Unbelievable, everyday there’s a story about Obama making this country less safe. First he closes Gitmo, gives terrorists full rights under the Constitution, then we can can’t say “war on terror”, then we can’t say “enemy combatants”, oh and don’t dare say “Islam”.
Now Obama has secretly ended a program that let pilots carry guns:
After the September 11 attacks, commercial airline pilots were allowed to carry guns if they completed a federal-safety program. No longer would unarmed pilots be defenseless as remorseless hijackers seized control of aircraft and rammed them into buildings.
Now President Obama is quietly ending the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology.
The Obama administration this past week diverted some $2 million from the pilot training program to hire more supervisory staff, who will engage in field inspections of pilots.
Thanks Obama. I’m glad your’re making sure you cut back training pilots to defend themselves while beefing up your staff of to keep those dangerous pilots in check. That’s change you can believe in.
