lebanon and Jordan" so this is how you react when we go into 2 countries, imagine the wet dream orgasim you woulda had if we had attacked everyone on your list. just like obambi you don't seem to understand the term "soverign nation", look it up.

"They gave money to the PLO in Israel" in they, you mean Carter and the democrats.

so we can't give them "aid" because they will use it for weapons. and according to you we can't kill them. so what are we supposed to do? get on our knees and pray like those scum bags? not gonna happen from this Marine.

  • Beej

Lee, you raise some pithy points, but please do not go overboard lest you lose credibility. I agree with much of what you say, but please don't claim that Americans have "slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan" because it weakens your case. Why did America invade Iraq? I seem to remember it had something to do with WMD. The fact that these were never found proves only that they were never found: it does NOT prove that they did not exist and do not exist. Big place, Iraq, and Syria is next door. For all its faults, America has spilt the blood of its youth to try to bring democracy to Iraq, a cause I personally never felt worthwhile, for the good of the Iraqi people. American politicians (not AMERICA) have, like British politicians, sometimes blundered badly in choosing those they support (Idi Amin comes to mind, as do Guatemalan fascists), but without American intervention countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan would have no hope whatever of ridding themselves of the shackles of despotism. Guantanamo? An ugly business, yes, but when you fight terrorists you would be foolish to employ Boy Scout tactics. Um …. I don't seem to recall televised beheadings there, do you? Having studied history to the best of my ability and having taught in America I have mixed feelings about that country, as I do about my own country, but America remains the bastion of freedom in our imperfect world. God help us all without America.

Carter, along with Harry "The Iraq War is lost" Reid and Nancy Pelosi should all be tried for treason against the United States in a time of war, and punished accordingly. Toss that asshole Murtha, along with all those other anti-American, wanna be surrender monkeys. Read Article III, Section 3 of The Constitution. A little tidbit about providing comfort and/or aid to the enemy.
