Here in Brazil, the impact of the 1989 Berlin Wall's fall was crushing on the left, that since then adapted themselves into Social-Democracy thought.
Today Brazil is under the Worker's Party (Partido dos Trabalhadores - "PT")a former
Unionist,Socialist Party, that is more CONSERVATIVE than America's Democratic
Party, and Lula da Silva much more closer to the GOP's fiscal conservatism .

Here, the "LEFT" is the label of the Communist Party, which forgot the Berlin wall and
pretend that everything is like it where before. They're a bunch of CRETINS.

The CENTER and RIGHT has the same ideology, meaning NONE,but the concept
of FREE ENTERPRISE ,LESS GOVERNMENT,BETTER PUBLIC SERVICES.

What I meant by it was that is, we don't mince words in criticizing religion. I don't convert people, in fact, I hate conversions. I don't do to others what I dont want others to do to me.

I live quite well with Christians, Buddhists , pagans and etc.. as long as they don't try to convert me, everything will be fine.

Necrowulf, old boy, I am an atheist, but I am not "ruthlessly" against religion, unless it is Islam. I have never tried to convert anyone to atheism, if "convert" is the appropriate word. Yes, if anyone of a religious persuasion tries to point out my "failure" I will give him both barrels, but I would never try to dissuade anyone, unprovoked, from that which gives him solace and comfort. I have no right to attempt such a thing. After all, I might be wrong! True, I have espoused my loathing of religion on this site, but only to make clear my viewpoint. I believe a world free of religion would be a better place, but that does not give me licence to attempt to destroy the foundation of many people's lives. If they leave me alone I will leave them alone. I get along famously with Jews and Christians and Buddhists and Hindus, but Muslims are something else: they are a pestilence; a vile, cancerous, odious, creeping, murderous malignance.

JEWHAWK,
It has taken me 56 years to figure out what political "left" and political "right" mean. It seems to me that our founding fathers were neither by today’s understanding. Americanism, in my mind, is defined by our Declaration and Constitution (as actually written), and thereby should place our system in the middle - between right and left. Our founders were the "liberals" of their day; the "left" of their day because Authoritarian Monarchy was the "right." When the Marxist/Socialist Left finally came into political reality (French and Russian Revolutions), the political right was soon extinguished from the earth - ending with the defeat of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan . What we have left is the Marxist/Socialist Left and Americanism, the latter being to the right of the left, but actually standing in the same place as before which is "in the middle" between the left and the now defunct right. In my opinion Islamo-Fascism is now the only true “right” in the world.

The old "right" represents, in my mind, an elite class of rulers who tax a homogeneous population of serfs for the exclusive benefit of the ruling class; and no elections are required or tolerated.

The "left" represents, in my mind, an elite class of rulers who divide the population into the productive middle class and non-productive proletariat, robbing the former in order to pay the latter; and thereby purchasing the latter’s vote. This arrangement secures Leftists in their positions of political power through this property-related manipulation of the electoral process. Elections are tolerated, and in fact are required. The end result of the Leftist system is similar to the end result of the Rightist system because, as the middle class is robbed of property creatively attained through labor, their creativity is suppressed. The creativity of the recipient proletariat is also suppressed by a different mechanism: why work if you don't have to? As both groups in the end become less and less productive, the entire population sinks into serfdom under the heel of an elite Leftist ruling class. Voila: Left = Right.

It is my opinion that the Ancient Hebrew Revolution and the American Revolution are the only revolutions in history which; through blood, sweat and tears, adequately defended the sacred rights of man: Life, Liberty, Property (Pursuit of Happiness). It's somewhat like Spock would say: "Live Long, Live Free and Prosper."

Let me know what you think.

John Locke was a seventeenth century English philosopher of the enlightenment who, as far as I know was the first, or one of the first, to say that an individual's property creatively attained through labor was a God-given natural human right. Individual human creativity results in the creation of property which becomes a reflection of man made in God's image, as God Himself is creative.

Jean Jacques Rousseau, a seventeenth century French philosopher of the enlightenment, believed otherwise in regards to the property created by individuals. He believed that the State should take possession of personal property, which could then be "equitably" redistributed; and this was called "social justice." This idea was further refined by - you know who - Karl Marx. Rousseau and Marx were wrong; Locke and Jefferson were right.

"The first man who, having enclosed a piece of ground, bethought himself of saying This is mine, and found people simple enough to believe him, was the real founder of civil society. From how many crimes, wars and murders, from how many horrors and misfortunes might not any one have saved mankind, by pulling up the stakes, or filling up the ditch, and crying to his fellows, "Beware of listening to this impostor; you are undone if you once forget that the fruits of the earth belong to us all, and the earth itself to nobody." Jean Jacques Rousseau

http://www.constitution.org/jjr/ineq_04.htm

“The theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property” Karl Marx

“In one word, you reproach us with intending to do away with your property. Precisely so; that is just what we intend.” Karl Marx

“You must, therefore, confess that by "individual" you mean no other person than the bourgeois, than the middle-class owner of property. This person must, indeed, be swept out of the way, and made impossible.” Karl Marx

“In short, the Communists everywhere support every revolutionary movement against the existing social and political order of things. In all these movements, they bring to the front, as the leading question in each, the property question, no matter what its degree of development at the time.” Karl Marx

“The proletariat will use its political supremacy to wrest, by degree, all capital from the bourgeoisie, to centralize all instruments of production in the hands of the state… Of course, in the beginning, this cannot be effected except by means of despotic inroads on the rights of property” Karl Marx

http://www.anu.edu.au/polsci/marx/classics/mani...

“The proletariat will use its political supremacy to wrest, by degree, all capital from the bourgeoisie, to centralize all instruments of production in the hands of the state… Of course, in the beginning, this cannot be effected except by means of despotic inroads on the rights of property” Karl Marx

You are right JEWHAWK;

Although you never experienced the full wrath of those evangelicals like I did, I even got a few exorcisms, and death threats... because lets face it, many of them has a violent background. But yes, they are crooks and not as violent as islam, and they might never be... but in my view they are still violent, of course never on an islamic level, which is the top high level :)
