British Airline BMI wipes Israel from its maps to please Muslim customers

Classic dhimmitude with a shot anti-semitism and a splash of multiculturalism

bmi-airlineBritish airline BMI has deleted Israel from electronic maps that appear on its flights in order to avoid angering Muslim passengers, Army Radio reported on Thursday. 

Additional efforts on to appeal to Muslim customers include showing the distance and relation of the plane to Mecca, the direction to which Muslims face when they pray.

In the electronic maps appearing on a BMI flight from London to Tel Aviv, for example, Israel and its cities are not marked, with the exception of Haifa, which is spelled ‘Khefa,’ the city’s Arab name dating to before the War of Independence. 

BMI operates flights from England to many popular Muslim destinations, including Syria, Lebanon and Iran, but has also recently launched an agreement with the Tourism Ministry to add Israel to its roster.

    Wow, what a deliberately misleading cut-and-paste job.

    Here's some context:

    "In its apology, BMI said the plane bearing the map was acquired from a now-defunct airline that flew to several Arab countries in the Middle East"

    In other words, BMI buys a plane, forgets to change the maps, but their words are now being used to decry the imaginary "appeasement of Muslims".

    Muslims have the right to pray, and they have the right to eat halal meat. People who wish to deny them their rights, may want to move to a less multicultural society asap.

    Dude, the article states:

    "BMI says the airline asked for the map to be removed once it took over the planes, but there had been a technical mistake."

    The original post, in it's effort to blame "dhimmitude" (sic), deliberately omitted this context.

    I did read your sources, and it makes no difference. BMI made an error in failing to change its maps, and Muslim-bashers are trying to label it "appeasement". Sorry, but that line is complete nonsense.
