Man kills sister, niece for ‘honour’

Lahore – A MAN shot dead his sister and niece on suspicion in the Green Town police limits on Monday. Police said accused Zulfiqar Khokhar, a resident of 705-D-I, Green Town, suspected that his sister Shahnaz, 35, and his brother’s daughter Farah, 18, had developed illicit relationships with some locals.

The accused, who had presented himself before the police after committing the crime, told the police that he had admonished the victims repeatedly but they turned a deaf ear to his advice. On Monday, the accused exchanged harsh words with the victims, which infuriated him and he opened fire at the women with a pump-action shotgun, killing them on the spot. Later, he presented himself before Green Town police and confessed the crime. 

Police collected evidence from the crime scene and shifted the bodies to morgue. A case has also been registered against the accused on the complaint of his brother Jafar Khokhar, the father of victim Farah. 

Talking to this correspondent, SP Sadr division Mansoorul Haq Rana said Zulfiqar had killed his sister and niece on suspicion. On Monday, the victims scolded the accused for admonishing them at this the accused killed the two women, the SP said. The assault weapon had been recovered, he added.

    That's it. Maybe you've noticed that NOBODY condoned ANY of the above mentioned cases,but the muslims DO CONDONE the "HONOR KILLINGS",even in Turkey,a country who has the NERVE to demand its acceptance into the family of European Nations. Your comparison is,to put it mildly,LUDICROUS.

    Slightly off the topic (What I think of Islam doesn't bear repeating) but how the hell did a pump-action shotgun become an "assault weapon"?

    As an avid shooter, It's the criminals, the evil and the sick that use weapons other then for sport or self defense. Changing our language to the pc version of babel is a great dis-service to ourselves and our republic.

    have seen everything first hand. Have you? Columbine was sick, but those two
    perps were severely disturbed. There have been school shootings out here,
    courtesy of the Gazans. They sell daughters here to men in their 40's and
    50's for marriage to pay off debt. I have seen it in Saudi, Yemen, and
    Pakistan.

    The evil things in American culture that you cite violate our Judeo-Christian values which are succinctly summed up in the Declaration of Independence. The evil we see in Islamic nations does not violate their culture; it is written into their culture. See the difference, or does that require too many neurons firing simultaneously in a complex network of neurons? Why don't you sit down all by yourself in a quiet and darkened room; or take a quiet stroll by yourself in a beautiful park, and just think for an hour or two?

    It seems that you are of the opinion that unless the non-Islamic world is entirely free of crime and wrong-doing Islam is above criticism. You miss the point. The crimes of Muslims are targeted when they are perpetrated in the name of Islam - when such actions are the result of interpretations of the words of an illiterate paedophile. We look with equal loathing upon the deeds of the Inquisition, but these blokes are no longer in business.
