Jimmy Carter's entire claim to fame may well be that he is the WORST president in the history of the US to date. His leftist accomplishments include setting up the financial crisis the nation is currently in by signing the Fair Housing Act. I, and many others, feel that that Act was the first step in a socialist conspiracy to bankrupt America that the obamanator is pursuing with such rampaging vigor. He should stick to knocking nails for Habitat for Humanity, he sure ain't good for anything else except maybe target practice.

Are telling Tonto that while it was perfectly acceptable for liberals to
lambaste President Bush and compare him to a monkey, even going so far as

as for that “desert one” thing…i have it on good authority, that the mission was ruined by the crews not paying attention to the instructions they were given about the night-vision goggle thingys they wore. at that time, the technology was new, and not widely used by the armed forces, they were supplied to the military by a different government agency. there may or may not have been a sandstorm, but that didn't really matter because the night vision goggles ruined depth pecerption, and they were told that one crewmember had to not wear them so someone would be able to tell how far away the other helicopters were. my freind's dad who retired from said agency after that disaster, and because of it, told me this. was he lying? who knows. he had no reason to lie to me about it though, all i did was ask him why he retired.

I hope you are correct about his getting America out of some messes, Julius, but I trust his actions to achieve this will not prove to be at the cost of Israel's security. His speech in Ankara worries me, however, because it appears he is trying to be all things to all people, going so far as to lard Islam with praise because of its great contributions. As I have asked several times on this site recently: what has it done for the world over the past few hundred years? Nothing, as far as I can see, so why did Obama utter such words? Is he, like Carter, striving to be seen as Mr Nice Guy, when his job is to put the interests of Americans at the top of his list of priorities even if it results in losing popularity abroad?

I consider myself to hold conservative views, but my parents were not related, I attended several universities and I strive to keep an open mind. Before you hang that label on Tonto I suggest you read a collection of his posts.

After watching a program on professional snipers and seeing them hit a small target at 1200 metres.I fail to see how luck could have played any part in the success achieved by professionals of this calibre.(pun intended)
I wouldn't be too hasty about calling Tonto et al a dumb ass Julius!
As a non American (from outside looking in) I see only ineptitude by Obama.
However,like many people outside the USA I wish him all the luck and hope that
his judgement and actions will result in history naming him "a great man".
But as a dyed in the wool cynic I'm not holding my breath.
