Somali pirates (jihadis, really) promise to kill future French, American hostages

Funny, those jihadis can kill and kidnap civilian crewmembers, but get all whiny when they get popped for their crimes. Typical jihadis playing the victim card (see Abu Ghraib’s naked twister playing jihadi prisoners, and Gitmo Resort’s jihadis crying because they were deprived of sleep and waterboarded, despite the FACT that jihadis torture, rape and behead their prisoners).

Pirates vow to kill U.S., French sailors

(CNN) — Two pirates in Somalia vowed revenge Monday, after the U.S. military killed three pirates and freed a U.S. ship captain who had been held hostage for several days.

The pirates told a Somali journalist that they were angered by the U.S. action, as well as a French raid Friday that killed two pirates and one hostage and freed four hostages.

“We have decided to kill U.S. and French sailors if they happen to be among our future hostages,” said Abdullahi Ahmed, a member of a pirate group based at Harardhere, a coastal town in central Somalia.

President Obama said Monday the United States will confront pirates and hold them “accountable for their crimes.”

Obama added that he is proud of the military’s actions in rescuing Capt. Richard Phillips from his pirate captors.

Members of the U.S. Navy shot and killed three pirates who had been holding Phillips hostage in a lifeboat on Sunday evening, a military official said. The pirates seized Phillips after a failed attempt to hijack his ship, the Maersk Alabama.

For five days the pirates held Phillips in the lifeboat as U.S. Navy ships closed in and lingered nearby.

On Sunday, U.S. Navy snipers opened fire on the lifeboat after seeing one pirate point an AK-47 at the captain’s back, the U.S. military said. The shootings occurred as one pirate was aboard the USS Bainbridge negotiating over Phillips’ fate.

Three pirates in the lifeboat were killed. Phillips was not hurt. He was taken to another U.S. Navy vessel, the U.S. military said, where he received a medical checkup and spoke by phone with his wife in the United States.

Pirates in Somalia identified the slain men as Mohamed Ahmed Adawe, Nur Dalabey and Khalif Guled. Two of them — Dalabey and Guled — were among the “most experienced men” in a group that has hijacked seagoing vessels for money, Ahmed said.

They were killed two days after the French military freed four hostages, including a child, who had been held by pirates for nearly a week on the yacht, Tanit, off Somalia’s coast. In that operation, a hostage and two pirates were killed, the French Defense Ministry said, while three pirates were captured.

The military actions angered Ali Nur, a pirate who is based in Gara’ad, a coastal village in the semi-autonomous region of Puntland, in northern Somalia.

“From now on, after the killings by the U.S. and France, we will add some harsher steps in our dealings with hostages, particularly American and French hostages,” Nur told a journalist.

The U.S. military acknowledged Sunday that its actions to rescue Phillips could increase the risk of violence.

“This could escalate violence in this part of the world. No question about it,” U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Bill Gortney told reporters.

Nur issued a warning to the United States.

“The killing of our boys was aggression, and the U.S. will see what they get from their operation,” he said.

So it is OK for jihadis/islamists/pirates, whatever the media calls them to elicit sympathy from their fellow marxists/leftists, to attack and kill innocent civilians, but when we kill them, that is aggression. Got it? Sounds an awful lot like the jihadis we house at Gitmo, who have no problem blowing themselves and others up for allah, but whine like a bunch of  four year olds when interrogated.

"The killing of our boys was aggression." Behold the Muslim mind! But what can anyone expect from people who take the Koran to be an unimpeachable source of truth? Yes, the same Koran that claims the earth is flat. Lots of Muslims believe this because it's in their idiotic book.

I don't know what they call it where you come from, but around here it's called "advertising for an ass whipping". These 79 pound gunslingers can talk all the smack they want, but remember, somebody is listening and waiting to see what exactly they're going to do. They start killing hostages, selected by country or not, they are going down in a big hurry. So far, all they did was rob at gunpoint....murder is a different deal. Start looking for air strikes from carrier based planes. Right now, it's probably a matter of deciding who's carrier is going to be stationed in the area and who will pay the bill for it. Those guys are dead and don't know it yet.

In the first world war the Brits had some destroyers which had their super structure disguised to look like helpless merchant men.
Their purpose was to lure early German U boats near ;whence the Brits opened up with deck guns and depth charges.
After several U boats were annihilated ;the Germans called this tactic unsporting.
The net effect was that Uboat attacks diminished significantly.
These ships were calledQ ships(a metaphorical wolf in sheeps' clothing.)
Some of those old sea dogs were awfully canny in dealing with this threat.
A similar tactic could be used today;in the game of fishing for pirates.
A guard rail through which a lethal electrical current was passing might also cool their ardour.

In WWII, the Germans had ships disguised as merchantmen. One was named "Atlantis" I think and there was a book about it's expolits. They "lured" other ships into their proximity by seeming to be harmless, and then attacked and sank them. Guess it wasn't all THAT unsporting. But like I said above...these Somali dudes are in for a real lesson. It will be coming, and not too far away.

    Come on...

“The killing of our boys was aggression, and the U.S. will see what they get from their operation,”

I urge ALL shipping Companies to purchase Browning .50 machine guns and install five to six of'em on EACH
SHIP.This will sufice to ward off the muslim piracy from its cargoes and crew, for a short burst of .50 bullets will
convince even a muslim to keep their claws off the ships.

There are many things like this that can be done. Adding a few LAWs (Light Anti-tank Weapons, our version of the rpg) to the armaments might help too. You'd probably need to arm the crew with small arms in case the pirates did manage to get in close. I suggest the merchant ships form convoys, navy escorts of the convoys even better. How about slipping some ships that look like the pirates mother ships in amongst them. Then there's blockades, and, finally, going in and taking out their lairs.

By the way, I read an article that quoted one of the captain's captors as saying they wanted $6 mil or they would shoot the infidel, confirming the true nature of the "pirates".
